When I attempted to ask a question, she would stop me and tell me more about how my claim will be denied and how their doctor may deny services too. I was 100% ok with that risk but what I wasn't ok with was not being able to ask follow up questions. She said you are not using your own time (in fact, I am). She then proceeded to tell me that I should go back to work then. When I tried to ask her how I should go about that since the doctor has placed restrictions and a HR meeting determined those restrictions could not be accommodated (I was dismissed from work on my own time) She said if your hand doesn't hurt go back (the injury is my shoulder and I've still had no diagnosis). She then told me to be careful of complaining my way out of a job. As a member of the LASD community, I 100% do not recommend

My experience with Nathan was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I have filed a State Bar…read morecomplaint regarding his handling of my matters. I retained his firm expecting my cases to be reviewed and handled promptly. Instead, after approximately four months, I came away believing that Nathan had not meaningfully reviewed my files. During our conversation, he appeared unfamiliar with basic facts of my injuries, including the difference between a toe injury and a broken rib. He initially told me he had reviewed the file, but his lack of familiarity with fundamental details left me seriously questioning that. During those months, I was not referred for medical treatment through the case, and I believe the delay significantly affected my ability to address my injuries while my condition was worsening. There were also two matters involved. Nathan later told me that he does not handle premises-liability cases. What was especially frustrating was that both matters involved premises issues, yet this apparently was not identified until months after the firm had taken them on. He had previously discussed handling one of the two matters, which made the situation even more confusing and reinforced my concern that the files had not been adequately reviewed. When Nathan eventually said he would be dropping my case, I told him that, given the amount of time that had already passed, I expected at minimum a referral to another attorney. I also told him that I was prepared to file a complaint about how the matter had been handled. Rather than acknowledging my concerns or simply saying that mistakes had been made and apologizing, the conversation became disrespectful and unprofessional. After I stated that I intended to file a complaint, Nathan began characterizing me as "unstable" in front of people who were with me. They heard the conversation and found that characterization completely inappropriate. Saying that you intend to file a professional complaint because you are dissatisfied with an attorney's handling of your case is not, in my view, justification for being personally attacked or characterized that way. That response is a major reason I decided to pursue formal complaints. I would have had far more respect for an attorney who simply acknowledged the problem, apologized, helped transition the cases, and acted professionally. Instead, I believe months were lost, my medical situation worsened during that period, and I was left having to start over with new counsel. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this attorney or firm.
