Lawn Care express has it's ups and downs. Over the course of several years we've had to have managers come in to train their staff. The worst being that the crew skipped 3 weeks of cutting a section of grass that grew 12 inches over those 3 weeks. The crew just ignored that patch of grass and never cut the grass until a manager showed up. It made our yard look dumpy. Fortunately Brandon the manager was very helpful. in training his crew. First things first, I was happy with the actual lawn care services I was provided. Since I work from home, I'm always onsite when the company came to cut my lawn. The crew seemed professional and adept at their jobs. It's not the most detail-oriented lawn care service, but they're fast and provide a sufficient cut for the cost. Based on the actual lawn care alone, they provide an excellent value. That being said, I cannot really endorse this company. They started cutting my lawn toward the end of May / beginning of June 2016. All summer, they provided great service -- until 2016 Labor Day weekend rolled around. While away on holiday with my wife, I received a notification on my phone on 04 September 2016 that my credit card had been charged for 3 separate lawn care service when I'd only actually received one; I immediately called the company, leaving a voicemail requesting call back to resolve the matter sometime during the following week. Having not heard from the company by the following Friday, 09 September 2016, and only being able to reach their voicemail, I sent an email to the company as a last ditch effort before I'd be forced to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Within an hour, a representative finally called and apologized for the error. She also promised that I wouldn't be billed for my next two mowing services instead of offering a credit on the erroneous charges; the rep confirmed such in writing via an email shortly thereafter. Problem solved, right? Wrong. A couple weeks later on 23 September 2016, after having satisfied their promise of providing the next two cuts without a charge since I'd already prepaid for those services, the lawn care crew came and provided their typically fast and efficient lawn mowing service. But, later that day, when I was only expecting to be charged for that lone service received, I was charged for TWO lawn mowing services. I immediately tried to call the company, but it again went to voicemail. So, I emailed my disappointment and frustration with their billing practices. I was assured, via writing in an email again, that this was merely another mistake and "not [the company's] practice to overcharge or mischarge...customers." To make amends, the representative granted two additional credits -- one covering the prepayment I essentially made, and the other as a courtesy for my dealing with their mistakes. The company also offered discounted fall cleanup, which I did not accept. That was a headache, but we got it fixed for good, right? Wrong again. Fast forward to the evening of 07 October 2016. Earlier in the week on 03 October 2016, the crew came and provided their usual lawn care services, which was the first lawn service since the previous billing mistake due to a long period of rain in the area making it difficult to provide services. Thus, the cut was already prepaid by me due to the company's error in overbilling me with their previous invoice. Further, I expected one more future courtesy lawn service based on our previous correspondence. Yet, on that evening, I was charged full price for a lawn care service -- a service I, again, had already PREPAID for due to their billing mistake. I immediately emailed the company asking how they planned to resolve this matter, expecting an expeditious and apologetic response given the brazen nature of this third consecutive billing mistake. As of this writing, 13 October 2016, I still haven't received a response back from the company with regard to that third consecutive billing mistake. I attempted to call their customer service line several times this morning, but it always just goes to voicemail. Left with literally no other options, I called my credit card company and disputed the charge, offering plenty of written correspondence to backup my claims on the matter. I'm expecting a credit to my account in 3-5 business days. This level of incompetence is simply inexcusable. My mistake is assuming that providing my credit card number for automated billing would simplify my life, when in reality it has created a mini nightmare scenario. I recommend the actual lawn care services this company provides -- they're a great value for the price. But, seriously temper your expectations with regard to the service you will receive from their management and customer service personnel. If you do decide to utilize their services, I also strongly urge any and all customers to pay on a per service basis rather than providing your credit card and trying to setup automated billing... that was where I went wrong... and it will only result in one giant, seemingly never-ending headache. The snow plow driver who came through our alley was unnecessarily rude. We had to move a car into our driveway from the street and it got stuck in the alley right outside our driveway. The driver barked at me, told me to stay home next time, swore at me, and scratched up my car with his snow shovel before storming off. read more
