Anyone who chooses to willfully disregards posted signage and to disrespect, and trespass on private property is never someone I would do business with. This household is all natural and we believe in not using poisons that harm children, pets, wildlife, native flora and fauna. Did the "wildlife habitat" sign not deter you? I requested to have a pesticide applied to kill the food source feeding moles in my yard. As I observed the technician apply the pesticide it appeared to me that he was more concerned with finishing the job than soaking the areas where there was obvious mole activity. He spraying the pesticide all around trying to cover a large area while the majority of it escaped in the wind rather than soaking the areas where there was obvious mole activity. Needless to say I wasted nearly $700 dollars because the pesticide didn't work and I still have moles. read more

Due to some physical limitations, I contracted lawn Doctor to service. In almost 2 seasons my lawn went to basically a weed farm. We spent hundreds of dollars and our lawn looked worse than ever. I noticed on my Ring door bell replays that the technicians never spent more than 10 minutes in my yard. After several complaints and 2 visits from senior employees. I tried to explain my neighbors right and left had lush lawns compared to mine. My judgement is the liquid sprays the technicians administer in 10 minutes are not effective and possibly destructive. I stopped all treatments and started putting down Scott's Southern lawn treatments and Bayer insect products and my lawn is green again and mostly weed free. A business model that targets 10 minute treatments is somewhat bewildering. read more

I am very unsatisfied with this company. They push your services on you and come into your home without authorization and do their services and leave you a bill. This happened to me today. A few months back they came out here for a free consultation. They were ready to spray down I declined. I had just had the pergola and deck demolished. And told them my idea. They kept pushing about getting the soil tested I said no, get back with me in two weeks. 2 weeks came around and again I could stress enough that I only had clay soil back there and I told them my plan. I told them to check back in two months. They took it as to hold the service for two months. If the are calling and calling . I am not INTERESTED in the service. Doesn't give you the right to just come up in here spray my yard and do whatever it is that you need to do and then leave me a bill at the door. I tried calling the office. When Lawn Dr. started 5 visit ago, my lawn was green, pretty, however, the ants and weeds were starting to move in. I called Lawn Dr. They never sent anyone to meet with me. I waited for that. Then a bill showed on my door. They charged $180.00 for ants, $60.00 for weeds. 2nd visit, I called and told them I still have ants, and please only do side and front due to the back being shade. They would txt. or email me to say they would be doing my lawn the next day, at 10 ish in the am. However, always came around noon, when it was hot as ever!!!! between 4 and 5 visit, I noticed totall bare spots, brownish yellow dead spots, the monkey grass I planted at the first of summer, turned brown. Now my yard is dead, sides are all brown and dead, the crab grass has taken over were the sod was, the weeds are my grass now. I called and told them I was not satisfied with their service, and was not going to pay the last service call. They sent a supervisor out, I think, he did not introduce himself, we walked my property, I showed him my dead lawn. As we looked at the mounds of crab grass and weeds, he wanted me to lower my expectations???? I typically do not pay for someone to kill all my grass, and encourage weeds to take over. I understand there will be some weeds, however when you find yourself cutting the grass every day due to weeds grow faster!!!! I will not even address the ants. Just encourage anyone NOT to ask for this treatment. Bill number 5, Lawn Dr. offers yet another service for worms, probably a hefty fee. I am not sure what their SERVICE would cover, except they were very good at killing all my grass, and replacing it with crab grass, ants, and dead everything else. Bottom line, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, that is if you want grass in ur yard. If by chance you enjoy brownish yellow dead grass, weeds, and bugs, then this company is for you. read more

I canceled my service due to selling my house and moving. However, I had their team spray for fire ants (guaranteed for one year) and mole crickets (guaranteed for six months). The fire ants have returned, and I would requested they come back out and spray again before the end of the month. The response I received: Unfortunately, we cannot perform the retreatment of that service. We can only perform that retreat if your account is currently active with Lawn Doctor. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out by phone or email. The Lawn Doctor team has taken care of my new lawn since e installed sod last spring. They kept the weeds under control even though we didn't start the program until late spring. Throughout the year, they have actually taught me a lot about lawn Care and kept me up to date on the status of our lawn and recommendations to ensure that it stays green and free of pests and weeds. PSA: Our recommendation is to not give Lawn Doctor your business. They hooked us on monthly payments with promises of a "greener/fuller" lawn and proceeded to turn it into a desert. What they don't say is that their treatments to eliminate weeds also kill the weed grass like centipede. As the effects of their treatments were clear from the start, they initially claimed the grass dying as unrelated to them and described it as a "fungus" (that just so happened to be in our yard and none of the neighbors). They then were quick to recommend additional treatment plans for hundreds of dollars. End result: we had to sod much of our yard that they killed and were offered no refund. read more

Lawn Doctor of Summerville, SC service did nothing for my yard. When they come, they do not treat the entire yard-just haphazardly spread the product. I asked they they not treat my back yard but caught them twice going to the back. When I did request that they do the back yard on a one time basis, they did not/forgot. I had taken my dog offsite because of his environmental allergies but came home to see nothing had been done. Very disappointing. I cancelled the service late April but was billed for May. Obviously they have issues with communication. The person I spoke with said she would cancel but obviously did not. There are many better lawn services out there. Buyer Beware! I know many are searching for options of lawn treatment. Please read the following before considering using Lawn Doctor. I only used them because they had done an amazing job on a neighbor's yard. I have since found out they also cancelled them because the service had gotten so bad. I know a couple have had a positive experience with Lawn Doctor and I'm glad for you; we were not so fortunate. This was part of my back lawn right before they started treating. As you can see, a few minor issues to treat and some dark spots from pet going potty. However, overall, in decent shape. By their tech's own admission, after seeing spray patterns, they sprayed far too much herbicide. They killed my entire back yard it is now mud and weeds. Along with the extensive amount of money we spent with them, for bed and lawn treatments, we will have spent another $3000 to repair the damage because lawn has to be scraped and new dirt brought in, before sod can be put down because they fertilized the nutsedge and it took over. I gave them every opportunity to rectify and all the man did was lie to us, blame it on a many different implausible things, contradict his own statements and not back the guarantee he gave us to fix it this spring, if it did not come back. Lawn Doctor started out very good. We received a great service when a guy named Rick did our yard. He left the company and our service went down the drain. New people spayed our yard all year and when spring came out side yard was dirt and weed. They took care of us then and then killed our Japanese Maple by something these new guys sprayed. Over night 2 days after they sprayed, the leaves went from a brilliant red to dried up and crumbled, Jack (the manager) came out to look at it (tree wasn't dead yet) and was going to get back with us the next day. Didn't happen and haven't heard from anyone since, since then the whole tree has died. read more

Terrible service, I highly suggest you don't use lawn Doctor's of Charleston SC. Use them for little over a year starting back in 2020. I too had lots of weeds and some dirt spots. They started out fine the spots filled in and the weeds went away but as soon as winter came and went the grass spots and weeds came back, The dirt spots were even worse than before. I told them I wanted to get a more thick and firm grass which holds in place in the winter months even though the grass is dormant. They also always kept pushing for extra service's which is a sign of money seekers, getting you hooked but your always chasing that great yard. When I called and complained with Cyrstal and the Mt. Pleasant office she acted as if they would do anything to get me back... But it was too late they had not kept up main on the maintenance yard. They wouldn't even wave the last service which I couldn't believe. Any ways I'm going to try a guy in my Neighborhood see if he can help me. Of course my yard was rapidly being taken over by weeds, so much so that we needed help. After we have tried True Green in the past, we decided to give this one a try. Everything seemed to start out great, and then it happened. More than half of my front lawn in now dead and bare spots where it used to be Centepede grass. I realize we had weeds, but when you pull this grass out, is it all dead. We are so very upset, and texted the guy who takes care of us today, needless to say, no response. We are done. I gave them one star because there is no way to rate them with less then one! During the period they were treating my lawn, I had them come due to a brown spot I noticed. The inept tech diagnosed the problem as a mold and he treated the lawn for that. The issue was in fact sod worms. The route manager came and candidly admitted that the lawn was not treated correctly. He thought the lawn would recover, but told me, numerous times, that if did not they would re-sod. He asked me to wait through the winter. When last Spring came and it was obvious the lawn would not recover, the supervisor agreed that they would re-sod. He later called me to say that the owner would not honor the promise he had made. The owner was only willing to install grass plugs and we would have to wait for the plugs to fill in the lawn. Now, months later, the plugs have not spread and the lawn obviously needs to be re-sodded. I will have to do that at my own expense. Lawn Doctor's corporate office was no help, stating they do not get involved in franchise disputes. Thanks Lawn Doctor! Don't use them! read more
