I cancelled service several months ago, but they continued to debit my account. When I called to question the charges the rep told me that they had no record of my calling to cancel even though I called multiple times to confirm the process and costs of ownership transfer and cancellation. I have records of calling but the rep was not interested in them as THEY didn't have any records of my calls. It's a shame too, because I loved their pest control service and response times. Goes to show how a single transaction can sour a business relationship. 1 star for customer service and 5 stars for actual pest control for an average of three stars. Bummer. read more

So I kinda defaulted into clarks because when I bought my home, we had a requirement that the home have a termite bond because of some minor termite damage in the garage that had been previously treated and fixed. For the first year, I didn't think anything about it. After 3 years in we've had them come back once a year to renew the bond. It costs about $250 when they come which I thought was a little crazy at first, but mainly because I've never had a termite bond before, not do I exactly know what they're doing when they're here. A couple visits ago, the guy was here for just a short time and then on his way. I wondered what I was paying for. I just knew that if I let it expire, it costs a lot more to put it in place again. This time around, the tech (Michel Middleton) was super nice. He offered more information about what he found (or didn't find) and whether traps needed to be re-baited or not. It was definitely a much better experience and he gave me confidence that the job was being done right. It's like an insurance policy in the fact that you hope you never have to use it. If that's the case then they're doing a good job. read more

DO NOT USE. Unless you like paying for services you don't get, these people are crooks. It started out fine, I selected them when I purchased a house because the previous owners used Clark's. They let me pick up the remainder of their contract at a discount. On the paperwork they sent me, it said that they would notify me when the service was about to expire to renew the contract. That never happened. About a year and a half later, I put my house on the market and contacted Clark's to let them know I needed to go month by month instead of paying for the full year because I would be moving. They did this and I was paying a little over $100 a month for a few months. When I sold my house and called to cancel, that's where the problems started. I was told I owe the remainder of the contract, $428.20. I explained that appeared to be an error because I changed to month to month and was told that it was not. I asked why I would pay for service I'm not going to use and I was told that they did the service at the beginning of the year and I owe the full yearly rate. Never mind the fact that I was paying for a termite bond, so there were several months of coverage I wouldn't use and a few visits they wouldn't have to make. When I told them I wouldn't pay for it they immediately threatened me with collections. I was told a manager would call me and they never did. I ended up paying it because consumers are generally powerless in these disputes for protecting their credit, Clark's knows this. I'm not sure this is even legal, generally businesses are required to prorate contracts on early cancellation for services not used. I'm going to refer to the SC attorney general. Furthermore, they double dip. They told me they would try and contact the new owners when I move to have them take over the contract. For which, I would get nothing back and Clark's will double dip. This company and their practices are shameful, and are legally sketchy. Avoid at all costs. read more

I have had Clark's (first I believe it was called AAA) since we moved here 5 years ago. We had a visit today from Samantha who is still here and I just wanted to say she is fantastic! She has been our provider for a while now and is always top notch. Samantha is very accommodating, thorough, and her customer service is top notch! The customer service seems to be natural for her as she is a very nice person. We had payment issues due to the change-over from AAA which was a challenge however due to the excellent service provided from Samantha we jumped through some hurdles to resolve! Have been using Clark's for more than 6 years. New termite treatment was explained so well by the technician. He even explained the behavior of termites and even the Palmetto bug for this northerner! I recommend them also for squirrel control. They do it very humanely by making sure the squirrel leaves and then they seal the area! read more

I never write these reviews but I needed to share this one: I called Clark's for a termite inspection a week ago and setup an appointment. I take a day of vacation to ensure I am available. A 3 hour window is provided and all seemed good. After 4 hours with a no-show, I contact customer service and they tell me there has been a 'mix-up' but they can reschedule me .... in another week. So I have to take another day of vacation to account for their mistake ?? I do not have unlimited vacation days to waste so I asked to speak with a manager and Customer Service said they set that up so I asked when will they call me .... in two to three days. No thanks !!! I have always believed that a company's customer service is a great indicator of the level of expertise you should expect and based on my experience - HARD PASS on Clark's !!! read more

In January 2022 Clark's was acquired by Anticimex. BEWARE, it appears as if this new company is looking to cut costs and reduce the quality care Clark's was once known for. Here's my story. In the summer of 2021 we discovered a termite problem in our 7 year old home. It was isolated to a window where there was a construction defect (thank you Crescent Builders) in the drip edge installation over the window. Water intrusion, no doubt, contributed to the termite infestation (airborne termites according to Clark's) Crescent would not honor their work, but to my delight, Clark's came in and repaired the damage. We have had the termite bond with Clark's since we purchased the home in 2015. Fast forward to October 2022. Termite problem re-appears in the same location. The repair Clark's made failed as well, due again, to faulty construction of THAT SAME drip edge. Once again, we called Clark's and they came out, in short order, but this time, not only do they claim they should not have done the original repair, but it appears (because I have yet to receive a promised call back from Stephanie from a month ago) THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR REPAIR WORK!!! I can not tell you how disappointed we are in this new attitude Clark's has adopted. It is just sad that a once reputable company like Clark's has succumbed to the apparent greed and cost cutting attitude of its acquiring company. I hope this post motivates SOMEONE at Clark's to call us back and explain why they refuse to honor their work. We are owed at least that. And yes, I have called the main line to ask why I have not yet received a call to no avail. Stephanie said she would call me the next day after she spoke to her supervisor. What do I have to do to get you guys to answer your phone, or respond to an email? I have tried to call/get an appointment for 2 weeks now about termites in my house. I HAVE A NEW HOUSE AND A BOND WITH YOU! Trying to call your business is a waste of time. You never answer. All calls go to voicemail. You dont respond. The "one" time I got someone to pick up the phone it was someone in a call center who had zero information for me and could only schedule an appointment! I finally get an appointment for today between 3-5pm. You tech shows up at my house before 2PM and leaves a note on my door to call the office and start this all over again. What the are you guys doing????? I'll be joining the rest of my neighbors in firing you, and using a different company due to this complete disaster of customer service!
