Very minimal needs, and just wanted some help weeding and mowing consistently. Dan stoped by and walked my property with me, and gave a lot of other suggestions about how to set up my drip lines or plant flowers or help my lawn get greener. He seemed to know what he was talking about! I said that perhaps long term I would be interested, but overall I wanted him to focus on just the weeding in my rock beds and my lawn. All I really wanted was my weeds to be gone. I also went and purchased flowers for the season, that my friend and I were going to plant after Mother's Day. And Dan said he could just get them in the ground for me, since he was there anyway. I then went on vacation for 4 days. He was supposed to be WELL done with those minimal projects by the time I returned. However, I returned, to what was nothing short of a disaster. He had (pictures attached): - Ripped all of my drip lines out of the ground - Thatched my grass into an oblivion without giving it water or nutrients after - Used the DEAD grass to fill in massive holes in my lawn from where he "weeded" - Did not weed my rock beds at all - Pulled all of my existing plants out of the ground, and let them die. Then replanted dead plants around my property. - Let the new flowers I bought die on the side of my house, potting them in mulch and clay - Removed the metal edging from my lawn and stole rocks my my neighbors properties to line the lawn with - Decided to bring broken drawers he had spray painted to put plants in above ground planters that were super ugly and nothing I had asked for It was awful. He did not charge me. But it was one of my worst experiences as a home owner. I spent grueling hours with my neighbors, had to buy all new bushes/flowers, and have spent all summer attempting to get my lawn back to life and property to be presentable. Finding a new company to help was hard because most people were booked up, but I did eventually find one and everything is coming together. So, a few weeks later, I reached out again - no reply. Same thing a few weeks later. It's a shame - seems like they do good work and we would have liked to work with them. Edit: The business replied with totally inaccurate information. I put out a call for weeding. The next day, I got a "quote" of $65/hour so I said it sounded great and would be happy to have them come look at the scope and start work. No reply. About 18 days later, I asked if they were still interested in doing the job. No reply. So if this is how they tell you they've decided not to work with you, it's not an awesome communication method. This has been the most disappointing and frustrating experience interacting with a contractor, in…read moremy entire life. I definitely do not recommend. I was referred to Daysi, of Leaves, and contacted her by phone call, initially on Saturday 4/12. She texted me that she'd call me back, I waited, then she never did. Then she asked for my address, via text, without any phone call, consult, or explanation, such that I had no idea what she was going to do with my address. Was she scheduling an in-person walk-through? Was she looking up the size of my backyard, using publicly available information, to approximate the size of my backyard lawn to mow? I truly had no idea, given her poor communication. She also never told me her name, initially, forcing me to do all the work in our communication / endless text chat, which I found unbelievably exhausting. The only reason I stayed the course with her, was because she was recommended by a contractor who I highly trust. I continued waiting, patiently, for her to get her act together, then followed up with her, again, on Friday 5/2, given she'd read my texts, then fail to reply, so - yet again - I did her job for her, and asked her her working days/hours, to facilitate a better response from her. She never replied, or answered this question - directly. It started to become abundantly clear she was never going to call me. I returned back to the contractor who I highly trust, and asked him if he could move things forward with her. He did. 3.5-weeks later, we finally scheduled an in-person walk-through for my grass/lawn mowing, and side yard estimate, for Tue 5/6 at noon. Then it rained that day, and she asked about canceling. I have multiple medical issues, so I didn't want to delay any further. I said, I was still up to meet in the rain, if she was, and I politely offered her an umbrella. We discussed my grass mowing, she told me to name the price - which was also surprising & strange, so I asked my boss for his business case / pricing - then shared it with her, to modify for the size of my yard, which she did, and it was a fair price. She told me she'd send me an estimate, with options, for the side yard. I was expecting a normal estimate, I receive, from my normal contractors. An emailed PDF, with options, like I receive from my HVAC, electrician, plumber, for me to consider, then select, then sign, then schedule, then move forward. What I got instead was an incessant, inefficient, random, inconsistent, stream of texts, in a totally disorganized manner, with multiple photos of unlabeled plants, so of which were not according to my request, or even right for the side yard, per our discussion, and my requirements. Worse? We finally scheduled the lawn aeration, fertilizing, re-seeding, and grass mowing for tomorrow, Fri 5/16, from 8-10am, such that I take off work this entire week, to get a ton of home infrastructure projects completed, including this initial lawn mowing, given I don't trust her, so I want to be focused for the first time. I text her to confirm on Monday 5/12, she reads my texts all week - never responding, then less than 12-hours before our scheduled appointment, she comes up with a lie, that allegedly her equipment won't fit through my gate, when she saw both the gate and knows her equipment during our in-person walk-through over 1-week ago. Something is suspicious, and not adding up. If you want to waste 1-month & 3-days, being disrespected - to your face, and having all your free time wasted, contact this "business". She also never listened to me about requesting rock for the side yard, instead of mulch, or answered my questions about pruning the bushes she recommended, and she only gave me two options, none of which were what we discussed in-person, or what I wanted. This was a truly terrible experience, and one of the most unprofessional experiences with someone alleging to be a business, in my entire life, with time I don't have.

Cory had taken care of my lawn for a couple of years during an annual vacation where I only needed…read moremowing for 3-4 weeks. I thought he did good work and was priced fairly, he was also pleasant to communicate with via text message. This past June however, he was scheduled to take care of my lawn, as he did in the previous years, but was a no-show. I text him about the absence and he blamed a new hire and promised he would take care of it first thing Monday. Monday rolls around and nothing. Several text messages later and still nothing. I had to pay my house-sitters to mow, which wasn't something they signed up for but were willing to help with. They were not the most suited for the task, but what can you do. Disappointed. Hope he's alright, will definitely update my review if there is a legitimate reason for the lack of response.
