When I spoke with Mary to sign up services, she told me someone would not be out to our property for 4 weeks because we had just had our yard treated from our other company and didn't want the lawn to have too much herbicide. Great. 1 week later I receive a call from them saying they would be out to treat my yard. I was a bit shocked because of my prior conversation. So I immediately called them back and to tell them. I didn't leave a VM because my kids were at each others throats so I just thought "I'll call them back again". And motherhood got the best of me, I spaced. The next morning the lawn guy shows up to my house which by the way was not the friendliest but no big deal, didn't think much of it. I told him that my other company had just come out to spray and the lady I spoke with told me it would be a few weeks. This man then goes and tells his company that I told him that I had another company that I was going with and didn't want their services, when I NEVER SAID THAT.... Then they called me and canceled services because I "made their guy drive to Syracuse to spray and declined it" I have a voice mail from Terry saying "we are in the area spraying and we will be by tomorrow" Jackie was a real gem on the phone with her attitude asking me why I let their lawn company drive all the way to Syracuse to spray. Completing contradicting Terry's voice mail the day prior. I have NEVER experienced customer service this terrible it was the most shocking thing. Please do not hire this company unless you want to work with ladies that contradict themselves, and are condescending on the phone.

I needed to get my front flowerbed replaced. The soil was full of crabgrass and the blocks were…read moreshifting. It had been neglected for years. The job was done very well. Great eye for detail. Claudio made sure everything was clean, straight and nicely finished. It was exactly what I wanted and could have hoped for. Nothing was overlooked and no corners were cut at all. It gave me the impression that he was doing the job as if he was doing it for his grandmother and wanted to be proud of the final product. The only reason that it's not 5 stars is because scheduling was hard to predict. I didn't really know when the job was going to happen. It made me nervous and gave me unneeded stress. My wife wanted me to cancel and try someone else. In the end, I'm glad that Claudio and his crew were the ones I stuck with.

What I cannot accept is being threatened with a lien on my home over $250, and then being personally harassed by the business owner when I shared my honest experience. I stand by my review. Reviews exist so customers can share their experiences, good or bad, without being intimidated into silence. For me, this stopped being about a sprinkler bill a long time ago -- it's about how a company chooses to treat people. And the way Yard Masters chose to treat me was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable.

My past experience show that performance, skill, commitment, craftsmanship, responsibility, trust, transparency vary widely among roofing companies and contractors. I hired 6 total roofers in Ogden, Utah and 4/6 didn't show up. One particular contractor repaired the roof with several flaws and never returned my emails or calls. Tim was the 6th contractor I called and I'm super glad I found him. I truly appreciate great business people that you can trust.
