My husband and I recently purchased a home that needed a major exterior facelift. LawnCare by Walter left a brochure on our door, so we decided to contact them. Because of the wonderful service we received right off the bat, we decided that they would be the first and only company we would contact for our retaining walls, fire pit, and yard regrading and seeding. Logan was our go-to guy from start to finish. He was communicative, thorough, and knowledgeable and helped us visualize the plan with an initial drawing. Manny and his crew took it from there and brought our vision to life. While working on our property, the crew was always professional and courteous. Each day before they left, our yard was cleaned up and debris was blown away, which I really appreciated. Communication was just the right amount; they asked us any questions they had & kept us in the loop on which days they would be at our property. Our project was completed in the estimated timeframe, which we also really appreciated. The final product is everything we could have hoped for. I am looking through reviews because I'm considering changing lawn care companies. I might have gone back to Walter but they burned that bridge. Interestingly, they have the lowest ratings of any other company I've looked at here. That is a fact that cannot be argued. In my opinion, they have earned their poor reviews. I hope everyone reads this. Lawn Care by Walter has terrible reviews. They give the same tired old response assuming we read every bit of each piece of mail we get. And the fact is, they only agreed to not charge me for an unwanted service after I accused them of trespassing. If an employee of mine treated my exiting customers the way they do I would fire that employee on the spot. I would think their junk reviews would be enough to wake them up. I wish them well but I do hope they change their business model to not bully people who leave them. Creating a situation that alienates customers to this extreme is a stupid business tactic. And to say "We are sorry you feel that way ..." for a situation that they created is ridiculous.The bottom line is they can run their business the way they want. So, read the reviews, be careful who you do business with and stand your ground, legally if necessary, if you know you're right. read more

Spring is here, and I am having the same weed issue issue and dead patches in my lawn. Plus a new weed never seen before. We have used Lawn Care for over 20 yrs. The last 3 of these years have been challenging. I have called several times about the weeds and actually felt like I was bothering them. Last year they came and killed the weeds and actually burned the lawn so bad we can not get grass to grow. We always have prepaid for services and will finish this year. Done with them after this season ! read more

Not happy at all. I'm still waiting for the first treatment. I called the week before last and they said they would be out last week. No one showed up. I always end up spraying the weeds myself, even after they have treated for them. I will not be a customer next year and if I can cancel and get my money back this year, I will. read more

I gave them the benefit of the doubt but ultimately, I have weeds growing everywhere and when they come, they're here all of 10 minutes.

Let me add my comments to the other one star reviews. Used Walter in 2021. Decided to switch to TruGreen in 2022. Imagine my surprise when Walter treated my lawn two weeks after TruGreen. Called them to let them know they made a mistake, and they said they sent a notice in March 2021-over a year ago-that included the statement that they will auto-renew unless we call THEM. I don't know about everyone else, but I am inundated with advertisements from lawn companies year round, and unless I'm in the market, they go straight into the garbage with all the others. And the ones I do use call to ask if we want to renew. THE VERY DAY THEY TREATED MY LAWN I GOT A 'LETTER' FROM THEM ASKING IF I WANTED TO SIGN UP FOR SERVICE! So, I am supposed to read and remember the details of one from a year ago, but this one is junk mail? Total rip-off, and I'm out $60. Do NOT use these people. I'm sure they profit by people either not reading their junkman, or forgetting what something said over a year ago, with no follow up by them. Typical American business rip off. read more

I think they need to spend less $ on advertising and more $ on employees. They've showed up once in two months and that was after multiple calls. However, they are quick to send a letter stating you're under contract until you cancel. read more
