I had gotten 2 quotes for what I felt was the same job seeing that they were the same amount of money I went with woodchuck because there guy who came out to the house was very friendly I was expecting 6 trees to be cut down I only got 2 trees down they are expecting me to pay full amount even though work is less then half done DO NOT USE !!!!!!!!! My husband had a man come out and give a quote for 2 trees. We agreed on several dates and they never showed or called us. We went back and forth 5 weeks before we finally moved on. Today 2 weeks from the last time we spoke they showed up out of the blue with no notice to cut the trees down. It's raining and it was 1pm in the afternoon. Are you kidding me? The trees are gone and someone else got paid. They need better communication and responsibility towards their clients. I will never call these people again. read more

Very punctual to do the bid but not the work. Had to contact three times to ask when they were coming. Showed up and did a great job when asked to remove a tree, stump and foliage for tree in front yard. Also had a tree in the in backyard cut down and asked to take foliage but leave wood. My yard was tore up, lots of ruts and deep divets from the falling trees. They did not even try to clean anything up or fix the yard. They agreed to cut the trees in 16-18 inch pieces but was left with chunks of wood that were unmanageable., They did come out again after I called them and the cut it up more but left a huge mess. They showed no pride in workmanship or that they cared about the customers property. Would not recommend this company. read more

Woodchuck Tree Service did a great job or removing our extra 40 plus huge trees. The brush and stumps are gone and I have a huge pile of mulch. I love the mulch for gardening. You can keep or have the mulch removed. P.S. Nice Family business. read more

I've got hundreds of dollars in damage from their snow plow guys, who took out a chunk of my yard (after mowing the snow pole, yard boundary indicator stick, over). Went the other way, and bowled over three 34" long, 31" tall (so very visible over the snow) to look like a derailed train. Owner says "things happen" "your drive is tight" (double garage), and offers to build some 'cradle' for the planters (they are made with parts that only fit them- and I don't want fly-by-night rigged thing). NO apology. No offer to compensate for damages (he says he saw a photo, but if he's worth anything as a business owner, he should see for himself what HIS employees did to LOSE a customer). I've got photos. Only reason I haven't filed charges is that I don't want to see anybody from there again. read more

I got an estimate from Woodchuck Tree Service and hired them to cut down a tree. Owner said they would be out the next day. I waited all day and they did not show up. Talked to the owner of Woodchuck tree service later that day and he said he was sorry and they would sure be out the next day at 10:00am. Again I sat and waited all day and they did not show up. Woodchuck did a great job not only ripping out a big lilac bush in our front yard but a huge cotton wood tree in our backyard. They responded to our request very fast and got the jobs done in a timely matter as well. They hauled away all the brush and limbs so that we didn't have to do the work. They are the worst for delivering unseasoned fire wood. Called them this past summer the first time they said they'd bring a load this week...never showed or called. Called them back numerous times couldn't get through so left messages to return my call. Never returned my call. Two months went by I tried them again. He said, oh yeah I remember you wanted a load of wood. He said he'd bring it out next week. Never showed or called me back. Ok no more, I was done. So my husband accidentally dialed them when he was looking for fire wood. Got to talk to him again and he said, I have a great load of wood, you'll love this wood. So they finally brought it and stacked it nicely but the logs were black, full of dirt, heavy, wet, and wouldn't burn(smoked). Have to use other wood to light this terrible load.
