My friend William Ferber wanted to buy a bottle container from this store and because William cant' speak, he just had a stroke he kicked him out. Pulled into the parking space for a minute while I was grabbing change to fill up my water bottles . Then an older Asian man comes out of his store asking me what I'm doing there. I told him to get water and show him my 5, 5 gallon jugs. He tells me to hurry. WTF??? Why so rude? they don't own the parking lot. Never EVER coming here again! Went up the street on Prairie/147th to "Cruz Aqua Water & Ice,.", very welcoming nice people there. Plus they only charge 30 cents a gallon! Instead of the 50 cents this store charges with a side of rudeness Avoid Lawndale Water Store, they are rude and don't appreciate your business, plus they think they own the parking lot..... upon reading the other reviews left here, they might be racist, it all makes sense why the old Asian approached me. Good quality crisp hydrating water for a great price. He gives you a card which he checks off how many gallons and if you've earned enough you get a discount. I've spent tons of money at this place even though the owner isn't helpful whatsoever. He refuses to take the cap off water bottles and will not lift the filled bottles or lend you the cart. On January 16, 2022, I went to LAWNDALE WATER and purchased three reusable 5 gallon water bottles. Today, I went back and complained that the white screw on tops leak when I place them in my upright holder. I've been purchasing my alkaline water from here for a few years now. Alkaline Water is $2.00 a gallon and very darn worth every penny spent. After having this water, I can't drink other waters especially any bottled water. Taste quality is definitely noticed after you try other water. They also have a punch card that offers free water after an x amount of purchases. I'm so sad to say that I just recently moved away so I've tried a different water store and I'm quite disappointed. BEST WATER HANDS DOWN IN THE SOUTH BAY AT THE BEST PRICE. Where else can you get good quality water at .25 cents per gallon? Most other stores are 40-75 cents a gallon. They also have Ozone water and Alkaline water but I mainly go for the purified water. The owner and his wife are great people, so personable and friendly Koreans. They also sell various nik-naks here and you can even get your watch battery replaced. All in all you should be going here to get your Water because LA water is dirty and full of chlorine and fluoride both of which will cause cancers. read more

This is not a hit piece. This is 100% true and just happened... There are plenty of water stores around, no need to support a terrible terrible disrespectful and racist business. I was in the area at my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, Saigon Dish. As I was walking out of the plaza, I passed the Lawndale Water Store, noticing some interesting equipment and signage ("Alkaline""Ozonated"), I entered. A woman came out of the back, scowling, asked me "What you want?!" I told her I was passing by and wanted to look at what they had..She didn't seem to understand and asked me "Why why why why?" This went on and on, finally she said "Go look!" I went to look at some of the signs noting the benefits of each filtration system, the whole time she stood by the counter STARING at me. It was very uncomfortable, finally I went to leave. She stopped me as I was leaving and started to angrily and sarcastically ask me if I saw enough and again why I wanted to see "the machines", as she put it. I stepped through the threshold out to the curb, and she said "Get out!" It was so weird and inappropriate, I was shaking my head and looking back at the store as I walked away towards my car; someone noticed me, and said "Oh that lady is a racist monster, good luck with that place!" I love this place, The owner is awesome it's not just a place you get water it's more like great friends so nice, funny and clean area as well. They even offer rewards card depending on how many times you go for water then you get a 5 gallon free etc but this is my place to go for sure. read more

Kenny is really friendly and helpful. Although I haven't been to his store for awhile, He remembered me. He also noticed I lost weight. I will definitely try the alkaline water next time. He said it's good for my skin and health. Today was my second time in the store. Came in to support a local business and the gentleman running the store could not have been more helpful and kind. He explained to me how to clean my 5 gallon water bottles, and reminded me to put my mask on. When I pulled my bandanna over my face, he grabbed an extra medical mask and handed it to me with an extra set of gloves and said "these are better". I would suggest this place to anyone. I stopped by the Water Store tonight to get two, five gallon bottles refilled with purified water for the office because I didn't estimate our last Ready Refresh delivery properly. I was a little apprehensive walking in due to all of the BRUTAL reviews that I had read here. Let me tell you though, I didn't catch the young guy's name that helped me but boy was he GREAT (needless to say he wasn't the owner)! I was clueless walking in which he must have sensed so he jumped right up with a friendly smile and showed my wife and I how the system worked. When the bottles were full and after we figured out that our caps were the one use only type, he was kind enough to provide us with new caps that worked well enough for us to get the bottles delivered back to the office without spilling a drop. We filled two bottles of great tasting water for $3.50 (the Ready Refresh price is $6 per bottle plus $6 for delivery or $18 total), had SUPER great / friendly service and were in and out in a flash. Tomorrow morning I am canceling the delivery service and will now be a frequent visitor to this very fine establishment. read more
