She asked for my help in assigning spaces. She kept exclaiming "I don't know what I'm doing!" At one point she ran extension cords across the sidewalk, and I stated that might not be the wisest, as attendees could trip. I should have turned around then! Susan spent the rest of the weekend tending to here own booth, rather than effectively managing the event. They held the event in "Beautiful Cascade Park". It was an old dilapidated Amusement Park right out of Scooby-Doo! I kept waiting for the Mystery-Machine to pull up! Festival organizers claimed attendance at 4000, yet I'd estimate 400. Most artists and vendors pulled out early Saturday when they realized they'd been duped. I (having booked my hotel with Priceline - no refunds) decided to stick it out. Sunday was no better and I pulled out. Susan thanked me for not yelling at her like the rest of the disgruntled artists/vendors did. They are combining the event this year with Fireworks, so I'm certain that will help with attendance. Hopefully they have found a dedicated Show Manager as well!

It was such a lovely winery (that doesn't look like a winery) in a neighborhood area and such an at-home cabin-style feel to it. One of the gentleman there told us how he learned to make the wine that they sell which we purchased some there and to take home. It is very affordable ($20) and multiple tastes available. Really enjoyed our time, intimate place for a gathering and lovely staff.

We had a wonderful guided tour of the Hoyt West Mansion, which is fully furnished including period…read morepieces and artwork. Our tour guide was very informative and educational. Afterwards we self-toured the galleries which included lots of artwork, some displayed in a connected walkway between the two mansions, and the rest were located in the East mansion which has been converted into galleries, art studios, offices, and a gift shop. They also have a lot of Shenango China on display. It was a very nice experience. We really enjoyed the guided tour, it was our favorite part. Highly recommend a visit here.
