I was told there'd be at least a two-hour delay and that I might not be seen at all, with no prior notice, no concern, no apology--completely unprofessional and unacceptable treatment, especially for someone with serious health conditions. It was nearly a comedy of errors when trying to work out an appointment between his office and the VA, which I never experienced before. I finally got an opportunity to meet with him and he was totally removed from the encounter, lacking eye contact and warmth, showing little or no interest in my case or me other than a perfunctory attempt at patient interaction. After that encounter I thought about it and decided to cancel my appointment with him. When I did go to the office to retrieve my authorization letter, he was there and had his head buried in his phone while I attempted to explain why I canceled.
