He called back 20 minutes before the appointment and said he was having sudden back issues and wanted to reschedule if possible. At that point he should have just had someone else from the company do the measurements and keep the appointment. We will be going with another company. Customer service was definitely lacking.

This leaked behind our fridge and into our wood floors for weeks before the water level was high enough to puddle. We had a specific wood type that we were hoping to replicate. Thankfully Unique Wood Floors carried that same wood type. After my initial call, their project manager Jim contacted us to schedule a visit. We had our estimate less than a day after our visit. We stopped by their showroom in St. Paul and spoke with Michael who helped us view the flooring we were interested in. We placed our order for our flooring. Within a few weeks we were contacted for our installation. Our installer was named Al. More like super Al! Al tore out our old flooring which looked to be a very tough job. He then installed our new floor. As Al was wrapping up, first he swept the floor, then he was back down on his hand and knees with a towel wiping our floor clean. Wow. Talk about commitment. We were also impressed that Jim stopped out to check on the progress, then again after the install was completed to make sure everything looked good. Not only did it look good, we felt it looked great! I have to admit, I am very particular about how things look and our floor really looks great. Thank you to the team at Unique Wood Floors who made this whole process very impressive.

Unfortunately, during his effort, he…read morechipped the top part of the glass and failed to tighten the screws adequately, which resulted in the door needing continual adjustment. The door also did not seal properly with the bottom of the shower and leaked excessively. Sadly, the shower curtain we used from the dollar store in the interim worked better than the substandard work of Jay from Ryan and Gordy's. Over the past six months, we received two promises that the necessary parts were on order, one visit that resulted in a commitment to order more parts, and two no-call no, no-show appointments. We found these guys through our contractor, and we foolishly paid them before they completed the repairs, believing they would stand by the work. They did not. Although their scores are reasonably high overall, please read the reviews carefully as they have many weak scores, most of which revolve around shower door installation. I suspect Jay's brand of substandard effort is commonplace at this company. I cannot caution people enough to avoid these guys--they simply provide terrible service.

We also ordered a custom master king size bed where we were able to choose every detail and she helped us every step of the way. It's gorgeous!! Everything turned out perfectly. We looked at a few of Carpet One's remnants, thanked our salesperson, Tracy Rokosz, and began to walk out. Tracy casually mentioned that she might have something that would fit our needs.
