I saw Dr. Lashkari on Monday afternoon to check out one of my toes. He and the staff were friendly,…read moreand he seemed pragmatic and informative with diagnosing and then determining treatment as necessary. He took a sample of the toenail for testing (fungal, mold, yeast, or injury) and said the results should come back by Wednesday. I didn't hear back from him on Wednesday so I called the office on Thursday and left a message. I called back later in the afternoon and spoke to the front desk staff and was told my test results were in, but they couldn't review the results with me (the doctor had to do that) and he is only in-office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I missed the doctor's call on Friday before 1pm (he left a voicemail indicating I should call back to review the results and next steps) and called back 20 minutes later only to be taken to the voicemail again. I tried calling again at 1:30pm a couple of times and eventually got through to the front office. This time they were willing to give me the results (why now?), but the doctor was no longer in the office and they wouldn't have him contact me. They said they would let him know on Monday that I had called and hopefully he'd get back to me then. Monday is a holiday, so I'm definitely not confident that I'll get results back without having to seek them myself.

My review is years overdue. I saw Dr. Park in Torrance in 2017. At that time, I had been in a great…read moredeal of foot pain for the past year. I couldn't walk very far and the pain was negatively affecting daily life. I had already had surgery on my right foot for calcium deposits a few years earlier (by another doctor) when I went to my initial consultation with Dr. Park. My expectation was that he would take x-rays, hear my history, and together we would agree to make plans for surgery. In fact, I asked for surgery within minutes of our appointment. Xrays revealed that I had bone spurs AND plantar fasciitis. Surgery seemed like a no brainer. But NO! Instead, he asked if I could be off my feet for a few weeks to allow my foot to heal. Of course not- I have small children. So we went back and forth and he counseled me on adopting an entire protocol which, to be honest, I was not interested in. If I wanted to see him a second time, I had to agree to do all the things that he advised. He laid out a very boring plan that would help me in the long run and without surgery. We sparred during that initial consultation and I questioned his bedside manner and my combative spirit as a patient. He put my foot in a brace and warned that my recovery with rehab would take some time. I left his office vowing to not return. A week later, I looked at the papers he gave me and started the exercises, the cold water bottle treatments, and threw out my bad shoes. It took about five months...but it worked. The pain is completely gone. Today I run, jump, and have lost 27 pounds. The best way to acknowledge him as an effective podiatrist is to publicly thank him for setting me straight two years ago. If you need an honest assessment and a plan that WORKS, he's your guy.

Dr. Farrah came in touched my feet said I have active arthritis in both of my feet & then handed me a paper with my diagnosis. Had me wait to go in another room to get my feet scanned for arch support. That took all of 2 minutes. It is now 3:00 & I'm just leaving his office. I did not see the doctor all of 6 minutes. The first podiatrist was awesome and compassionate but, unfortunately he left the practice and my mom's insurance was not compatible towards the other location. The second podiatrist at this location just was not a good fit for my mom. Third one was the charm! Dr. Darragh has the best bedside manner one can ask for in a physician. He is thorough and provided options for my mom's issue. She is better now and comes in for quarterly maintenance. He is such a kind and caring podiatrist. His nurse, Tania is also great. She is super efficient , positive, and smiling. She always remembers my mom and I. Depending on who is working at the front office, it can be a no-nonsense operation especially when the doctor is running behind due to an emergency or something. Other times, the front office is easy going, efficient, and kind. They do a great job with the text or phone call appt reminders. They do have a smaller office in Redondo Beach but, this is a better location for us as there are plenty of disability parking spaces in the front of the building. I went to my local urgent care and had 2 X-rays taken of my right foot and they showed the broken bone. The urgent care doctor sent me a referral notice to Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute in Torrance Ca. I called the Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute and talked to some woman in the front office. I told her that the urgent care doctor referred me to her office and he sent her office a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information. She told me that she Did Not receive any information about me. I asked her to set me up with an appointment with a doctor. She told me that she scheduled me to see Dr. Alexander Perez at 11:30am the next day. 2 hours later I received a phone call from this same woman in the front office, she told me that Dr. Alexander Perez didn't deal with my type of injury. She then told me that she scheduled me to see Doctor Chul Kim at 11:00am the next day. She apologized for setting me up with the wrong doctor the first time. Then she told me that she found the copy of the X-ray and all my personal information that the urgent care doctor sent to her office. I showed up for my appointment and talked to one of the women at the front desk. I explained to her that I had an appointment with doctor chul Kim at 11am and that she should have a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information in her office. She looked on the computer, then talked to a couple of her co-workers at the desk and told me that she has NO information about me. She gave me 3 papers and asked me to fill in all my personal information in the form. I complained to her that she should have had all of this information. She asked me to sit down and fill out the forms. After dealing with the Idiots at the front desk, I was finally able to see Doctor Kim. Doctor Kim took a quick look at my foot (He never touched my foot) and told me that he was going to go check out my foot X-ray. I told Doctor Kim that his office staff told me that they had NO X-ray, He told me that he has my foot X-ray in his office. He walked out. While he was out looking at the X-ray, I saw 2 little bugs walking across the floor. I told one of the women staff members about the 2 bugs and she said "Where Did You See The Bugs"? I told her that they are under a table in the corner. She said "I'll Kill Them Later". I got up and limped over to the table and pulled it out away from the wall and she walked over and Stepped On Them Both. She acted like it was no big deal. She left and Doctor Kim came in and said "I looked at your x-ray and I have decided to let your body heal it". He said he could do surgery but that would do more damage to my foot. He told me that he wanted me to come back in 2 weeks so he could take another X-ray of my foot to see how it's healing. I Would Never Recommend This Facility! This is the most Unprofessional & Unorganized office staff that I have ever dealt with. I saw Dr. Kim and he seemed to know what he was talking about but was in a hurry. My primary doctor told me that Dr. Kim is a good provider.
