    Peach lemonade

I found this place on Yelp while driving to Georgia and made a quick stop for some dessert. It was pretty easy to get it. I came on a Sunday hoping they had their Peach Tarts but they were unfortunately sold out. They only offer these Sundays so try to come on a Sunday. I ended up getting their popular Hot Peach Cobbler and a Peach Lemonade. The hot peach cobbler was so good. It was layered peach ice cream, warm peach cobbler and cream. It was the perfect sweetness and really made my day. The peach lemonade was also amazing. Best lemonade I ever had and I enjoyed the little pieces of peaches in it. It was well worth the calories. This place also offered different flavors of ice cream, pies, milk shacks, frozen peach pops, lemonades, root beer floats, sodas, pound cakes and some other items. They sell their teas by the gallon as well. They also sold house made soaps of all kinds. The people working there were nice. The food came out fast. I recommend if you are looking for dessert. I regret not getting more. They close up after labor day for awhile though because their items aren't in season. But a must try when they are.

Soft serve blueberry ice cream is good. So is the peach. Nothing special. Yes, I will be back. The ambiance is fantastic. Gonna buy me a t-shirt one of these days!

I've seen posts on social media about Hilltop but since we don't live in the vicinity it took us a while to make it over there. We've been missing out on one of the best hidden gems in the area. You are greeted by smiles from the owners upon entry. The store has several coolers and shelves of various snacks and beverages. They also offer deli items. But the BEST part of a visit to Hilltop is freshly made savory southern staples prepared to order. The menu is vast, as are their portions!! We had heard rave reviews about their Shrimp Po Boy and the Fried Green Tomatoes. We ordered those as well as a Chicken Philly Sandwich. Hand to God, the fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had. Even my husband who's indifferent to a FGT declared them the best and worthy of a trip back out to eat them again. That was high praise from a typical carnivore. The Po Boy was massive. I couldn't eat more than half. The "side" of FGT was enough for a meal. The chicken a Philly meat was minced so finely that every bite was a perfect blend of meat, cheese, and bread. While not a typical "restaurant", there is a charming covered outdoor patio with several picnic tables at which to dine, and kids toys to keep the young ones busy while you eat. Honestly, the only thing missing is a big fat recliner to take a nap in after you hit your carb coma. We were too full for a dessert, but the cake selection was beautiful and offered by the slice. The family owned ambiance is evident by the number of "regulars" that popped in while we were there. In a time where people are rushed and non conversational, Hilltop is like walking back in time to visit an old friend. It's 100% worth a drive out to Hilltop. Whether you eat in, or take your order to go, you'll definitely be eating good!

Mangia! Never would have expected to find such a great Italian deli here in Florida. Counter…read moreservice was so polite. Table delivery came as items were finished. Lasagna portions could definitely serve 2 for lunch. Garlic knots were some of the best I've had- you're going to want more than the 1 served with your entree. Flatbread pizza was tasty. Very thinly sliced eggplant for the parm: kudos! Breading was thin but held up nicely to the sauce. Sauce flavor is bright and tastes just crushed. Only observation is that a little bit of olive oil and garlic with extended cooking time would produce a deeper flavor but to each his own. We fo enjoyed our lunch: worth jumping off the highway.

I expected to walk into the scent of marinara, herbs and garlic wafting through the air but no real Italian restaurant vibe going on. Pasta is overcooked (soft). Marinara has no flavor and a little watery. Salad looked better than it tasted with blah olives fresh from a can where they were soaked in water. Lady at the counter wore the same pair of gloves doing numerous activities over the course of 45 minutes. Other employees sat around a table staring at their phones looking totally checked out while chairs were left out in the way, random leftover Napkins were on tables and dirty dishes stacked up at the return station. Not worth it.
