It's one of the worst services I had to deal with! My package made it to US from Europe in 6 days but they haven't moved it or updated it in almost 30 days after arriving! And it's like 40 min from where I live, I should drive there and demand to pick up my fracking package until it get lost or damaged, you cannot trust these people! The other reviews show you their level of competence... more like the lack of it !!!

Never had this issue ordering out of the states now all of a sudden my package is non existent. No updates nothing and it got to the LA facility within 3 days of me purchasing the item. LA customs is an absolute shit show. Just gimme my package

Uhhh.....I edited my previous review. These asshats sent my package all around los Angeles and it never even left the country, it's an international shipment. Very disappointed. Then they confirmed the package as delivered. Pretty pathetic service.

My packages was waiting for 5 freaking weeks in ISC from March 8-April 12 This is unacceptable.

I was supposed to receive a package of parts to be able to complete a project for a client of mine. The package was delayed from March 8 until April 12. Due to this, the project not only was delayed from completion, but also my client ended up losing a large sum of money that I ended up having to compensate them for. This type of service is unacceptable and needs serious improvement. These current delays cost people serious time and money that they cannot afford. This is also not the only situation of its kind. As you can take a look from the other yelp reviews this is a frequent issue that needs to be solved by ISC

My order from China came in two packages. They both got to LAX ISC on the 16th. I received one of them on the 22nd 8 days ago. The second one is still stuck there and it is now the 30th--14 days?? What takes 14 days?? So apparently once packages get there, it is a total random crapshoot which ones get through, and which ones get put into the back of the we will send it whenever line. I ordered a Nike Jacket from Malaysia on Oct. 14 and the last shipping update was that it was being shipped out to LAX ISC on Oct. 20th.. Yes Oct. 20. And since then there have been absolutely no shipping updates on it or anything. I know sometimes packages take a little bit longer to get here when shipping from foreign countries but not 4 months long.. Which leads me to think that my package has been sitting at ISC without any warning or sort of notification that it's there. How should I contact them about this? read more

I have been tracking and my package from Japan and it has been there for only four days (Since Jan. 31, 2016). I hope it will not take the same as some of the posters here. That is why I will use FEDEX and UPS next time. Those USPS employees can go and be laid-off. read more

NO DOUBT that this is the BLACK HOOOOOOOLE for international packages. PURGATORY they say!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I've been purchasing items from overseas for years and for some reason beginning this year they have all ended up in LA. I NEVER had to wait more that a few days at the MOST for packages to go through customs in New York which is where my packages used to end up prior January of this year. FORGET about calling to inquire because you'll NEVER get an answer. Is there ANYBODY on board this ship??? ANYONE??? ANYONE??? BUELLER??? BUELLER??? ANYONE??? I've been waiting for a package to be sent out for TWO WEEKS now...and it only took TWO DAYS TO GET FROM THE UK TO LA!!!!!! Now cut my legs off and call me shorty!!!!! If I could give minus stars I would! Black hole indeed! Have a package sitting here since the 19th with no freaking movement!! I signed up with my USPS which automatically adds tracking if my address is entered and this one package hasn't popped up meaning it hasn't even been entered in the system for delivery! My Package arrived on March 18th at this facility and it was a dress for a special event on March 26th, my package is still sitting at ISC Los Angeles i filed a complaint with USPS and they said basically they can't do anything they have to wait for customs to release it. i think once it's at this facility they should update and give an expected delivery time because we are now a month out from when i ordered my dress and i still don't have it. causing me to have to buy another dress for the event. Having no complaint department where we can talk to a direct person is ridiculous and inconsiderate of customers who pay extra to have items shipped faster and be held up in our own country. read more

Ditto to every complaint on this thread. I just tracked my long-awaited package from Hong Kong and was amazed to see that it reached the L.A. ISC just two days after being shipped from Asia. It has been sitting around there since March 20, 10 days now. From other reviews I see that it could take a month to reach me -- maybe more. This is unacceptable. Could this miserable service really be traceable to a shortage of drug-sniffing dogs? Give me a break. My poodle has a pretty good nose. Let me bring it over there and speed things up. read more

Every month I order "health & beauty items" from England and takes the usual route starting at Langley UK and ending up most of the time at ISC San Francisco USPS (Customs). Honestly I don't think ISC San Francisco even touches it. One time it literally bypassed customs and went straight to San Francisco Regional Distribution Center. I am not kidding unless it was an error in scanning but it arrived in 3 days from the UK so I assume it just totally bypassed customs. Recently my packages our being routed to ISC LOS ANGELES CA USPS (Customs). My last package arrived in LA Customs on January 18 and was missing in action up until February 1. I thought it was a goner up until I received a tracking update that my package arrived at San Francisco Regional Distribution Center. The thing is, there is no way to tell how long your item stays in customs since it's only scanned upon arrival in Customs and when it reaches your local Mail Distribution Center. They don't scan when items leave customs and when items leave regional distribution centers. They used to do this but recently I have noticed departure scans are no longer available in tracking when it reaches the destination Country, with the exception when departing from Langley UK. I'm still waiting on another package that was Processed Through Facility ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS) on January 29. So I assume it's still in customs or making its way up north to SF. It sucks now because it used to take only 5 or 6 days max before, now it seems to be taking more than 2 weeks. read more

My father is dying and my mother in law sent him something EXTREMELY important/valuable via registered mail (luckily she insured it) last Monday, April 10, and as soon as it was scanned in to the LAX post office our package has vanished. I cannot get an answer or speak to a live person to tell me what happened. I am absolutely livid and I will be filing anything and everything I can ASAP. USPS, you have an EXTREMELY expensive suit/claim headed your way. My father has literally days to live. Horrible. Arrived from China in 3 days. Sat in LA for 20 days and counting. Still has not moved at all. USPS tracking says it is going to be late. You think? No Stars would be a better rating. Also, the tracking says it is coming here then going back to Korea then back here... Come on, get it together. Next time I'll tell the seller to send anything (DHL, UPS, FedEx) but China Post to USPS. read more

My sister sent me some travel documents that EMS shipped out immediately to the. US but landed in this place called ISC Los Angeles. It has been there since Feb 9 and now its the 22nd. It's January 25. My epacket arrived at the sorting center on January 2 and is stuck in customs limbo here. I've placed this exact order before and it didn't take nearly as long. I called customer service and they said there's nothing I can do about it, not even file a complaint because of the type of service used. read more

My package made it there on the 11th of august and I haven't received it yet! They said that it may take up to 30-45days before they release it to be shipped. This shit is stupid!!! It's just some damn shoes. I ordered them on august 1st so they would be here in time as a birthday gift and now they are just sitting up there. Upon checking, the tracking information showed that it had been delivered, but to the wrong address-- a large box! The post office claimed they had retrieved the package and placed it in the "back" area, and my husband was told he could pick it up. When he arrived, the package was no longer there. Only certain employees have access to the "back room." One employee, named CHRISTIAN, told my husband to sign a receipt acknowledging the package had been received and promised it would be delivered the next day. My husband complied, but, of course, the package never arrived. Makes me question if Christian knows what happened to the package or took advantage of my Husband's anxious attempt to get his package to sign off any fault. This all happened on November 7th. Since then, we've been calling, visiting, and emailing everyone I could find in hopes of resolving the issue, but nothing has worked. The manager, Shanice Adams, did attempt to help, but in the end, there was no resolution. She issued a letter accepting fault, but I can never reach anyone for follow-up. At this point, we have no choice but to visit our local Post Office, but I am deeply disappointed in the service we've received in Inglewood. These kinds of issues highlight the broader geographical disparities and inequalities that certain areas suffer from, and unfortunately, our local Post Office seems to be the worst example of this. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I just want to get this resolved. Moreover, I am unable to file a claim online as the package was sent from Italy. My Mother-in-Law can't file a complaint because the package is marked as delivered.

I have empathy for employees who are tired and ready to clock out. But when this kind of behavior happens, it creates an unsafe environment for everyone. After working several government-level jobs, I also know that many employees stay in roles they don't enjoy because it's hard to leave (limited alternatives), and/or because union protections can make it difficult to hold people accountable--even when performance is not at the level it should be. I told the rep twice that the 31 page document needs to be printed on front and back, and she proceeds to print it out on one sheet, and then said "that option is not available" after the job was halfway done. She then charged me for 31 pages when that's not what was requested (it was supposed to be 15-16). I got off work early just to get there to send off a certified check that required a dated post mark and priority tracking. Nothing difficult, typically a 2-3 minute transaction and move on. So I went down the street to UPS store and had to pay a premium. Look, I'm not outta bounds here when I remind people that USPS isn't some independent retailer in our communities providing shipping services. They are a GOVERNMENT agency that should follow the basic rules of morals and ethics. At a minimum provide a "SERVICE" within there hours of operation!!! Is that too much to ask for? BTW i was only one of a half dozen customers being turned away and most of them let them know they were not thrilled about it!!! When I went in today to bring in a letter from USPS along with the evidence I had, a female employee began raising her voice as I explained the situation the manager was already aware of. She claimed no one would ever do that, and it must have "fallen off the box" and somehow landed on a random package and got sealed perfectly to it. Other customers were there and kept looking to see what was going on. I kept my voice at a normal level and it became a scene. Overall very disappointed in the worker and how she handled the situation in front of other customers. Moving forward I will only order packages with a signature required.

My package was posted on 05/13/2017 by usps and so far the trace shows that it is in this Processed Through Facility ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS) is nothing today is 05/24/2017 and my package did not arrive in Brazil yet, ISC of São Fracisco sends my packages the next day, and this is absurd, I think my package has been stolen. But I'm waiting for the usps update and I'm very sad about it. Finally my package arrived in Brazil, Today 07/07/2017 date almost 30 full days and went through the amphadee and is on the way to my local Post, I think probably next week is already for withdrawal in the post, it was the worst importation that I already did, and I went through this ISC of Los Angeles the good that I was not taxed and I hope the product is well packed too, I hope my packages now go through San Francisco a lot faster. read more

One full month, to date. Exactly 4 Thursdays, my package from overseas has been sitting there. March 23rd, 12:38 AM, my package arrived. I wondered why the seller said the estimated arrival date would be April 20th, when my parcel was on US soil 3 fucking days after purchase. Now these lazy bastards can't move a tiny box because they're too busy posting on their Facebook page. it's mildly refreshing to see everyone else on here complaining about their package being delayed for "4 days" or "10 days". sadly my package has been sitting here for 35 days. over a month and cannot get a reply or response from anyone. just going to assume that it's lost in the ether and will file a useless claim with amazon. lesson learned. no more international shipping through Los Angeles ever again. this is why people encourage to buy local and support small business even if it is a bit on the pricier side. hope the rest of you guys are having better luck than my poor parcel. will try to update when/IF it ever arrives (which i doubt) so far it has been sitting in the facility since april 19th 2016 @ 1 in the a.m. its now may 24th 2016. ...way she goes boys..the way she goes. read more

I'm going to echo what basically everyone else has been saying. Package arrived from China in 2 weeks, got to LAX ISC on July 27th, where it's been sitting for 10 days now. I get it, maybe some label is damaged. Maybe my pillow covers have some evil synthetic material that I'm planning to sell to terrorist organizations. Maybe the pillow cover is hiding a bomb! But at least be reachable. Tell me where my stuff is through a phone call, or better yet send an automated notification through USPS to me telling me why you can't seem to move a package 50 miles in the span of time it has travelled across the Pacific Ocean. Just popping a positive review in here because I'm honestly so touched by the experience I had with LAX ISC. Somehow a package of mine heading to New York from the UK ended up at the LAX Postal office with it's location address damaged. Vertana, one of the amazing employees at the postal service managed to find and get hold of me by email to let me know what was happening and to get the package delivered to it's destination. I learnt so much about ensuring your package is secure and seriously haven't had an issue again since. My client received her items just a week later and absolutely loves them. Being BORN & RAISED just south of this facility. I have dealt with them for many years. They simply are inept and corrupt. ANYONE whom is receiving a pkg that comes into L.A. by container (meaning overseas) will have to wait a minimum of 2 weeks. The excuse IS: U.S. Customs is at fault which again is not necessarily true. Most times this sorting facility is SLOW! The service there is less than 1 star, the employees are ignorant, and WE the people whom pay for these services are the one's whom suffer foolishly. I found out through my type of work that the worst thing someone can do to get that company or place of business in a bit of trouble for not doing their jobs. ( if deservedly so ). My package is in the same mess that everyone else here is in. I for one am someone that wont just accept horrible service especially from some retarded workers of the state. After seeing some of the reviews, I was a bit nervous as to when my package was going to go through, and if it'd even go through this place quickly or if I would be waiting for months, but sure enough, it only spent roughly 2-3 days here so do not worry too much if you don't see movement within a day or two! My package made it through this facility quickly and efficiently and I could not be more happy! Now everyone I heard that the problem is they have one old drug sniffing dog which been sick for two weeks and now just starting it 2 week vacation and the bomb dog is on maternity and won't be back for two more months. They can't do a thing until they are back. I used to blame China for their slow mail but now I know better. So what can we do when no one higher up cares?
