After dropping my daughter off at work, I decided to stop at Home Depot since it was right across the street from the mall because I needed to pick up wood to complete a trellis. I grabbed the wood I needed, but wanted it cut down. I asked two associates who were nearby and they told me that they needed to load some plywood first, could I wait? I told them sure, I could wait. They sounded a little as if I was putting them out, but whatever... During the first 15 minutes that I waited, several employees walked past me: No eye contact, no "you finding everything okay?", no "do you need any help", no acknowledgment at all. Fortunately, I was still patiently waiting. But then 20 minutes go by...one of the associates walks past me a second time -- still no acknowledgment...then thirty minutes... Unable to wait any longer, I decided to just pay for the wood and leave. Up at the register, the two associates who asked if I could wait are still loading plywood. The thing is...I don't have a problem waiting. I've worked retail and understand that there are other customers and tasks that need to be done, I get that. There is a limit, however. A customer should never be left waiting for 30+ minutes. If you can't get to a customer within a reasonable amount of time, you call for assistance. You let the customer know that they haven't been forgotten. You don't walk past a customer several times and not acknowledge them, especially if they're still standing in the same spot. Pablo, up at the register, was the one highlight. He was friendly and courteous. He acknowledged me and didn't make me feel as if I was putting him out. I will be doing my shopping at Lowe's from now on. I've always been greeted and helped quickly. The associates have all acknowledged me with a smile or a question as they passed me in the aisles. I've never felt invisible there.

However I was extremely disappointed when I looked into getting flooring done. The business they contract with was very difficult to work with. No urgency at all to get measurements/estimation done. Not willing whatsoever to honor the date set by Lowe's to get measurements done my husband and I decided to go with a different company, especially after we were told by four different people the bad experience they had had with the company Lowe's contracts with. So for anything other than flooring, I would recommend Lowes for home improvement projects.

I always liked Best Buy from Salt Lake to Vegas ,Idaho Falls and Twin . Also what I like about the chain they train their employees pretty well , compared to a lot of other stores and unlike some dude's in Verizon stores , who can barely tell you anything about f.e. RAM or battery capacity of the phone you intend to purchase , Best buy's guys always know what they are selling. So service is great and deals are good why shop elsewhere for electronics ? P.S. The only area for improvement I noticed with regret half a year ago that they do not ship certain bigger TV's . I mean I do not blame them , those are hard to pack securely and are easy to break yet would be nice if they could figure something out.Deals are awesome , but I am not willing to drive for 6 hrs to get a decent sized TV.

Michael is the staff member I spoke with, I started to speak and of course he hung up on me.... So, I called Nampa, asked them if the item was in stock, she said yes we have 1. I said great, I'll take it. I'll pay now over the phone and pick it up in the morning. She said NO, we don't offer that service , but we can hold it for the rest of the day. I said I don't want you to hold it, I want to pay for it, I was hung up on yet again ! You may wonder why I didn't just order 1. I tried that, the twin store informed me. Yes, I could order it, it would be 3 - 6 weeks, then it changed to 6 -8 weeks but , I was told I'd have to pay shipping. I said, ," I have to pay shipping to this store?"
