The customer service here leaves something to be desired, by a long shot. Or maybe if I had been a man, I would have had a better experience? I don't know. After dropping my daughter off at work, I decided to stop at Home Depot since it was right across the street from the mall because I needed to pick up wood to complete a trellis. I grabbed the wood I needed, but wanted it cut down. I asked two associates who were nearby and they told me that they needed to load some plywood first, could I wait? I told them sure, I could wait. They sounded a little as if I was putting them out, but whatever... During the first 15 minutes that I waited, several employees walked past me: No eye contact, no "you finding everything okay?", no "do you need any help", no acknowledgment at all. Fortunately, I was still patiently waiting. But then 20 minutes go by...one of the associates walks past me a second time -- still no acknowledgment...then thirty minutes... Unable to wait any longer, I decided to just pay for the wood and leave. Up at the register, the two associates who asked if I could wait are still loading plywood. The thing is...I don't have a problem waiting. I've worked retail and understand that there are other customers and tasks that need to be done, I get that. There is a limit, however. A customer should never be left waiting for 30+ minutes. If you can't get to a customer within a reasonable amount of time, you call for assistance. You let the customer know that they haven't been forgotten. You don't walk past a customer several times and not acknowledge them, especially if they're still standing in the same spot. Pablo, up at the register, was the one highlight. He was friendly and courteous. He acknowledged me and didn't make me feel as if I was putting him out. I will be doing my shopping at Lowe's from now on. I've always been greeted and helped quickly. The associates have all acknowledged me with a smile or a question as they passed me in the aisles. I needed an item off the top shelf, which required a hyster driver. I found "help" but they would almost rather do anything else than find someone capable of getting it down. Absolutely no hurry and helped 3 other customers that came walking up after before they even called for help. The item is bare on the shelf, and could have easily been dropped down at any point to even have to avoid doing it during busy hours but was not. DONT BUY KITCHEN COUNTERTOPS HERE! If you want countertops that take five weeks from cabinet install, have the WORST SEAMS you've ever seen, right down and off-center of the kitchen sink, leave huge gaps on the sides where the countertop meets the walls, and that require installers to come back twice (no masks either time) because they screw up how the manufacturer cut the stone, then please go to Twin Falls Home Depot for Precision countertops. And even if you don't sign off on them after they are installed, HD does nothing to help you. So don't believe that you are saved just because you don't sign the acceptance sheet after install. And don't think the nice saleswomen there will help make it right. Go to Lowes. Cheaper and better selection. read more

I typically try to keep positive when it comes to issues at retail establishments, as I work in a retail environment and understand the challenges more than most. I know that help can be hard to find, and some businesses just don't have qualified candidates applying. With that being said, this Home Depot in Twin Falls consistently underwhelms. I attempted to utilize the online ordering Home Depot offers because over the last several visits to this store, I can never find someone to help me. I figured it would be an easier way to get what I need in a reasonable time frame. Usually, I end up waiting for 20+ minutes to find someone that can unlock a caged power tool or get something down from the top shelf because no one bothered to restock the usual spot that the product should be. The first couple of online ordering attempts were not great but the only real issue I had was that the products I ordered weren't pulled and ready go for close to 10 hours. Today, I made another attempt and after 4 hours I went into the store, though I did not receive an email stating the product was ready, and was told they were too busy to get what I needed pulled. I was also told I would need to come back after I received notification the order was ready, which would likely be late evening due to a high volume of orders. Keep in mind this was a few large items. I was prepared for another 10 hour wait so I went back to the office and waited until 6PM, when I was off work, to come back. When I arrived at the store there was a line of close to a dozen people and I took my place at the end. There was one person helping so it took a while but eventually I got to the desk and was told that my order had still not been pulled. I am sure I had the look of frustration on my face because this employee went into defense mode and told me that there was no one on the clock to pull online orders. I was visibly frustrated but I kept my mouth shut as it was not this employee's fault. I glanced over to my right and saw three employees leaning on some product in the main aisle and sharing in conversation, one of them eating from a bag of Cheeto's. I made a comment about it, and the response was, "You can go pull your own products if you want." I went and pulled my own order and went back to the line and waited again so they could verify the products I had. While standing in line, I watched the customer in front of me ask for her online order and she was told it was not pulled yet and they just gave her a refund. Several customers could be heard verbalizing their discontent over the online ordering while these cashiers robotically apologized . One guy asked for the manager and in the 15 minutes I stood there in line, the manager never showed up but this guy stood there waiting while people walked around him. Just seems odd that any retailer would have an online order system so that customers can wait 10 hours plus, for pickup of in-stock items. Maybe a communication tool that lets people know there will be delays so the customer has an option to cancel the online order and do things the old fashioned way? Instead of waiting 10 hours and being forced to have awkward conversations with employees that take verbal abuse all day. I utilize many local retailers online ordering option and they only need a couple of hours to have my stuff ready to go. It is super convenient to order what I need while at work, and then pick it up on the way home without fighting the post 5PM crowds. The aisles in this store are full of cardboard displays that are empty, there are carts loaded with what appears to be returns that need to be put away all over the place, employees seem frustrated and overwhelmed, many customers are wandering around asking other customers if they know where employees are that can help them... The culture in this place just seems to be more chaos than constructive. Being the only real go to place in town for most of the products they carry, has earned them a great deal of easy money. At some point though, the need to create and keep a customer centric storefront will hopefully take precedence and they will once again, be a place folks would be willing to do business with. read more

If I go into Home Depot to order a dryer they let you pick one of the floor models then they tell you they don't have any in stock. They can have it delivered in two days. Why wouldn't I just get on amazon it'll be at my door a day earlier? I wouldn't have to wait in line to get a chance to talk to the highly trained appliance employee, the only one in that dept. Just to find out he's a guy from lumber covering lunch for appliance guy. If I need a dryer today it shouldn't be this complicated. Let me leave with a floor model. If I could give zero stars, I would. The worst customer service and order communication I have ever experienced. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. My experience is far too long to list but one example of the absolute crap service I experienced was a cancellation of my order unbeknownst to me. I called to check on the status and was made aware it was cancelled. I requested my refund over the phone since I live 60+ miles away. Aaron said he could not issue my refund and I have to come in person to receive? What in the actual F*CK? So I have to drive 60+ miles out of my way to receive a refund for an order take over the phone that I did not cancel. read more

Home Depot carries all kinds of merchandise for a home or property owner that wants to DIY. It also carries a full lumber yard, tools, paint, nursery and miscellaneous home outside furnishings along with flooring and fixtures. The one major issue with being a customer is finding someone to help you and the largest obstacle is finding someone that knows anything about the product you are looking at. If you get lucky enough to obtain the aforementioned great! If you don't however, go to Lowe's! read more

I'm getting the runaround on trying to return a husky tool. They say guaranteed forever and the website says guaranteed forever but I've spoken to 3 people & I've been here for over an hour trying to just exchange one husky screwdriver for the exact same screwdriver. If it's guaranteed forever it should be a simple process. Not fighting with every employee who has a different view and opinion on the policy. No one seems to have any authority to make an official decision on how to go about it. Ive spoken to 2 employees. Then they said I have to wait for Amanda. I've waited 30 minutes for Amanda to find time to help us. Now I have to wait for a manager to make an official decision. read more

I purchased a new LG refrigerator in August of 2020 with a delivery day in October. That was fine and not the issue. I waited patiently and finally my delivery date arrived. When I was contacted I informed the agent that the delivery people would most likely need to remove the doors to get it into my kitchen. She stated that would not be an issue as they do that all the time. When they arrived they were shocked that they had to take the doors off. Then even more irritated when they were asked to change how the door opens. The entire reason for my purchase was because butterfly doors don't work in my kitchen due to a wall. They said they could not change how the refrigerator opened. After some back and forth they said they would try. VOILA the doors can be adjusted. They then stated that they could not connect the water line as I needed a different line type. At this point I just wanted them to leave so I said fine. They proceed to pack up and go. I climbed behind the refrigerator and screwed in the water line. Yep, that is all that it took and all that they were unwilling to do. Needless to say I will be very reluctant to purchase another appliance from Home Depot. read more

I called "Bree" in Lawn & Garden to inquire about the "Patio on a pallet" item. She wasn't very familiar with the inventory so I asked to speak with someone else. She started yelling at me that "she never heard of it" then hung up on me. Needless to say Lowes is right around the corner & set me up nicely with a "patio on a pallet" It's only $700 but that's $700 that Bree sent to the competition. I drove a hour to get a new ac unit. When I went to check out the price was $100 dollars more than what it was advertised for on their website. I told the cashier that the price was not right. She said they do not honor the prices listed online. To me that is very deceitful of Home Depot. She said you can order it online and ship it to the store it only takes a couple days. It was available to order online it said you need to go into the store to check availability. I called prior to make sure it was there. I just drove a hour for them to waste my time. I talked to a guy and lady at customer service who were nice about the situation and offered to drop it $50. I declined and told them I will give someone else my business. The guy literally told me Home Depot doesn't honor online prices and that I should go to Lowe's. I will never give Home Depot another dime of my money they are deceitful crooks that lure people in to charge them more. read more

When I contacted Home Depot and asked if they had Alginate, they told me yes come right in. I went to Home Depot and asked the ladies where it was and they had no clue. They looked it up and they didn't have it in the system. They pointed me towards it might be. They didn't have it. Just for the hell of it I called them again while in the store. Then they recharged my card for two cookers...My local management is a disaster. They say the delivery guy only works on Mondays and Fridays.
