Delicious "hole in the wall" place! So good. And the service was fast even though it was busy.

After a long day at work I wanted to treat myself to a really nice dinner and saw this place across…read morefrom my hotel and I said I've got to go check it out. To be honest, it was a little hard to figure out where the restaurant was cuz there are three different restaurants in the building, so I went through the front door and then found the entrance. I decided to sit at a table rather than at the bar, and I'm glad I did. My waitress, Sadia was awesome! He was attentive, made great suggestions. And was very very gracious. I started off with fried calamari, which was a little bit underdone, but still very tasty. Tasty. Next up was a side Caesar salad, which was very good and on point, on to the main course which was the steak frittes which was cooked perfectly. I also had dessert, which was the lemon tart and that was the perfect capper for a meal. Bottom line? This was one of the most delightful meals I have had, perfectly paced, well cooked, and served with a smile. I will definitely be going back anytime. I am definitely coming back to this restaurant when I'm in the area!

We had a private dining area with Michelle, as our Host with Mary & Lauren in her team. She made sure all our needs were met, provided exceptional service and was attentive at all times . Everyone in the group enjoyed the evening with delicious food, tasty appetizers, great wine and delectable desserts. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, several dining areas and a central bar with an inviting atmosphere. All dishes including Chicken, Salmon and prime rib were delicious as the Main course and the chocolate brownie and crème brûlée were decadent. The soup and salads were on point.

Finding street parking was a bit hard on a Friday night. Club next door, does not help. Patrons…read morefrom the club were allowed to use the washroom while we were there. Service is good, the staff knew if noodles did have eggs in them (they don't we were told). The interior clean. The Hot and Sour Soup was OK. Nothing that stood out, if I were to say less spicy and less tangy than we were expecting. The Medium Size was also smaller than we expected. The Manchurian Pakoras were way mushy and did not stood up to the gravy. A good sign is that they are still bit crispy. The Noodles, fairly good. Good amount of veggies however the overall quantity of the noodles were probably half of we get elsewhere. It would be nice if they could amp the flavour a bit and quantity as well.

The Shanghai noodles were just ok too. The place does need a little attention, the wall where the booths were had scratches on it so you could see the old paint so the look was just ok again. Now the service was slow! We were the only ones in there and it was slow, when 3 other tables arrived wow even slower. They need to pay more attention to the customers. The table behind us and I had to constantly call over the server. The fried banana was not good, the dough wasn't cooked but also had no flavour. Not sure if I would go back again!

Walking in, we were greeted with a smile. The interior of the restaurant was spacious with a private feel since they had areas sectioned off from one another. We ordered the Japchae (5/5), Boneless Yangnyum Galbi (4/5), Pork Belly (4/5). Japchae was delicious with a hint of smokey flavour to it. The noodles were chewy and complemented well with the savoury flavours of bulgogi. The vegetables added a nice crunch to every bite. The mushrooms added a chewy and fun texture to the dish. Boneless Yangnyum Galbi was so tender. Its marinade was on the sweet side which we weren't really a fan of but we still enjoyed the dish. Pork Belly was also tender. It was thinly sliced which was quite a let down since we typically prefer pork belly sliced a bit thicker. The BBQ we ordered came with two bowls of rice and lettuce (non-refillable), ssamjang and sesame oil with black pepper and salt for dipping, and some side dishes that were refillable: kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumbers and sweet potato. The overall quality of the ingredients, especially the meats, were great. It was pretty telling how much the cooks enjoyed prepping and cooking the dishes. This place is on the pricier side which is reasonable for the quality of their food. The portions are also reasonable for their price-points. I'd come back on a special occasion and/or when I'm craving japchae. The servers we had were attentive, checking in every so often to clear our dishes and change our grills.

We peeked inside. It was busy and with quite a few Persians. We decided to try it. I am so glad that we tried it. Everything that we ordered was outstanding. We got the Rayhoon trio sampler, Addas Palo, and lamb shank. The trio sampler was basically 3 different dippings and came with a basket of bread. The owner was very nice. While we were enjoying the food, he walked up and greeted. He explained how we could use the trio sampler to enjoy the entrees which really made it even better. Following the suggestion, I put a little bit of lamb sauce over the rice and put a little bit of yogurt sauce over a small piece of lamb, then ate them all in one spoon.... It was amazing!
