I'd give Miga Korean BBQ in Mississauga three and a half stars if I could, but I can't. The food was above average, not bad, but not amazing for the premium price. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Overall, it's a decent spot for Korean BBQ, but I expected a bit more for what you pay.

Staff was incredibly attentive, plenty of parking. As for the food we got the set meal but i would order the wagyu the other cuts are meh. The appetizers were delicious (shrimp / noodles / salad) pancakes were okay, would skip if you are thinking of ordering it.

I like that there's indoor and outdoor space for barbecuing. We chose to sit on the patio. Each picnic table on the patio has its own grill. Dogs are allowed on the patio, and we saw a few while we were there. The exterior has been decorated really well, with flower walls and plenty of places to take photos. The menu is accessible via a QR code, and like many Korean restaurants, there's a bell on the table if you require service and don't see a server nearby. This is a premium Korean BBQ restaurant, so there's cuts of meat here (like A5 Japanese wagyu beef and steak) that I don't see at other restaurants. The BBQ platters are on the pricey side. An option would be to order from the BBQ menu (minimum 2 orders) instead of going with a platter. The service was exceptional. Since we'd never dined here before, our server explained how it worked, including the option of not ordering set platters, checking to see if our grill needed to be changed (it did), and making sure our water carafe was always filled.

This is my third time at Miga and it never disappoints. If you're in Mississauga and looking for premium wagyu, this is the spot to go! Check out their outdoor patios as well - opened in the summer and heated in the winter. We ordered: Premium Wagyu Set - Japanese Wagyu - Premium Ribeye - Pork Belly - Appetizers: Beef Dumpling, Bulgogi Noodles, Salad Other Appetizers - Gochu Shrimp - Wagyu Croquette - Seafood Pancake Drinks - Yuzu Cocktail - Espresso Martini Desserts - Chocolate Cake - Crème Brûlée OVERALL REVIEW Premium Wagyu Set Wagyu was mouthwatering & the quality of meat is 10/10! Portion size was enough considering how filling the appetizers were. All flavours were amazing Appetizers Wagyu set came with salad, tempura shrimp, bulgogi noodles, & beef dumplings. We also ordered gochu shrimp, Wagyu croquette, & seafood pancake. The bulgogi noodles are my all time fav! The sauce on the gochu shrimp was spicy but sweet. Tempura shrimp and beef dumplings were both crispy. The Wagyu croquette was heavy but was generous in size. Lastly the pancake is the perfect shareable dish! Desserts Chocolate Cake - surprisingly was an ice cream cake, it was very rich and decadent. Crème brûlée - smooth and delicious and the perfect size.

I haven't been back to Miga Korean BBQ since COVID hit and recently visited this month for a late birthday celebration. This place is still one of my favourite Korean BBQ spots in the city & GTA! The quality is still amazing and has not gone downhill at all like some restaurants. I feel like they had improved their restaurant as well with decorative patio seating in correlation to the season. In the summer they had beautiful flower arrangements, autumn they had fall leaves and warm colours, and this month when I visited - they had Christmas decorations. We didn't sit in the patio but they do provide blankets and have heated lamps beside the tables. We had ordered their premium Wagyu set ($140 + tax). The set comes with: - banchan: kimchi, bean sprouts, bok choy, potatoes - green salad - 6 pieces gyoza - 4 pieces shrimp tempura - bulgogi stir fry udon - meat: A5 waygu, premium ribeye, pork belly This set was amazing! It is recommended to feed 2-3 people. It was just my partner and I and were stuffed! It is quite pricey for the set but in my opinion it is worth it because of the Wagyu and it does come with other dishes. They didn't cheap out on portions either and the meats were amazing quality. The star of the show was obviously the Wagyu beef and as you can tell with the marbling in my pictures, the fat really cooked down perfectly to melt in your mouth like butter! However, the ribeye and pork belly also tasted incredible and tender. The appetizers: tempura and gyoza were fried nicely and crunchy. It was a great way to start our meal along with the bulgogi udon. The udon was cooked al dente and the sauce was just fabulous with the tender bulgogi beef. It makes me want to learn how to make it at home! The udon was probably my favourite out of all the appetizers. What I also like about this place is that you're able to get free refills for the banchan as well. The meal didn't come with rice or lettuce wrap so we ordered that separately on top of our set. At the end of the night they also gave us a birthday tiramisu cake as a lovely treat to end our meal :) Staff here provide great service and they are really on top of changing out our grills if it is really charred. This really helps cooking the meat a lot better without leaving burnt pieces on them. The restaurant is clean and spacious with a lot of seating but I highly recommend making reservations during peak times. We arrived around 630pm and it was a full house. Luckily we only had to wait 30 minutes for a table Sunday night but on other days I've heard people had to wait 1-2 hours.

Food was amazing!! Very surprised. Food was very authentic and presentation was beautiful. service was great as well. We ordered the premium Gabi lunch set which came with seaweed, salad, shrimp tempura, galbi with French fries at the bottom (a very unique and nice surprise), rice and steamed egg. Yukaejang, and the nyeongmyeon with Galbi set. Both of my guests from South Korea, enjoyed their meals and said it's like they're in Korea. Food portions were right for the prices. We left full and satisfied. The decorations and the cleanliness of the restaurant is also a plus.

Really like to recommend this place! Great choices in the menu. Nice and clean ambiance, maintaining COVID-19 protocols, sittings are well spaced. The food is wonderful. We went for the Japanese Wagyu Beef and Prime Bulgogi from the BBQ Menu. The bulgogi was nicely marinated, liked the taste of their secret Miga sausage. They have both indoor and a patio for outdoor sitting, both are nicely decorated. Ample parking spaces in the private parking lot. The waiting time could be really long (we had 2 hours waiting), but it's worth.

Been seeing their upgraded decor and patio all over Instagram but only got to visit it again (after a few years) for my cousin's birthday. We got the marinated combo and the premium wagyu set. 1) Marinated Combo The set comes with LA galbi, bulgogi, spicy pork, spicy chicken, and appetizers such as beef dumplings, bulgogi noodle, and salad. They were quite generous with the meat proportions and the flavours were good! 2) Premium Wagyu Set This one comes with Japanese wagyu A4 sirloin, ribeye, pork belly, and appetizers such as shrimp tempura, beed dumpling, bulgogi noodle, and salad. The marbling on the wagyu was just wow and the meat was tender and just melts in your mouth. I did find it that I enjoyed the ribeye more as I found the wagyu to be slightly salty even when eaten with rice. Overall, the amount and quality of the food was enough for the price. The service wasn't as fast but we did come when they were busy.

Extra star for the amount of effort and thought put into a dining experience. Came recently in mid- November and the restaurant was already decorated to the max for Christmas. Plenty of picturesque places to take pictures even before going inside. When checking in at the front desk, they asked if we would like our coats cleaned while we ate. Huh? What kind of next level service is this? Decided to try it out and was happy I was wearing my old coat that needed some attention anyways. Finally reached the table and we debated ordering the BBQ but decided it was too much for lunch. We each ordered different items and I got two appetizers to try. The Gochu shrimp had 6-7 pieces of large shrimp, fried to a crisp and then doused in gochujang sauce. Also got the Seafood Jijimi, which came with three little pancakes of seafood with a spicy salty sauce on the side. Crispy on the outside with soft chewy parts inside. Quite nice. When my coat was handed back to me, it seemed cleaner and was nicely toasty from the 'clean'. The meal prices are a little bit expensive, but that is understandable with all the extras and the service provided.

You know everyone has that place. A place that take you back to the days when you were a small child and simpler times. Back to when staying in for dinner was home cooking done right! Where you stand in the kitchen and try to help so you can get that little snack or sampler from the great food being prepared. My memories is of my Mom expertly putting garlic, onions, sugar, spices and other ingredients to make the marinade for the Galbi. The intense aromas and the amazing flavours it would imbue to the meats. The hours of time it took to put gochugaru (chilli powder) with oysters and other seafood, into a julienned pile of veggies to make TongKimChi and MakKimChi. Yeah those were the days... [insert welling tears in my eyes and a little sniffle]. Life is hectic now. Gone are the days of laborious home prep and cooking. The long dinner sit downs and having a few drinks with family and friends. And with today's Pandemic, though we are home, we are doing less and less breaking of bread and enjoying the time together over a good meal. When I go to a classic Korean Restaurant, I get the FEELS back. The aroma from the kitchen, the conversations of other spilling to our table, and finally enjoying food as it was meant to be. Relaxed and with company. That's what Miga and a small collection of restaurants are for me. A reminder of simpler times. Miga has been around for quite a long time. This Mississauga gem is a mainstay among the Koreans in our community. If you want to eat authentic, you have to go where the people, in the know, goes. Those who know...goes to Miga. I've dined here when I would be in the west end of town. Their Korean BBQ is excellent and their Japanese BBQ selection is off the chart too! Yes... they Wagyu if you do, Wagyu too!!! LOL. Now with only takeout - and hopefully only for the next two weeks, it's been rough for everyone. Places like this that provide a food experience with table BBQ and the classic explosion of BahnChahn spread, it's even harder. My last trip was to get their take home kit. I know that it'll never match the experience and taste of being their but I miss a good Korean BBQ... don't you? I got an order of Galbi Dinner, with some tempura shrimp, and TteokBoKi. A small selection of BahnChahn and KimChi was provided. I have a long drive back home to Richmond Hill so I know that the food will be cooled and some food might suffer container lock (steam cooling to water and spoiling the consistency and flavour of the food). BUT after a year of lockdown eating, I've learned some valuable tricks! HeHeHe... First of all, my meal was still good after the long drive back. But I wanted to re-heat some of my meal. Tip#1 - use an air fryer to revive the tempura. Max temp - 3-5mins depending on your device and crispy tempura is back baby! Tip#2 - Take the Galbi and just stove top grill it again... i do. I find that Galbi has good fat content and can withstand a little more heat and rendering. The meal was excellent. The Galbi is well seasoned and the cook was perfect. The TteokBoKi was a bit on the sweet side but it's need it if you like to drench your rice in the hot sauce! OMG! So good! The tempura is always a treat for me. I know it's not the best thing to have but sometimes you have to have a cheat day or six! I appreciated the selection of BahnChahn and the KimChi here is legit good! Dare I say it...? Just like momma makes it? Oh... I hope my Mom doesn't read this review!!! LOL! I might not get another home cook meal if she did! If you are looking for authentic and amazing Korean food - and you happen to be at the end of Mississauga. Drop by and get yourself a meal here. The meal here is going to taste better, and be better for you than your 'Murican-Fast-Food that you might be thinking. When the patio opens up, I'm going to have me some REAL KBBQ Moments to remember! Help support your local business. Do take out when you can. Always pick up and avoid apps as they take 30% from small businesses that can barely afford to keep the doors open. REMEMBER! BUY Local or say BYE Local. CHEERS!!!

There are several mispelled words and other issues with spacing and formatting printed in the menu which for me personally gives off a bad initial impression and lowers the overall vibe of the dining establishment. The food and service does make up for it a little bit. Our waitress was quick to offer house tea early on after we have arrived. The complimentary kimchi and onion for each diner was also always welcome. As an appetizer, I enjoyed our order of small Boneless Fried Chicken flavored with Cheese *Sprinkle. (The other available flavors include Sweet & Sour, Soy Garlic, Honey, Spicy, Spicy *Honey) There were enough pieces of the chicken for sharing between our group of 5 people. Something else I appreciated was the authentic feel of the rice being served in a hot stone pot inside the wooden crates. My main order was menu item #1 Combination Soon Tofu (Beef, Shrimp, Mussel) + Hot Stone Pot Rice. I find the order OK to good. There was too much going on in the soup to find any unifying or distinctive taste. If I have to order again, I would choose a different soup dish sticking to 1 main topping instead of 3. Another main dish I have gotten to sample was menu item #12 Pork Bone Soup. I wouldn't rank it among the best Korean Pork Bone Soups (Gamjatang) I have tried. The meat could have used more time cooking as it was not as tender as I normally expect for this dish. Lastly, I find the overall theming of the place lacking. Considering the restaurant's name, I expected them to specialize with tofu dishes or at least to have a signature menu item having tofu as the main ingredient. The tofu I did have included in my dish was nothing special.
