It is not too far from home and very new and clean. I am guessing this camp is less than five years old but the construction and thought process behind the layout is wonderful. They have a huge slide that goes into the lake. They have a theatrical theater, new, clean, very nice cabins that have AC. They keep out fresh fruit as snacks, and my daughter being a vegetarian had no problem at all. The leaders of this camp base everything (from what I can tell) about developing your daughter into a strong independent person. They stress the great women in history and the impact they made on our lives. They lead your child into coming home full of confidence and pride in the things they accomplished with out your help. My daughter did one week last year but it will be two this year. This camp made a huge impression on her life and I am excited to see how she grows in the next session this summer. This is a very nice safe and protected place for you child. I often look at the picture on her wall hanging out in front of her cabin , messing around with her friends, having the time of her life. Sincerely, Papa Bear.

My daughters have been going to this camp for 5 years. Every year, they count down the days until…read morethey can go again. It's been a magical place for them. I'm so happy that Piper and Popsie (the leaders) have been part of our lives. Some of my favorite stories my girls have shared.... When my youngest daughter went for the first couple years, she had a "big sister" from the 9th grade leadership girls. The big sisters are supposed to grant wishes for the little sisters. Well, my daughter wanted to stop time. So, her "big" got everyone in the camp to agree that if my daughter yelled "Freeze!" in the dining hall, everyone would stop in place for five seconds. It was an empowering moment to know her wish could come true in such a creative way. Another year, my older daughter was struggling with some friendship issues. When the counselors ended up giving her the firelighter award - as someone who represented the spirit of camp - her entire self-perception changed in a very positive way that carried forward out of camp. This year, the middle school girls wrote everything they didn't like about themselves on post its, stuck them on their counselors, then ripped the post-its to shreds... so they knew they could destroy the power those things had over them. On top of all these amazing self-empowerment moments, camp is just fun! My girls come back learning new songs, happy about new friends, and exhausted from having so much activity for two solid weeks. And they even rave about the food. We heart CLC.

Classes are available for toddlers, children, and adults, and projects change regularly, ranging from crafts to sewing. Schedules change regularly so the website is the best way to find out what they're currently offering. I've been attending an evening adult calligraphy class here for a few weeks and have really enjoyed the process. The instructors are warm and friendly, coaching with clear directions to call out the artist in even extreme 'left-brainy folks' like me. The class is small, making for an intimate class setting where no one ever gets lost. All of the materials are provided, meaning all you have to do is show up with a sense of adventure and a creative spirit.

The nice thing is that they did actual real art not just some crafts that I could do at home with them. The instructors that they have are of course, great with kids. My boys came home every day from camp really excited to show me what they had done and even more excited to go back the next day. Just recently, we signed our 7 yo up for a 6 week (once per week) session. Once again, our experience has been great. We really like that they teach them are concepts. The first lesson they learned about perspective which is pretty cool considering the students and classes are only in first grade. If you're looking for a studio to take your kid who loves art and is ready to learn real art techniques this is the place to go. 4 stars? Let me tell you why…read more We've been visiting The Woodlands Children's Museum regularly for the past couple of years, and overall it's been a solid experience for younger kids. It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Overall, this museum is a great option for younger children who enjoy hands-on, imaginative play in a calm environment. It's affordable, well-located, and thoughtfully run, but best suited for kids who do well with structure. We'll continue to visit, just not expecting major changes each time.

PLEASE READ AND RECONSIDER YOUR DECISION:…read more I feel very guilty to send my children there. Since the camp is not allowing kids having any electronics there, I had no way to know what was going on. Upon picking him up, he rushed me to take him home with teary eyes. This is uncommon to see him, esp now a middle school boy to show such emotion. I asked counselor how he was doing this week, he said, "it's better, but was rough at the beginning." I curiously asked, "what do you mean 'rough'?" He simply answered, "Words" and did not elaborate further. When we were ready to drive away from the parking lot, my son said "They are RACIST!" I was surprised what came out of his mouth. I carefully clarified what was going on.. He said many of his cabinmate said he was a "Ching Chong" and was a "WONTON BOY"!! The counselors witnessed everything but did not report to upper and took bullying situation seriously. Counselors hid, brushed off, and did not relay the incidents to parents (as they are young college students too). My son was just reading his book upon arrival as he is a "slow to warm" personality and did not bother anyone, but was being treated with UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIORS by his cabin mates and MENTORS. I was expecting this Christian camp would be a transforming experience, but it traumatized him at very difficult middle school age. Last day of the camp, kids leave with a booklet called "21-day challenge". By having such devotion, you get a "prize" once you complete them. I encouraged him to do it, he simply put it aside with a very sad sad face... As his mother, my heart aches. May God heals him fast and understand people (whether children or adults) that being mean or brushed off his hurts do not change God's and our love to him... As I mentioned the incident to Pastor Al before we left, he said, "I myself said something when I was younger that was not right either. We cannot stop all the situation to happen because that is how the world is now, quite sad." Will you take all these as parent? If you are colored ones like us, God still love you no matter what. We are not thin skin like wonton because He brings us trials and we overcame them, at this Carolina Creek. Also, I just found out from my daughter that kids are not allowed to wear ANY shoes inside cabins including shower/bathroom area. All shoes have to be left outside cabin. Our particular cabin - no bathroom allowed to use at night because this disturbs others. You know what, she unintentionally brought a poisonous toad back home when we washed her water shoes. I cannot believe it...

Bluey camp I bought this as an Eid gift for my children. We…read moreare definitely a bluey household. My daughter had a bluey themed birthday party just about a month earlier, and most of her clothes are adorned with bluey and bingo. So when I saw that this camp was in town, I knew we had to make it. First things first, which is that we spent just a couple of dollars short shy of $200 for our family of 7 (baby was free so we only bought 6 tickets). At least they didn't charge for the baby, although I'm always annoyed when things like this charge for adults. The check in process was easy and the girl who gave us the tour going in (Sophia) was fun and easy going. You pretty much explore the house for 50 minutes, before you actually are able to meet bingo and bluey. So you're essentially killing time for about an hour. When we came in, they played keepy uppy and had a little dance party later and coloring sheets. It was essentially what I did at my daughter's birthday party, but with strangers. I do wish they had more fun things going on. They definitely could have incorporated more. Because giving kids coloring shades seem like a cop out... That could have been something to just give the kids before they left. Having a dance party and playing keepy uppy is nice, but I felt like the people working there could have done more things or had more fun. A few of the people seem to stay "in character", but some were just doing their job. The house had details from the show, but it also could use a good cleaning and update some of the things. Almost an hour of that seemed to have lulls. I didn't mind it too much because I started feeding my baby, but I can see how just following your kid around in a house would get tiring when they want to see their favorite characters. We finally got to meet bluey and bingo and the person in that room was great about taking our pictures. They informed us that taking the pictures with them would be $15, so we opted to just take pictures on our phone. Whe we were leaving, they had Johnny pops Popsicles in a freezer and I was going to get six of them for our family and they informed me that they are only for kids, even though they charged for the adults. So that was a bummer, but also unnecessary. I asked for one for my younger daughter, and girl at the counter laughed, and I said I was serious. The girl at the counter literally would not give me a popsicle for my other daughter who had to go to the restroom, and waited for her to come back from the restroom just to hand her a popsicle. It left a sour taste in my mouth even though it was not sherbert (get it? Bluey reference). We spent almost $200 and could not have been given less than $8 worth of Popsicles. Ridiculous. Other than that girl with black hair and glasses, everyone else over there is going to be helpful and nice, and it was a fun experience for my children.
