Went here for a work team building and truly the best team building I've ever done! Everyone loved it, including those like me who don't traditionally enjoy team building. It was a great opportunity for all of us to be creative, was chill, and left ample time to socialize as well while waiting to go/watching your coworkers make their project. All the staff were also so nice and did an amazing job talking us through the process and sharing the history of glass blowing. We got to choose between an globe ornament, tear drop ornament, or bowl. I chose the teardrop ornament and settled on gold/copper colors. This is my first bad yelp review, ever. It feels bad. I made a mistake re: location. Called twice the week leading up to get a receipt/details. Their website was having issues. It did show up the night before--which I missed. Think that equates to about 70/30. Taking $400 & charging $100-200 to reschedule is extreme. A $100 loss would be understandable. Am apologetic for wasting time but would have appreciated understanding, flexibility & kindness. read more

I've hosted many group events for my employee social club and this place has been on-point every single time! The staff is knowledgeable and entertaining and this is the only hands on glass blowing experience in the Houston and surrounding area! The summer camp was an amazing experience for me and my kid. Patrick and Jacqui are incredible instructors; patient, knowledgable and inspiring. Patrick's philosophy was to teach us how to work with the glass and understand the art rather than to simply blow and shape pieces and by the end of the week we could both see how that had payed off when making our final joint project of a pair of mushrooms that involved using the all the skills we had learnt during the week as we built and assembled the pieces. If you are looking for a fun, exciting and immensely rewarding week, that you would be hard pressed to find a better time than with Patrick and Jacqui. read more

My friends invited me to participate in a glass blowing class. While their studio is far up north, they have a dirt parking lot you can park in. Up front is a small gallery with a desk while the glass-blowing furnaces and preparation area are off to the side. ***An important notice*** - Make sure you wear appropriate clothing - they recommend long sleeves, pants, closed toe shoes and tying back long hair and glasses. I brought safety glasses with me to be "extra" safe. Drink lots of water BEFORE and AFTER the class. The ovens get hot and you won't feel it while your friends are working on their pieces but you will when you are in front of the furnace. Wear comfortable shoes. You will be standing almost the entire time although they do have tables to sit at. I was really impressed with our instructor. We have a 4 piece limit and there were three of us, so my friend got to make two since it was her Christmas present. They have several options to choose from---candy bowl, ornaments and glass flowers are just some of the choices. You start out by selecting the 3 colors of glass you want. I picked the flower. I chose a light green for the stem color and a dark blue mixture and light blue mix for my blossom. Don't be afraid to choose contrasting colors! They look great when finished. Eric, our instructor, started off with a safety tutorial and a demonstration of the tools which I appreciated. He then guided along each step and even took some of the "grunt" work of turning the pole in the furnace. We got to do hands on participation and had all our questions answered. The class was supposed to be 3 hours long, but it ran about 30 minutes over which was very nice of them. There was also another group working side by side with us. Once the pieces are finished, they will need to "cool off" at 900 degrees in the oven. You won't be able to pick them up until the next day which might mean another long drive. Overall, a one of a kind experience. I loved my glass flower and my friends loved their pieces too! read more

Could definitely find a place with better customer service. Tried rescheduling a class I missed because they closed for months. If you are going to take almost 400$ from someone (400$ you didn't even have to do anything for) you could at least have a better attitude about it. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My wife has been fascinated with glass for as long as I can remember and she is actually a stained glass artist. For her birthday last weekend, I wanted to get her a special glassblowing experience, something she has never done. I contacted the owner via e-mail as I found their fabulous website to be overwhelming (I am not the most technical person in the world). Sally was so responsive and patient with me so I could pick exactly the right experience for her. Well, we went on Saturday for my wife's sessions and it was phenomenal! The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The instructor was excellent and my wife had some hands on experience. If you've ever thought about trying this, do it! Excellent demo. We attended a two hour demonstration on the art of glass blowing. It was amazing and educational. Can't beat that! The Gaffer (Eric) started with a particular piece but it failed so we got an understanding of just how delicate the process is. The second piece turned out beautiful! Throughout the demo Sally narrated the process. Some parts of the process were difficult to see as Eric had to have his back to us. Other parts were blocked by others assisting him. The property is beautiful with a playground in the back and an expansive deck area. It would make for a pleasurable family outing or Moms day out. Looking forward to returning for the opportunity to help create my own piece. Though this place is WAY out, Google maps takes you right to it. Though the building is nondescript, it has great signage making it super easy to find. read more

My husband and I have been here 3 times for various classes - Valentine's Couples Wavy Bowl, Christmas Ornament Workshop, and the Easter Special Make Your Own Egg. Every time we go it's so much fun and we learn something new. The classes we've signed up for are hands on and the instructors are great at explaining every step and how to use the tools. Our family loved the Christmas ornament gifts we made for them last year and couldn't believe we made them ourselves (with help of course). So far the Easter Egg class has been my favorite. Being able to pull the glass and swirl around the colors was so cool. If you're looking for a fun and unique activity or date idea I highly recommend Three Dimensional Visions! Visited yesterday for the first time. I called first to see if I could stop in, didn't want to interrupt a class or anything, and was welcomed warmly by Sally and Michael. They were done with the work for the day but I toured the shop and Sally explained a lot of the process. I am still reeling from a telephone conversation I had with who I believe is the owner at 9:00 this Monday morning. I was having difficulty booking a class for three people online, so I called the telephone number noted on their website and asked the woman if she could take the reservation over the phone. She proceeded to tell me that she had just gotten out of bed, this was her personal cell phone number, she wasn't in front of a computer and the shop doesn't open until 10. Her tone was so nasty, apparently from just waking up, and asked if I could call back. Not on your life. I was stunned that she would talk to a prospective customer the way she did. She just lost 3 customers for a short workshop, and most likely at least one of us would have ended up booking the six-week session. I have a suggestion: go back to bed and get up on the other side! read more

I found Three Dimensional Visions on Yelp, and based on the 4+ star recommendations, four of us went there on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate a friend's birthday. The staff and artisans at 3DV were very patient, gracious, talented, and safety conscious at all times. A shout-out to Eric who explained every step of the glass creation procedure, and took up (and succeeded on) the challenge of helping us make two-handled washing cups. I visited the shop during one of the demo classes not knowing that they had a registration requirement. However, I was greeted warmly and was told I was welcome to stay and watch as the registered participants worked through their demos. Sally kept checking back to answer any questions I may have had and explain some of the work being done. It was a very educational and enjoyable visit. I will most certainly be registering for a demo at least. Their operation is very professional and as state of the art as you can get and still work the glass by hand. And customer service is fantastic. I watched the many participants completing their demos and leaving with big smiles on their faces. read more
