We have been staying at Lazy Days rv resort for the last twenty years and during that time we have seen the level of service ,amenities and maintenance decline. For example there used to be an escort to your site with guidance if needed, a newspaper delivered to your site each morning, breakfast AND LUNCH included, sites had neatly manicured lawn areas, discounts were given for past customers, trolley pick up at the rec center every 15 or 20 minutes to shuttle to front porch cafe, now I noticed a sign "if your tired of waiting golf cart is available to rent for 40,00" what a slap in the face. This place used to be a good value, not anymore. read more

The LazyDays RV Resort has surpassed my expectations by far. I recently needed to stay near the Moffit Cancer center located in Tampa for 30 days for almost daily treatment. We had been looking at pull behind trailers for some time so we decided that we would accelerate the purchase and buy a trailer and keep it near the center. We found a 24 ft. Forrest River Surveyor 2019, they sold to us below MSRP by a fair amount. They did the prep and set up my van with hitch and sway bars. We spent the night in it and they allowed us keep there a few days until I needed to come back for my treatment and was nice enough to move it to their adjacent RV resort in the lot that we reserved for the 30 days. They gave us a very generous Moffit Cancer center discount, we get to stay in our own bed about 18 minutes from the center at a fraction of the cost of a cheap hoteI. I was very happy with the interest, probably a good time to buy with the interest rates going up and the insurance I was able to get from an on site broker. Thanks Kurt Ardalan for the help you provided and the patience when you showed us many RV's and for arranging moving the RV to our site. Ron Fleming came to our hotel and picked up our van while I was at the center so my wife could sleep in. You and your team of specialists were very thorough showing us how everything worked. Christine was so nice, knowledgeable and helpful and she knew where Fred's all you can eat fresh country food buffet was and told us how good it was. George Mattos made the purchase and paperwork unpainfull as possible and Lee did the same with the insurance. I really appreciate everything your team of professionals did for me to help me get through a difficult 30 days. This site is around 20 minutes from USF, Moffitt, VA center, Busch Gardens. I highly recommend these folks for Moffitt patients that need a reasonable way to stay near the center. The drive is very easy and usually on about 18 minutes. Great campground, use Lazydays for coach annual servicing, then go to campground. Very friendly, nice size lots, great pool and hottub. Large and small dogparks, burgers/pub onsite, plus free breakfast and lunch at main facility with free trolley rides We enjoy looking at all the new and used RV's. read more

We have stayed at Lazy Days Resort at least 4 times a year since we bought our RV in 2016. I am disappointed that since it's been bought by a conglomerate it has gone down in amenities that made the resort stand out from the competition. In addition to that, there are problems with some of the facilities. Often the bathrooms/showers are dirty and need repairs like shower heads. The past few times we have been there the spa has been broken. We used to get a paper at our site, now you have to hope there is still one in the paper box at the office. We also appreciated the breakfast and lunch coupons that they discontinued, and the colorful trolley that connected the resort with the sales/service/store facility. The park is nice, grounds are well cared for, and it's close to our grandkids, but we don't like the changes. read more

We stayed at this 'resort' for four nights while attending their New Years Eve event with a Good Sam group that a friend belongs to. The resort area is clean and seems to be fairly well run, most of the employees are friendly and helpful, and the rest rooms and pool area are quite clean. I don't have many issues with the grounds or the employees, but the New Years Eve event was very disappointing. The band, on both the night of the 30th and 31st, played nothing but oldies. True, most of the people are older, but I felt like I was in a nursing home. The original plans were to have the band play until 9, believe it or not, but after they received justifiable complaints, they changed it to midnight. Well,the band was not happy, and it showed. Talk about low energy! Our group couldn't wait for midnight so we could call it a night. Don't think I'll be ringing in any more New Year's at Lazy Days! read more

We stayed two nights. They advertise a $29 special summer rate. We arrived at 1:30 on Friday. They ask if we wanted the food tickets because it was not included in the special. Sure we do. According to the web site that's $10. NOPE now the rate is $39 a night. Except we were to late to get any of the food for Friday. So they tell me that they can't charge me $29 for Friday without Food and $39 for Saturday with. They said they have to charge the same rate. So we ended up paying the extra $10 for nothing. I guess unless you check in at 8:00am on Friday morning everyone that stays a weekend gets charged the extra $10 for Friday without food. Then we get to the campsite and the cable wire is sticking out the side of the connection box. We told them and they said they would move up. We were already set up and had an appointment to make. I ask that they please repair. Didn't happen. At least we were about to get several channels on the antenna. read more

After purchasing our first travel trailer, we stayed one night at this resort. This place is great, it has a huge screened pool with an adorable diner/bar shaped like a RV, a nice playground, excellent laundry facilities, golf cart rental & a shuttle from here to the Lazydays sales facility that houses a big cafeteria style eatery. Right next to the interstate. Clean sites, just need more trees, in my opinion. Stayed five nights have bought three motor homes from them and the campground keeps going downhill they advertise WiFi but you can not get it there tv reception is terrible and there is no more security riding through at night and keeping the noise down the kids around the pool area are wild no supervision at all and a lot of them are not stay in the park. The restaurant is good and the bartenders are awesome they should list the specials and hours and what the ha hour is sorry it used to be a great campground they need a campground manager not a restaurant manager running a campground . read more

We love camping there. It is close to stores if you need supplies. Being there comes in handy if something brakes on your RV and you need a part. Not to mention just minutes to the casino. Our only complaint, on our last trip the WiFi was so weak, you couldn't even sign on it. This is the first time the WIFi has been a problem. read more

Location is great- we went to browse around w our new camper and there are plenty of places to shop for RV needs. The camp itself was a bit tight and lots of kids/dogs so if youre looking for peace and quiet not so much. Well kept and great free breakfast. In s not perfect as the 300 camp spaces are a little close together but where else do you have: Olympic size heated pool, hot tub, enclosed , two restaurants , a Cracker Barrel, 100 bay shop, a complete rv store , gated, a truck stop and nice people working at the office . If you want a place to walk you are free to stroll through the acres of RV's for sale. It's more like an "experience ". Not great internet. Close to Tampa. Yes I would stay again read more

The grounds are very good, the facilities are also good. Their cable TV service was on the fritz and i overheard the counter people saying that it was going to be fixed within the hour, it was not, I tried it again the next day and still out. I never was able to connect to their free Internet. It was in a good Cell area (for T-Mobile) so i was able to use my phone for internet. We stayed there to drop off our Winnebago for service,,,,again! We bought our Winnebago from them 4 years ago and had problems every day since we picked it up. They are very nice up to the day after you complete the purchase. I was expecting better support from the dealer and the manufacturer! read more

Very pleased with this RV Resort! It has everything! We were pleasantly pleased with check in to check out. Very nice. Everything explained easily-access to everything was perfect & even though it is centrally located to all the great places (Busch Gardens/Casino, etc)...you could easily stay all day here in this lovely setting. Have stayed here several times. Usually when doing repairs, but we have also stopped going to or from our home in the keys? We have stayed here to go to the state fair near by and to visit family in the area. It's close to I4 and I75 ,301 and 27. Get pool and onsite restaurant and bar,with good prices and pretty good food! They have also have breakfast and lunch over by the sales/ service center . Sites don't have a lot of between them , but age easy to get in/out of. Busch Gardens near by, beaches not far, lots to do in Tampa and nearby . Staff here and at sales/service are great! Everyone greats you as you are walking around ( and there is a lot to walk around!) More RV's than you can look at in a day,which we like to do! read more

Love this campground! It's right next door to the Lazydays facility (RV Sales, supplies, service). It's very convenient to the I4 as well as all the tourist attractions. It's VERY inexpensive too; we paid $30/night over Memorial Day weekend. There's a nice pool and restaurant/bar right on the premises too. read more

The resort is pretty nice but the sites are small and fairly cramped. The site we were assigned was backed up to the main road so there was a ton of road noise. I may would have given a higher rating if we hadn't had the site next to the road. read more

Unbelievably bad park to stay at now.  I went to book my usual annual stay there after many years, and was informed that the new owners say I can only stay for 2 weeks.  I live 1200 miles away and have always stayed there from January through March.  I'm not driving there for a 2 week stay.  I'm willing to spend $5,000 for my site, plus all of the money I spend in the restaurants and bar over 3 months, another several thousand dollars, and they don't want my money.  The new corporate owners have to be the worst business people I've ever heard of.  And the resort manager's response to my e-mail about it was...let's just say less than cordial.  Yes, she hopes I return, but only on their terms and conditions!  My wishes count for nothing with them, and apparently my money is worthless to them.  How sad, to take a wonderful place like this and turn it upside down. And by the way, apparently there are no activities any more, either. Obviously not interested in accommodating their guests. read more

DANGEROUS DOG HAZARDS - CAUTION ADVISED DUE TO NEGLIGENCE An overly pet friendly RV park. I have no issues with dogs, only the dog owners. Clearly, any dog owner will NEVER pick up their dog poop, providing they clearly know that can get any with it. If they say otherwise, they are obviously lying. When traversing the park to reach the pool and/or rally center, there are NO direct designated paved sidewalks/paved walking paths. Thereby it requires you to pass between numerous rows of RV's. This are all grassed in areas which are infrequently mowed between the RV's. All these grassed areas frequently have DOG POOP scattered throughout, whereby making the RV park a filthy sanitary hazard for walkers to/from their RV's and the Pool, Rally Center/Office complex. During our stay, dog poop was frequently stepped on even though we are specifically watching out for it. But, more importantly, these dog owners frequently leave their dog leash anchors and/or the dog leashes on the grass. Therefore, these items become embedded in the grass which quickly grows, whereby making these items an invisible dangerous hazard. A DANGEROUS INCIDENT OCCURED: In one (1) particular instance while walking from the Pool area to the RV, my right foot was caught by one of these abandoned/invisible/anchored dog leashes, whereby causing me to make a hard fall onto the adjacent pavement. This fall caused numerous skin abrasions, a bloody mess, extreme pain and soreness with numerous black and blue marks. Fortunately, nothing appeared to be broken. BOTTOM LINE: Be very careful. There is a combined negligence issue on the part of the RV park owners/management for the lack of direct safe paths to/from the RV center complex AND on the part of the dog owners that stay at this RV park. If you have to walk at nighttime, you recommend you have use a 500 watt spotlight. OTHERWISE: This is an "EXCELLENT" RV park with no other complaints or issues whatsoever. Great campground. It is laid out in a logical but spaced out manner. We asked to be near a dog walk area and had a space near one on a cul de sac. Couldn't have been placed any better Our neighbors were like most RV neighbors, friendly, and offering advice when asked. I've never seen people more willing to strike up easy going conversations when able. Very close to I4 and I75 and Brandon. Busch Gardens is probably about 20 minutes away. The rec center has a pool table, ping pong tables, bean bag throwing areas, etc. there is a restaurant on site and crackle barrel and bob evans are right around the corner. There is a Lazy J fuel station with separate pumps for trucks and RVs. There is a tampa tribune included with the site price. It's dropped off every morning, including Sunday. On Saturday, there was a local car rally going on in one of the larger parking spaces. Will definitely use it again when over that way. read more

Sites are all large paved full hookups, landscaped and well-maintained. There is plenty to do, especially if you are traveling with children or large groups. There is a pool, recreation room, playground, tennis and pickle ball courts. There is a pub onsite with limited hours. Breakfast and lunch can be incorporated into the daily price of your stay, if desired. The Front Porch is the name of the cafe wich is in the main sales building of the vast area of the Lazy Days dealership. Cracker Barrel restaurant is within the property as well. The location is very convenient off I4, near I75 so tourist attractions are minutes away. Pets are welcome with the usual rules of being a responsible pet owner. There is a very small fenced-in pet run. The only complaint I would mention is the quality of the food at the Front Porch: institutional food. Coffee service area needs cream and/or milk, not powdered chemical creamer, blech! We had to leave a day early due to an approaching storm and the staff politely credited my account with no notice. A decent place, but somewhat overpriced. The workers are great to deal with. Fantastic bar and restaurants on site, and a nice but pricey accessories store, with a Flying J station and store right next door. I'm a social person, so the bar is what makes it worthwhile for me. Wonderful screen enclosed pool and hot tub. 300 sites are rather small and cramped together, and no pull-throughs. If you like organized activities, this probably isn't the place for you, very few--movie once a week in the rally center, music once a week in the bar. One combined tennis/pickleball/basketball court, but no shuffleboard, bocce, mini-golf, horseshoe pits, things you find at other less expensive parks. If you like peace and quiet, probably not the place for you either, they have a company with a very loud power washer that goes around all day 7 days a week washing RVs, but you can't wash your own. Not to mention the dozens of dogs barking much of the day and sometimes into the night; every site can have up to 4 dogs. Bring your own wi-fi, theirs is very spotty. I've adapted to the issues I'm not fond of, the good outweighs the bad for me, so it's a good place for me, but not for everyone. read more

Where to begin. Booked monthly for November to April..charged us daily. Now, double charging to two different of our credit cards. No apologies, rude front office staff and don't ever pay in cash.one if the front office did not post to our receipt, fortunate enough to catch right away and told him he was on camera. Dog park nasty, weeks without dog bags, don't dump dog can, overflowing dumpsters, laundry room floods and drain backs up. So far, days later, no apology for overcharges, no pending refund. Had to notify our banks of fraudulent activity and filing police report per our American Express and Bank request. Wrote emails to general manager, left messages with customer service manager. Very nice rev park, lots of amenities, well cared for, and several dog parks. The only negative is that they should trim the trees along the roads, as my class A rubbed a bunch of branches. Okay is you drive in the middle but when you get within 6-8 feet of curb, you hit overhanging branches. read more

This place is pretty much summed up as s tourist trap. The spaces are cramped together, there is NO parking so you have to pull onto the grass between your sites or park partially on the road, and many spaces are in rows back to back so there's not much privacy. The laundry is expensive, the dog wash is ten bucks, the on site restaurant is overpriced burger and fries. The pool is screened and connected to the restaurant walk-up window where you can order drinks so I see the appeal of that. If you're looking to vacation and relax without being on a budget then this is probably for you. Staff is friendly for sure, trash picked up at your site daily (usually, but if not the birds pick it open), tennis court and playground, good location but not much else going for it. read more
