By the end of her "exploration" she stated we fought a lot.....yes that's why we came....but that there wasn't anything "wrong" and she wouldn't be billing our insurance. We were then also told that IF she had found something wrong, billing our insurance would cause problems later as we would have a "mental health defect". THEN told us that the session would cost $230.00 due immediately. Never was the full session price discussed, She did gave us this list to take home......We already practice everything on this list and discussed that with her prior to her writing it out as a $230 prescription. (Which I changed the verbiage from "rules for fighting" to "ideas for conscious communication" At a time when my family was vulnerable, hurting, and reaching out....she took advantage. Neither one of these covered the provider and question yet I was told she was under both initially and in fact she was under neither. I won't mention the provider's name because this is not her fault but is seriously problematic.
