First of all, if you're looking for hard-to-find-elsewhere Spravato treatments in the So Cal Beach Cities area, this is your place to call first. Alexis F. from Progeny went out of her way consistently and (very much) professionally to guide me through the complex process it takes to get this type of depression treatment, especially via Medi-Cal. Dr. Maria A. worked quite diligently and very kindly in guiding me through every medical-related process of using Spravato, and was on-hand onsite at a moment's notice during my treatments for any questions I had about drug interactions. Christine, the Spravato technician who couldn't have been nicer, did a fantastic job with guiding me through my first few sessions. Other places I'd tried in the area, because Spravato requires a longer-than-usual coordination process between that drug's manufacturer, a specialty pharmacy, and the provider's office, it literally took a few months for them to make some progress in being cleared for treatment; with Alexis at Long Beach Progeny, it was 100% accomplished in just a few weeks (and even then, most of the delay was due some odd insurance issues at my end of things). I'll write a follow-up once I've finished the entire treatment process. For now, however, I give them my strongest recommendation, especially for Medi-Cal patients like I am who had problems finding any Spravato coverage/treatment options--covering both the drug and the post-treatment observation periods--anywhere in L.A./the O.C. read more

I was scheduled at this clinic about a week ago. They waited until today the day before my appointment to cancel on me. As I first made the appointment I expressed how frustrated I was that every time I book an appointment through my insurance for a therapist the dam doctor leaves or I get cancelled on. I was not told of my cancellation until last minute and it really makes it hard for me to get the care I needed. I do not recommend this place at all. The lady on the phone told me that they found out the doctor that I was scheduled with left yesterday. They did not give me any time to reschedule for myself and did not seem to care. I started seeing Michelle Nguyen two and a half years ago and in that time she has helped me tremendously with my mental health. In August 2025, I noticed that the depression medication I had been taking for several years was not working as well as it once had. Because I was already on the higher dose of that medication, Michelle suggested I try a new treatment that helps people who suffer from depression called, Spravato.
