This LCBO is a small building located right beside a convenience store just outside of the Pointe-au-Baril Archipelago, and just a couple minutes away from Sturgeon Bay Park. My camping group and I made this a favored destination over the three days we were in the area, largely due to the deceptively-diverse amount of stock at the place. We picked up several bottles of rum and spirits to share between us, and the store had a surprising number of choices. (We ended up settling for Kraken rum - that stuff sneaks up on you.) The store also had a vintage cabinet and a fair amount of wines to choose from. The employees were helpful and gave us some helpful recommendations. This is exactly the kind of service and offering I'd expect from a far-out-of-the-way location. While it may not be as varied as some of the locations in Southern Ontario, this LCBO is undeniably convenient and had helpful and fast service. The building that looks like a converted home is just the icing on the cake. Well worth a look if you're up in the area.

Perfect if you didn't feel like waiting in a huge Friday night line up in the city and can manage one evening at the cottage without drinking. There's an are of the store where they accept returns, and they do offer a reasonable selection of beers - as cheaply as $1.45 per can. However, I discovered that the beer store does not carry my favourite beer - Newcastle Brown - and the clerk suggested that I try the LCBO! It looks to me that this location is brand new or close to it, super spacious and bright - seemed to offer anything a person could want in terms of alcohol. They also have a large craft beer selection - epic! Was able to find everything I was looking for plus a couple of beer "goodies" for my fiance to take back home to Toronto.
