This store is one of those locations where you go in, order and they roll it our to ya via the rails. Good selection considering such a small store front. Sometimes, it gets super slow. 2 counters on the left side and 1 on the right. The right side is mostly used for returns, but more often than not, only 1 cash counter is operational!! WHY?!? Busy on the weekends and ridiculously congested before a long weekend. (Is this the only Beer Store in 5 mile radius?) Staff? Not the friendliest of the bunch, but they get the job done and I can get out with my ice cold 24s!! Single cans are sold here too for you single can lovers! We found out the card was redeemed in Toronto, yet my son was in Ottawa! I called and explained what happened and the person I spoke to said that someone would get back to me. I wasn't hopeful. But then, I got an email from Frank Perry at The Beer Store in Mississauga saying they would be reimbursing us for the gift card - and giving us an extra $10 for the trouble of having to call in!! Apparently, they have had some trouble with people hacking into their gift card system, so I guess we weren't the only one they heard from. I was so happy with the good customer service. Gift cards are like cash and they might have just told us we were out of luck, but to my surprise, they believed us and we got our money back! Thanks so much, Frank!

There is also a separate section at the back with Kosher products. Curiously, this is the only LCBO I been to that carries Great Wall Cabernet Sauvignon. Not that I am too anxious in spending $16 on a bottle of Made In China red. The Vintage section has way better and interesting collection!

Staff was very helpful and attentive when I had trouble finding something. It wasn't in the store, so they looked it up on their device & found out that LCBO doesn't carry the product at all. That was good to know. Given the store's small size, it's still pretty good. It has a reasonable selection & I was able to buy something else instead.

Anyways the cashier said I was disrespectful (I was stunned) left wanting to speak to the manager but had work in the next hour so couldn't stay. Please LCBO don't ever treat your customers the way I was treated today. Left the store feeling like garbage. THAT'S NOT VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Sobr Market, located at the corner of RIchmond and Maud, is Toronto's largest bottle shop selling…read morenon-alcoholic wines, beers, and spirits. The old space may look familiar since the space used to be where Beatrice Society was. Consisting of 2 floors, Sobr Market has a wide variety of non-alcoholic options (including de-alcoholized wines, flavoured sodas, etc.) that recently opened in late April. I stopped by Sobr Market the day they opened to the public and was amazed at the great selection they have. The only thing is that...who would have thought...that non-alcoholic options can get quite pricey. I did see some brands I am familiar with but there were many other brands to try as well. Staff were attentive and friendly during my visit, asking if I needed any assistance or help. I did purchase a few cans of de-alcoholized wine and some sparkling water as well. Good option for those who are trying to cut down alcohol or don't try at all!

Because that means when I want to try one or two things, there are stores like this that I can walk through. I'm not sure how big the market is, and if retail space can sustain places like this, but I'm glad that they are currently being sustained. It's worth checking out, for sure.
