They have to walk to lunch in lines like kindergarteners and they don't get to choose where they sit. The amount of homework is a problem too. Teachers will give my kid homework that takes them half an out to do. I have no time to hang out with my kid anymore because they spend all after school time on homework. But this school is one of the safest around. They have zero tolerance for any sort of bulling and there are almost no fights. I almost sent my kid to John Hopkins Middle School, but then I heard about all the fights. This school is very safe, other than the multiple bomb and shooter threats they got one month and the fire last year. But luckily my kid is going to highschool next year so I don't have to worry.

One teacher in particular, not to throw anybody under the bus (Chenna Reddy Chireddy), my daughters math teacher, has been a horrible teacher, he does not know what he's talking about, and isn't the brightest. My daughter always comes home talking about how she learned nothing in math since he's gotten hired, my son is also attending the school next year and i'm very worried for his future. Both my kids are very bright with a lot going for them. I wouldn't want this to jeopardize their performance.

I've never been happier. My daughter started her 3rd Grade year at St. Paul and was the "new kid"…read moreas she puts it. We were both quickly embraced into the community of the school. The families and staff are extremely supportive, warm and genuinely friendly. I love the enrichment offered to Elementary students with Technology, Spanish, Art, Music, PE, Religion, Library and the Accelerated Learning Program as additions to the regular school day for students prior to Middle School. There are many wonderful opportunities for enrichment after school as well such as Drama Club, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Mad Science and several team sport choices. The small community helps your child achieve mastery quickly and feel confident in their environment. The school truly has the recipe for emotional and academic success for children. You won't find a better principal anywhere and the teachers fabulous! The school itself is beautiful and new, there are international gardens throughout the campus that are very well maintained. Classical music plays in the walkways for the children to enjoy as they walk from class to class. It's beautiful. Sanderlin will be THE school once people truly discover it and learn about it.
