First let us say that Yelp does not show all the reviews that are left for any business UNLESS you pay them to advertise with them. This is called review blackmail and we will not succumb to paying them for advertising costs just so we can only have the good reviews shown. There is a link that is grayed out towards the bottom of the reviews that says "10 other reviews that are not currently recommneded". Why? Those are some our most amazing reviews. We called Yelp, we wrote to them, we have done everything possible to get those excellent reviews shown but Yelp told us that without paying for advertising with them, they will not show them. We are very proud of our school and what we do for the children that are entrusted in our care. We take early education and nurturing care very seriously and do not take the negative comments left on Yelp lightly. We would like to respond to Ashish K & Vidya S (who are both from the same family). Ashish K and Vidya S are parents to a wonderful little girl, but the mother was very much against enrolling her daughter in preschool and wanted to stay home with her daughter and her husband was against it. The mother complained to the father continuously to be able to justify staying home with her daughter. The father finally succumbed to the mother's wishes and believed every complaint the mother made about our school (of course he trusts his wife as any good husband would). They threatened us with a negative online review if we didn't refund all of their money to them dating back to the first day of enrollment (4 months of tuition). They told us that they own a local business and they know how online reviews work and how damaging they can be. We did not give into the threat and did not refund their tuition as demanded. They went online and left terrible reviews for us that were completely false and slanderous. To respond to Toddler M: She is a mother who had a toddler enrolled with us that had severe biting and hitting behaviors that jeopardized the safety of the other children in the classroom. We had meetings with the parents, we brought in Early Learning Coalition services to really try and help the child by team working with the parents and our staff to work together cohesively at school and at home with trying to change theses behaviors with very positive reinforcement and methods that are developed by highly trained and degreed educators and child psychologists specializing in character development programs. The parents brought in the aunt, who was an educator for many years. She agreed with us that we had done everything possible to help the child and the parents still did not want to accept and try to change their child's behavior. The parents did not want to accept that their child was violent in the classroom environment to the point where other parents demanded that this child be disenrolled or they were going to leave because they were beyond upset that their children were allowed to be abused by this child. This was literally a case of child on child violence and we had every incident report, behavior charting/documentation that was required by all agencies involved. After several meetings and services that were brought in to help this child in every way possible, the parents decided to enroll their child at a local Montessori school and left us with a very high tuition balance that we forgave as gesture of good will. Montessori has a classroom size of about 3 children per teacher, which is exactly what this child needed and we are the ones who recommended this type of environment for him. We were satisfied that we did all we could and went above and beyond to help this child and to correct the behaviors before they started elementary school without being labeled, but the parents would not work with us. And to respond to their claim of the turnover in the classroom...we literally had 1 assistant teacher leave due to wanting to further her education by going back to school full time. We supported her decision and wished her all the best. There were high chairs in the classroom because that is what is appropriate for a 1 year old to sit in while eating. They are used for eating only and there is one for every child for meals. When we had issues with the child biting and hitting throughout the day to an excessive point, we called the parents to come pick up the child for the day because we could not allow it to continue. Frankly, we allowed this child to remain in our care for far too long and dealt with child on child violence that we had to stop. We involved every service possible and they could not help because the parents did not want to receive the help. We love the children in our school and it not fair to allow children to be abused by other children just because they are toddlers. At the end of the day, we are responsible for the safety of every child in our care. read more

Jenna S. forgets that other people have right to hold their opinion based on their experience. I can see her writing counter comments to every negative reviewer. And hopefully she will call or threaten to sue or request to remove it. I have her emails. After reading it I am genuinely feeling we made huge mistake to not complain to their licensing authority which everyone suggested. Like any other kids parent, we know our child better than her. What hurts me the most is I chose them reading the nice reviews and now she writes that I did not want to send her to school.. I am still wondering where from she imagines?? We never asked for any refund etc.. she is a bunch of lie... nor do we have any business. she very well elaborated all negative activity she and her husband did to us just that she replaced "themselves" with "us" in the story. Sadly my daughter had "abuse" in their daycare. And multiple times she faced accidents like tongue bleeds, falling off slide and teacher not noticing while she cried, a child spitting in her mouth and once someone hits her head. All this incidents were confirmed by her teacher too and so she needs not "explain" more!! After complain of these incidents her class teacher slapped her twice. It is illegal?? They did nothing to warn her teacher rather called us my husbands office to remove the review or they will sue us. I still have guilty conscious and blame myself for choosing them for my daughter. But I felt blessed that she did experience right schools later like Plato Academy. We asked for a CCTV footage but they could not provide us. And now she is "making stories to defend their misbehaves rather than improving or apologizing. I consulted the police dept and attorney after their call and they suggested to file a "harassment" case for them. She writes positive feedback for the daycare "herself" and evidently anyone reading them will realize it. I strongly recommend Plato Academy Charter school and Main street early learning center, dunedin day care where my daughter went and they both were genuinely great experience. 5/5 for both. There was not a single complain. I m feeling depressed to read her fake story and bunch of lies.. cant understand what values she will give to kids about "truthfulness". This is actually depressing to remember all the sour experiences my daughter and we faced a yr back. read more

This is a great school, my daughter is 3 years old and has come so far out of her shell since starting here. The staff is wonderful. Her teachers are easy to approach always answer my questions communicate with me about how my child's day was and what they learned. They work with me to help improve my child's behavior and learning at home by telling me what they do in the classroom and how I can use it at home. My daughter is always happy to tell me about her day and all of her friends at school. A clean and safe environment and security is not a problem here, never. The teachers are always smiling and are so nice and they are very friendly to each other and help each other out like a team. And if you have seen any of the other child care places in the area, you would know that this school is the best one out there. I was told about this school from a friend of mine and her children have been going there for 2 years and she is very happy, or else she wouldn't have sent me there. When I first went into this school, I was disappointed that they had a long waiting list. After a couple of weeks being put on the waiting list, they called me and told me they had an opening and I felt like I had won the lottery. And ever since, it's been great. There are so many activities for the kids and fun days planned for them that it makes me wish I could have had this same experience when I was in school. I volunteer in the class whenever I can just so I can be a part of the fun. My child is so happy to head off to school each day and I'm thrilled with how much she is learning, I would recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to learn as much as possible while having as much fun as possible. read more

I have 2 children that have attended Bright Beginnings. They were both originally at another preschool that we were very happy with, but due to relocating we were forced to find a new school for the both of them. We didn't think that it would be possible to find a school that we were as comfortable with and that our children would be as happy at, then we found Bright Beginnings. I can't say enough about this school. From when we first toured the school until our youngest child graduated VPK, this school has exceeded our expectations. Their teaching staff is well trained and educated in all areas from how to creatively implement their daily curriculum to how to handle challenging behaviors. Both of my children learned so much during their time there, and when our daughter began kindergarten her teacher was immediately amazed at how advanced she was in reading as well as math. This school is very clean and the security is over the top - cameras in all classrooms, special keys to not only enter the building but to also go back into the hallway where all of the classrooms are. This school is always doing fun events and activities and parents are always welcome to attend. My children always looked forward to going to school and were even sometimes disappointed throughout the weekend when it wasn't a school day. If you are looking for not only a quality child care experience, but a preschool home for your child, I strongly encourage you to stop in and check it out. My daughter has attended this preschool program for 2 years now. We've been really happy with Bright Beginnings. I don't speak Spanish or know sign language, but my daughter does thanks to her teachers and she is only 3 years old! She happily sings songs in Spanish and talks to herself in Spanish when she plays. She has also been developing a great deal socially and emotionally to be a kind and sharing girl, which makes me very happy. She used to get upset with her cousins and neighborhood children when they came over to our house and played with her toys, but now she is much better at sharing. At school the other day she was playing playdough with some other children and another child came up to them and wanted to play but there was none left. She pulled up a seat for him and gave him half her playdough, I was really proud. She has grown not just intellectually, but also socially and emotionally since she has attended this school (she started at a year old here). The teachers pay a lot of attention to this and use teachable moments to demonstrate manners and good character when opportunities arise. They teach good behavior in a child led way, where the kids discuss how they feel about certain things and brainstorm appropriate responses. We went to several child care places in Dunedin, Clearwater and Palm Harbor before deciding on Bright Beginnings. Once you see all the other places out there, you will see that this place is the nicest in the area. It feels like home when you walk in the front doors and every one is always smiling and happy. It feels different, like brighter and happier than any other school we toured. Our son goes to this school and he is very happy there. He used to go to another school in the area, and he would hide and cry every morning when it was time to leave the house. Now when it is time to leave, he is all smiles. When we enter the school, he hardly says goodbye before running right into his classroom. What I particularly like about the Bright Beginnings is that everyone is a team and management is there for us, something that few other daycare do. My son has been there for 2 years now and we are excited for him to graduate VPK with all of his friends he's made since he's been there. He seems to learn something new every day and is very happy. Two of my grandsons attend Bright Beginnings and because of that I have spent many hours with the staff and teachers. I will try to make this brief but with my background and passion for the level of service Bright Beginnings is providing it will be difficult. My degree is in Early Childhood Education with 15 years in the field, 5 years in the Lab school of a college in the Chicago area and 10 years at one of the top centers in Pinellas County. I know from what I speak. Children get bruises in their everyday activities-they live with wild abandon! Anyone who knows a child knows that they can be prodded with leading questions to confirm the scenario that the interviewer is seeking. There are plenty of examples in history to prove this and confirm the falsehood. I will not give more print space than this to the accusations of the unhappy writer. I merely want to reaffirm what thousands already know and do not need to list the attributes or list the reasons why. Bright Beginnings does, on a daily basis, provide outstanding child care! I have a 1yr old and 4yr old that attend this preschool and they are learning more than my other friend s children that go to a nearby preschool. I have referred all my friends with children to Bright Beginnings and only a few have made it in because they have a waiting list, but it s definitely worth the wait! My children know basic sign language and spanish and so much more. This school believes in giving preschoolers a good education. Their website is outstanding but it doesn't do the physical preschool justice. You must see this school in person to get a true understanding of the ammenities it offers. The classrooms are full of life (lots of rich color and fun murals, toys and resources), the playground is big and shaded like a park and their indoor treehouse is nothing like I've ever seen in a preschool before. I'm so happy we get to have our son spending his days at Bright Beginnings. His communication and social skills have grown immensely since enrolling in January and he's such a happy little kid there. Having come from an in-home daycare, I was concerned at first about the number of kids in his class, but I have been really pleased with the care and attention our son gets from his teachers. I'm always able to check in with them whenever I need to, and they take the time to talk to me about my kiddo's development--they really know and understand him. I also LOVE being able to see the Facebook pictures of the kids throughout the day. The facility is kid-friendly, clean, inviting, and is like a second home for our son. We adore bright beginnings. They're kind to worried parents who call every day (me..) and they're so welcoming! My daughter can't wait to get out of the car every day and run inside. All the staff know her name and treat her as if she's one of their own. I cannot praise this school enough for all they've done for my daughter in really helping her blossom at such a young age! The facility is always clean and they try and keep germs at a minimum (which is much more than I can say for others in the area). They also have a mulch free, covered area (that has misters) for the younger kids to play! Such a brilliant and thoughtful thing that I haven't seen others in the area have either! We LOVE this school! We had an amazing start in the 2s room with Miss Lindsey. We would run out of room writing why we loved her and what an impact she had on our little. It was such a smooth transition into school and we are beyond grateful. Now in the 3s we adore Ms. Paige, Miss Mia, and Ms. Sam. These ladies pour so much love into the kiddos. As a teacher myself, I'm so proud of the academic growth our little has made, the love of school developed, and the strong relationships built in the past year. Ms. Jenna has the biggest heart and genuinely cares for the families. It's such an amazing feeling when so many staff members know each kiddo by name. I found Bright Beginnings through a referral made to me on the Facebook "The Dunedin Moms Group". I went in for a tour a few years ago and it is a warm and inviting place with a very happy vibe. I had read some previous referrals here on Yelp and I spoke to the director of the school who addressed everything with me and calmed any worries I had. My Son hates it like anything. He started this year and everyday he cried. Someone scratched his face. His teacher did not change his diapers and he had rashes all over. He was itchy.
