    Hummus plate

Did some shopping in Scottsdale and then wanted a glass of wine. Saw the LDV Winery tasting room and thought we'd give it a try. We sat on the patio. The tasting menu has many options. You can do a flight of white or reds or combinations. You can also purchase glasses of wine. They were very nice and let me substitute one of the wines I wanted to try that was not in the tasting flight. There is also a nice menu of snacks such as cheese board, charcuterie board, nuts, olives and we did the hummus plate which included olives, pita bread and great hummus. They also have a great wine club you can join. You can then get $5 glasses of wine when you stop in. I'm a California girl and finding good whites in Arizona has been hard but the viognes at this winery are all wonderful. Cheryl, our wait person was so sweet So happy we found this great gem.

Everything about this place was great! I called in to make a reservation for Mother's Day. My party was small and they had originally told me that I could just come on in but I wanted to make sure we had space since it was mother's day and they let me make that reservation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we got there, there was a space ready for us and I was able to surprise my mom with something she loved, wine and a charcuterie board with all her boys.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All wine is local to Arizona and from what everyone told me tasted great. Even my husband, who doesn't drink wine, found a great wine he loved and had a couple glasses too. They even had drinks for non drinkers or dd's which was nice for them (me that day). The charcuterie board tasted so good and that pesto and wine fig jam (chefs kiss). I want that stuff on everything! In the end, everyone was happy and wanting to come down to try more wines and just chill! Thank you LDV Winery team for helping my Mom have a good Mother's Day! Can't wait to stop by again!

This is such a cute little tasting room! Victor was the best!! He talked to us about where the wine came from, sites to see while we were in town, and Scottsdale in general. He made us feel so welcomed and connected with our group seamlessly. As for the wine, we got the LDV flight. I was leaning toward the light flight but followed suit at his recommendation and that was a great call! I usually really like viognier but found that it was my least favorite of the flight. The reds offered were more my speed. The location of LDV made for great people watching while also being comfortably in the shade on a busy corner. We could see the party buses, animal scooters, and even a dog in a backpack on a motorcycle. Great experience

We had a great time at LDV Winery. We did a flight tasting and were able to sit comfortably and chat with other people in the establishment. The wines were delish. The location was cute and cozy, with lots of windows. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday while in Arizona!

I don't know if it was me being tired or overly stuffed from a late lunch but I wasn't a fan of any of these wines. I had the LDV tasting of their top 4 wines. First was The Sky Island Viognier and it was so oxidized I could barely get it down. The next 3 got slightly better with each one, but not by much. Sad because I specifically planned to stop here on my trip because it looked so good online. The young man who was working was very pleasant and friendly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the location is very nice, great outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was a lovely day out so an outside patio for some wine tasting was a must do. There are a few options for wine tasting in the area, but this location was perfect as it is a quick stroll from fashion square and all of the cute shops lining the streets of old town. The staff were all very sweet and checked in on us often. As expected for old town Scottsdale there were also many parties rolling by on the champagne train and party bikes which made the experience fun.

Lisa did a 4 wine tasting. My flight included the rhyolite, rose grenade, Syrah, and petit Syrah. All the wines were easy drinking and not super oaky. A nice patio area with the live music carrying over from the nearby square. The staff here were super nice, and it seemed like a popular place for a girls' day out. They even had some nifty holders to help them bring out the flights. It's good to try what Arizona has to offer. Would like to see then use real glasses for water instead of single use cups as they are using glassware for the wine anyway.

I was in town for a girls trip/reunion and we did a mini wine tour in old town Scottsdale. LDV was our first stop. The visit was well worth it. Upon arrival we were immediately seated in a cozy comfy area that provided us with some privacy . We opted to do some tastings and Deanna was able to mix & match the tastings to everyone's liking. We liked their wine choices (a few of us shipped some home home) and the hospitality. This is a must if you're ever in the area.

They only had one passport left, so luckily I was able to start the challenge. They have several different flights, more than just your standard red or white, including one where they will customize the flight based on your preferences. Pretty awesome and not something I see at a lot of wineries. All of the wines we sampled were solid. I'd return! Now I just need to complete the Wine Walk. The school has its own way of doing things. Please be patient with them, they are students. For example they will not seat incomplete parties. You can be less patient with established restaurants that do the same things. The service is fine the students personable. Despite our group ordering almost one of everything, the execution was timely. No one complained that any of it was bad. We were served, without choice a seared Tuna appetizer. Some in our party did not care for anything close to raw, and were unhappy. Soup followed, of which the Gazpacho, (a cold soup) was excellent. They served a Pasta dish of bucatini: with heavy cream and panchetta. It was done to perfection, with the pasta being almost aldente and the pancetta lightly browned on one side. Other selections were chicken, short ribs and salmon. Prices varied but not very much. Expect to pay $30 plus tip and drink. Some items were a little less. The meal included a dessert of German Chocolate cake, which was thick and dark, permeated by coconut and abounded with a thick frosting. Coffee is served on request. What's served is what I call "ingredients food": it's flavor come from the ingredients themselves. Little technique is required. although technique was required for the Gazpacho. Salmon or Short ribs need steady cooking, and they had no adornments. You must know how to cook them. The how is simple, because baking is the one method. This is a really good place to go.
