She was fast to follow, but super kind and detailed with her instructions. This is my third class here and I will 100% be returning. This is such a fun indoor activity to do to beat the heat and let your creative spirit take over. I am also in a pickleball phase so the cookies were decorated were literally perfect. We got 5 cookies and they each were super tasty once I got to try one after they fully dried. You can buy drinks during the class, but we didn't. I love the community at this place and how everyone sits around each other so you can hype each other up as you go. Check it out if you've been wanting to take a class!

But It was Way Too hard & serious & too much homework, really burned my kids out. The classrooms have 2 teachers so it's non stop emails and conferences. Also a Hard school to attend for working parents. I want communication but it's too much here. Maybe it's because my kids were behind the other kids that have been here since kinder? It just felt like they wanted us to leave. It's Not a very loving or fun school either. More like a school for Type A kids & super advanced kids that like to study all day. The teachers are exceptional, the curriculum is rich, and the specials program (Spanish, music, art, PE) help form well-rounded kids. It seemed as if we were invisible. I asked for help again and again, but as long as they were not failing a class already they were "doing great", brushing aside all of the very real events occurring. We have attended some very "highly rated" schools over three states, including AZ. AZ NSAA has been life changing and maybe even saving. I highly recommend this school for any child. The 'one size fits all' with standardized tests to qualify and quantify, transactional education systems are a societal failure. Of which, over all, AZ NSAA is circumventing. I very much appreciate and applaud this school for their seeming intention and approach to being a supportive place for our children to experience education, community and themselves.

She has suppressed countless extremely dangerous issues, such as one specific student who I will not name. He is an active danger to literally everyone. Everyone. This student is violent, abusive, and I find myself scared of my own safety when I'm around him. One of my closest friends was one of his victims. She is one of the strongest girls I know; it makes me sick when I think about how he violated her, stripping her of all autonomy. There are several other problems -- cough cough, Mrs. Parker -- cough cough. Yeesh. NSAA is seriously a wonderful school, but I am scared for my life most days.

In 4th and 5th, he continued to struggle to fit into the box imposed by the traditional classroom. We discovered Lumos before he entered 6th grade and it's the best choice we ever made. He is like a different kid and has blossomed over the last few years, finally getting good grades, feeling empowered to be himself, and even confidently performing on stage! I came in feeling completely out of my comfort zone, but she created such a welcoming and supportive environment that I quickly felt at ease. What makes Ceri so special is not just her talent, but the way she inspires confidence and creativity in others. She has reawakened a creative side of me that I thought I had lost, and I'm so grateful for that.
