    Cold short ribs

Honestly, we were very disappointed in both the food and the service and the restaurant was basically empty. The French onion soup was delivered cold as were the short ribs. For the prices this is just unacceptable. In addition, their American Express machine was not working so we had to use a different card. I visited this restaurant many times in the 1990s when it was new but it had opened and closed, and likely changed hands many times since then. I wanted to give the new ownership a chance, but for me they failed miserably and I will not return. Le Bistro will really need to improve its game if it wants to compete with the many fantastic restaurants in Puerto Vallarta.

Last night had an 8:30 reservation. Restaurant was not busy when we arrived and very helpful with one member of our foursome that needed direction with the accessible entrance. Live music was playing when we arrived. Great drink options and had a great glass of sangria. The food options were plentiful. So many options for appetizers and entrees. Ended up ordering the mango stone crab salad and the lobster potstickers as my entree. Both were appetizers but both sounded so wonderful. Both equally delicious. Mango Crab salad could definitely be shared. Flavors for the lobster potstickers was incredible. Finished with the apple tart served with vanilla ice cream. A wonderful dinner, well paced in a beautiful serene setting. A very special experience.

We travel to pv 2-3 times a year and we've had good food but le bistro was really incredible the food was great but I must say the service was far above my expectations. Jacob and Michael were working lunch and they were awesome very on top of it. Polite, professional but still themselves and very funny. Good job guys all your recommendations were a hit.

Le Bistro in Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful dining experience. The crab-stuffed fish of the day was absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked and full of rich, delicious flavor. Their butter croissants were also delicious, warm, and irresistible. On Friday night, the live music set the tone beautifully, adding to the relaxed and elegant ambiance. A fantastic spot for a memorable evening with great food and atmosphere.

Absolutely blown away by this place. Amazing service from the start with a cold towel to cool yourself down. Drinks are amazing and the food is amazing. The ambiance if perfect right off the water and you can even spot iguanas in the trees if you look hard enough. Can't wait to come back to this.

This is a hidden jewel. We happened upon it while taking a stroll. Premium service from the manager, Bruno. Loads of ambience, good food, live entertainment, and it wasn't terribly expensive. Brunch was especially satisfying. We returned several times during our visit. It is highly recommended!

Filet mignon which was barely bigger than my fork...

We wanted a nice meal in a great location and the scenery did not disappoint. The service was excellent and even though the river wasn't flowing due to dry conditions the view was nice. To complaints from our party was that the lemon drop martini contained little to know alcohol and despite being a bistro, they only had one type of steak available, which was filet mignon. I really get a taste or hunger for meat but tonight I did, and was disappointed that the portion was so small. The total Bill for three people without tip was 200 USD and that did not food desserts..

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

You'll find people engaged in all sorts of activities ....eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing. Andale is the place to have a great time. Today, for some reason, the restaurants and bars on the street seemed less crowded. It was a Wednesday night when we finally stepped foot into Andale's. We ordered margaritas, shots of anejo tequila, and a beverage; we had already had dinner elsewhere. The DJ was playing a mix of 90s R&B, reggaeton, country, and pop music, and the whistle blowing from the staff added to the lively and exciting atmosphere. I must admit, though, the loud whistle blowing now and then annoyed me, I managed to drown it out somehow. If you plan to visit Andale, expect fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of staff ready to serve you.

The restaurant itself was pleasant. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was lively, and it was a comfortable place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a meal. For visitors spending a few hours in town, it's an easy and convenient option. That said, after the meal, I felt the restaurant's biggest strengths were its location and atmosphere rather than the food itself. I specifically ordered the Chile en Nogada, which is considered one of their signature dishes. Presentation was beautiful: a large poblano pepper covered in a rich walnut sauce and topped with pomegranate seeds. It certainly looked impressive when it arrived at the table. The flavor, however, was not what I expected. The pepper was very soft and mild, with no heat at all. The filling combined meat, fruit, and spices, giving it a noticeable sweetness. The walnut sauce was thick, creamy, and nutty, but also surprisingly sweet. When everything came together in one bite, I tasted sweetness, savoriness, nuttiness, and the flavor of the pepper all at once. I can appreciate the complexity and understand why this dish is considered a traditional classic, but personally I struggled with the combination. As the meal went on, the sweetness became more prominent, and the dish started to feel like something caught between an entrée and a dessert. It wasn't bad--it just wasn't something I would order again. We also tried a few other Mexican dishes during the meal. They were perfectly acceptable, but nothing really stood out. The overall food quality felt average: not disappointing, but not memorable either. Throughout the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was a restaurant designed primarily for visitors. The menu, atmosphere, and clientele all felt very tourist-oriented. For travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to eat, that may be exactly what they're looking for. But for those hoping to discover exceptional Mexican cuisine, I think there are probably better options in Puerto Vallarta.
