Found this place via drive-by on our way to a festival in town, and their overall décor (sign, storefront, garden, artwork) caught my eye. I have a theory that a well kept outside is a reasonably good predictor of what we'll find inside for service and food. We showed up on a Saturday around 12:15p - it was crowded, but there were 2 or three tables left for a twosome and we were seated and given menus. These were in French only (it's Quebec!), so it took us a bit longer to make a choice than usual. (I'm thankful for translator apps on smart phones - there were a few words we needed help with.) The waitresses were wonderful - and busy. We did have a bit of a wait to order - and people were lining up outside. (They could use a bus boy on a busy day so the waitresses can take orders and get tables turned, instead of clearing tables!) Décor inside was simple and cute - wood paneling (not the ugly kind), simple curtains, tan table clothes with kraft paper to cover the tables with automobile themed art on the walls. We ordered the Brie appetizer, and Campinard pizza (with the 'red' beer. (We never did figure out what beer it actually was, but it was delicious, and perfect with the pizza.) The appetizer was great - I truly enjoyed it - but the pizza was stunning! Quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had. (There's a pizza joint in Michigan that would give this pizza a run for its money.) It was composed of bacon, olives and goat cheese. We had already enjoyed a beautiful drive thru the country, a great festival visit - and now a perfect lunch to top it all off. A good day in my book! Would I return: Yes. Already have them in our plan for next year's festival. :-) Woudl I recommend: Yes

Cheesy pizza with spicy Italian sausages Can I order one slice everyday?

Disclaimer: I am not giving this place high points because ~Why why why do they not have an English menu?~ So, I went here last weekend with the husband and we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit, the Italian sausage pizza we got was juicy, cheesy and cooked to perfection. I ordered a French onion soup as well which was absolutely divine. But we were rather put off by the fact that they didn't have an English menu, didn't understand few things we wanted and were a bit rude around closing time. I did enjoy the food, but the service wasn't too great and I highly doubt I would go there again. Also the music, ambience and lighting were all too contrasting. Good food, mediocre restaurant

Amazing food, surprisingly affordable price and awesome staff!! We truly enjoyed every bite and…read moreleft so happy. Three of us got Brie casserole and onion soup as appetizers and Duck leg confit and Bison steak. The taste was a pure blessing. Our absolute fav was Brie casserole. The staff were incredibly nice too- if you're a visible miniority you'd know that you sometimes experience a passive racism, but I truly felt welcomed and taken care of by the staff. Restaurant was quiet and beautiful too. Additionally I've personally always found French food's portion small in Toronto and Paris, but this place surprised me!!! Each meal came with good portion of salad and fries and the price was really reasonable, trust me. I feel like I'm writing so much to make it feel like its a paid review but we paid with our own credit cards.

We showed up for our reservation an hour early hoping to get a table since we were hungry. The hostess warmly greeted us & got us a table quite promptly even though the place was pretty full. Our server was so kind to offer and try to translate the 3 course menu which was posted on a board attached to the wall. She did a wonderful job & we appreciated her attempt. My husband ordered the steak frites and I had the bison flank steak. We both asked for it to be done medium rare & the temperature came out perfectly. The creamy shallot sauce that came with both dishes was a big hit! Good enough to be bottled. The rebellion blue cheese on the bison steak added a nice richness to this dish but was not heavy or overpowering. The quartered potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Stella beer my husband ordered was beautifully poured with a good amount of head & from a clean tap. The ambiance of the place was just right. Lively but not too loud. We came back the next day for their wood fire pizza. We weren't a fan of this as our preference is Neapolitan style but we were impressed as this the only place that served our first slice to us on our plate. It was a nice touch! I also had their French onion soup as a starter and it was sooooooo good. We would definitely come back here again & would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food and amazing service.
