I really like going to this small, neighborhood flower shop. It's nothing fancy, but the woman working there is very friendly and nice, and they usually have a more than adequate selection of beautiful flowers. Which makes me sad to leave this review... The issue I've had here is the flowers I've gotten from them typically don't last. The most recent bouquet was stunning, but started wilting after only 2 days! And by day 3 it looked quite sad :( This has now happened multiple times with them. I realize flowers are a perishable item and I am familiar with proper care. I don't have this problem with flowers from other shops, and often have flowers from elsewhere that look decent for multiple weeks! If you couple this issue with the fact that flowers (like everything else now) are just crazy expensive, it makes it even more disappointing. Quite the opposite you're hoping for when the sole purpose of getting them is to bring joy. I've also gotten flowers from here as a gift for others and they had the same problem with them. I called Alfredo's Flowers and was greeted by Isabel (who honestly sounds like a child) and she said "thank you for calling Blue Eyes Flowers" she confirmed that the company's name had changed. (they still have not updated Yelp) I inquired about ordering 6 bouquets of flowers for next day delivery. She said it was possible and handed the phone to another person to take my order. I was ordering these flowers for associates at my job. I needed the flowers delivered by 10am. I placed the order and asked the rep. if I could call in the next day @ 8:30 Am to make the payment and she said that would be fine. Order confirmed, right? Wrong!! I was called back about 20 min later and informed that the owner walked in and discovered my order had not been paid for so i was to be informed that the order would not be processed b/c of it. Makes total sense to me! so we came to the agreement that if i called in at 8:30am with the payment the flowers would still be delivered by 10am! I DOUBLE CONFIRMED EVERY SINGLE DETAIL WITH THIS REP. I was assured there would not be an issue and that they were well staffed to accommodate me. I called in at 8:30AM with the payment info. Isabel answered the phone, I introduced myself and then she said that the credit card payment would NOT be accepted over the phone and that I needed to be at the flower shop to process the payment. I informed her that i was assured multiple times that there wasn't going to be an issue and that as long as I called in with the payment by 8:30am i would still get the flowers delivered. She then, with a really disgusting tone told me that theres nothing she could do. I asked to speak to a manager and she said " why would you need to talk to a manger? hes only going to tell you the same thing!" I told her that this experience was really unprofessional and she cut me off and said " you are really unprofessional, if you want the flowers you have to come in to pay first, and we really dont need your business anyways" and she hung up on me. With only 1 hour before my company event was to start I had no flowers! so i ran to the local Pavilions and they saved the day with beautiful arrangements. Then I received a call from the "manager" of Alfredo's/ Blue eyes flower shop and he said "i heard you had an issue with our service" and I proceeded to explain the entire situation. He brushed off Isabels behavior and attitude with the normal "ill speak to her" then he tried to justify this situation by saying the credit card machine was new and that not all of the associates were trained on it. INEXCUSABLE! the rep spoke and confirmed my order so confidently that I didn't even think twice about it. this business is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE TONES USED TOWARD ME WERE DISGUSTING. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO THAT WAY BY A BUSINESS THAT I AM TRYING TO WORK WITH. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE. HAVE CONTACTED THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR TO INVESTIGATE IF ISABEL IS OF LEGAL AGE TO BE EMPLOYED. UGH, do i really have to give them 1 star? they dont even deserve to operate. read more
