We were there to have fun while visiting Minnesota from Georgia. We were playing pickleball, cheering each other on, and enjoying the courts we paid for. About 2 1/2 hours into our reservation, a Caucasian couple came in to practice on another court. Shortly after, an employee approached our group and told us that the couple had left because we were "too loud." The employee also repeatedly reminded us that there should only be six people per court, even though that wasn't an issue and we weren't exceeding the court capacity. What really bothered me was being told that cheering during a game was somehow inappropriate. Pickleball is a social, energetic sport. If someone is looking for complete peace and quiet to practice, a shared indoor facility may not be the right environment. Expecting everyone else to stop celebrating or having fun on courts they reserved doesn't seem reasonable. The interaction left a bad impression. While I can't say for certain that race played a role, the way our group was singled out made us feel uncomfortable and unfairly targeted. It's not a great feeling when you're visiting from out of state, excited to enjoy a local business, only to leave feeling unwelcome. We paid for our court time, followed the rules, and simply wanted to enjoy the game. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled overshadowed what should have been a fun experience. I hope management takes a closer look at how customer concerns are addressed so that all groups are treated fairly and consistently.

We shared a variety of apps including the pickle fries, truffle fries, cheese & queso, wings & nachos and all were devoured. They were all so tasty and reasonably priced for portion sizes. We paid online, and at check-in they wanted a barcode that we didn't have, even when logging back in to the online portal. It got sorted out though. Overall, the facility was large and clean from the small portion of it I saw. It seemed like everyone on the weight floors had plenty of personal space. We were in the cycle studio downstairs, and it was beautiful and clean with probably about 50-100 bikes. Before I review the class, I'll put my fitness level here: I workout 6 days a week, 4 of those days are strength training/lifting paired with cardio or walking. I take one Orangetheory class a week, and normally add in a pilates/full body day. I'd say I'm in great shape, but am not very coordinated. Today's workout replaced my normal pilates. The AMP Cycle class was a great time, and it definitely has to do with the amazing instructor, MaryBeth. You could tell that the 9:30am Saturday class was full of regulars by the way she greeted and chatted with everyone. My friends introduced me and she was eager to help if I needed anything. My friends helped me adjust my bike and get me into position since I had never taken a spin class before. The class itself was the perfect level of endurance cardio challenge for me! I was able to take little to no breaks and keep up pretty well. Since I'm very uncoordinated and not great with rhythm, some of the moves on the bike were hard but easy to modify so I didn't go flying off the bike (I did have a couple of close calls lol). The music choice was a super fun mix of pop, hip hop, and EDM - all super upbeat and awesome to workout to. There were fun lights as well, which kept me motivated and having fun. Again, what took the class to the next level was MaryBeth. She's a fun motivator and easy to follow - one thing I appreciated is she never made references to pushing harder to look better - she always made it very self-fulfilling and about your heart and mind, without getting too soul-cycle-y. She even said an amazing heartfelt thank you at the end, which you could tell she meant - especially in a room full of regulars. On my way out, I also stopped at the Lifetime Cafe for a protein shake. I ordered the body builder (protein & creatine) with vanilla powder, strawberry & banana. It was a great little smoothie, but the protein was a little chalky. It also felt a little overpriced being $10 - but I got the vibe that Lifetime is a little more upscale so I understood the price. Overall, I would definitely come back for one of these spin classes or try another class if my friend has a guest pass! I personally do not need a full Lifetime membership at this stage in my life, but it's definitely something I would consider in the future.

Ken (coach) was able to quickly identify my level of play, my strengths and several weaknesses that were impacting my game. If I am able to focus on the drills and make improvement's in the areas we worked on, it's certainly going to have a positive impact on my game. My plan is to get additional lessons before heading to Mesa AZ for league play in the East Valley Senior Tennis Association. It's actually fun to get Quality coaching.

Concerts are held Monday and Wednesday evenings in the summer ...music is all genres. All concerts are free and open to the public. Yesterday the band was The Riverside Swing Band and they played Swing 30's & 40's, but they have all kind of genres, rock, classic and jazz. Come enjoy what's left of summer with an outdoor concert!
