Normally I love this place. Have been eating here one's a week going on 6 months now. But last night something terrible happen. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich for supper. I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst stomach pain I've ever had. Non stop to the bathroom. It was so bad I had to call into work. I definitely without a question had food poisoning. Not sure who the cook was that day, but please ,please, please, double check expiration dates, practice good hand hygiene, and make sure the chicken is cooked properly. Stopped here after hiking for a beer and snack. I thought the price of drinks was extremely high - $28 for 2 drinks for one person and 1 1/2 for the other - and you pour them yourself! I don't mind pouring them - that part is fine, but the cost is exorbitant. We shared sweet potato fries - those were yummy and reasonably priced. We came in for Easter brunch and it was fantastic! The breakfast bowl and burrito were a hit at our table. We also love the tap wall of beers and other drinks too! This place was great! We have never played pickle ball and you don't have to, to enjoy the space. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to our kids. There are some open spaces for kids to play with toys. There is a big menu and kids menu. Lots of variety for anyone. The drinks are self serve and measure your ounces. You also do not need to be a beer drinker though there is plenty of beer and cider options. There is hard seltzer as well as hard alcohol and wine. We went for trivia which was really fun and easy to play on your phone so you don't have to be in ear shot of the host. It is next to Target so lots of parking. Great place for a group gathering. We came in with a group of about 15 and they had set up a small area for us with food. Of course, it was cool to get the card that allowed you to go up and pour your own beer. We also enjoyed going out to our private pickle ball court and humiliating ourselves, I mean playing; we had a lot of fun. The beer options had plenty of beers, ciders and wine. I am typically a brown or red ale drinker and was not fond of many of my options so i enjoyed the Cabernet. It's great to have options. First time visiting and had a great time! The pickleball courts are nice and clean and organized. Players were respectful to others. When I asked the staff about water, they directed me to the glasses and water spigot. After playing, stayed for food and glad I did! I saw a lot of food on the counter ready for wait staff to deliver to the tables. They graciously let me take photos of the food and talked me through the menu, even telling me their most popular items and providing their recommendations. Also, seeing these orders gave me a better idea of what I wanted to order! The food and drink ordering system is easy to navigate. You simply register your credit card at the front counter, then you only pay for what you pour! One negative -- Be sure you tell the staff you have gift cards to apply before closing your check. A friend had 2 gift cards and the manager only noticed one card and quickly closed out her tab without applying the second card. He said there was no way to get back in to that account, so she was told to come back and use on a future visit, which was not ideal. read more

We've been meaning to visit this spot in the Northwest metro since they opened. What expected to be a rainy day prompted us to make a reservation. We played for an hour and each had a drink and a half. We checked in via the left door with the courts, which connected to the bar area near the restrooms sign. Check in at the bar, put a card down and receive a taproom card as well as a text with a link to order food. The taproom card is to be used at their open tap. We were elated to see a plethora of beer, seltzer, cider, mixed drink, and non alcoholic options. Each specifies the dollar amount associated with each ounce, so you can choose how much to pour and mix/match throughout your visit. We confirmed you could bring the beverages into the courts where they had bar tables to set beverages down. When you leave, drop the taproom card off and you close the tab. The courts themselves were pristine. There are 10 courts, 9 of which are fully visible (the tenth is behind a divider). We aren't seasoned pickleball players but we were able to enjoy ourselves indoors while volleying for an hour with rackets we were gifted. The only thing of note is that without the open air, the space does get loud and you may not be able to hear your partner/opponent well. The patio area wasn't open, but it looked beautiful and plentiful. It's as though you're in the middle of nowhere although we're right next to the highway and other businesses. read more

Great concept and very reasonable prices. Every time we are in Maple Grove we say we should try this place and we finally did! Rented a court for an hour. Booking online is super easy. Upon arrival, just check in and you're good to go. We were able to book same day on a Saturday. The brewery side is ample with a wide variety of options. You check in at the entrance, open a tab, and receive a card that you can scan to pour your own drink -- most drinks are priced by the ounce, so you pay for what you want to drink. When you're done, just close your tab online and pay. Bonus points for allowing you to bring drinks to the pickleball area for "hydration" breaks! My sister in Madison said she wanted to eat here when she visits nexts. My sister sent me pictures of their burger that had me drooling. Naturally, as a younger brother, I had to check it out first. There was a long list of items on the menu, which is refreshing. There's a chicken sandwich, nachos, and pretzel sticks that we will be back for, but we needed more mouths for those dishes. We tried the burger and fries, which are excellent - some of the best fries I've had in awhile. They cooked them extra long. The chips paired with our salsa were "meh". The square curds will make you smile from ear to ear. Everything came out hot which was also a win for us. The staff were friendly and this place has another side to the bar for pickleball. We had a fabulous experience today! We have been to many open play PB locations, throughout the country, so have seen many different approaches. This truly defined OPEN play, where everyone played with everyone, nobody held their paddles back while waiting for others, all were kind and willing to play, even with different skill levels! We also tried out the restaurant, which had fabulous sandwiches, and excellent service! To top things off, Connor (manager), was able to help us redeem a gift card we have had for over a year, while making us feel like we weren't total boomers for losing the QR code! All the staff were extremely friendly, and willing to stop what they were doing to make sure our experience was positive! Will definitely return for pickleball, food and fun! read more

We decided to try out Trivia Night with some friends. Trivia starts at 7 but we arrived around 615 to get some food prior to the fun. You have to check in when you arrive to get your wrist band, card for pour-your-own drinks, and access to the online ordering for food. They have 74 taps including beers, ciders, hard alcohol, and wine. I started with a margarita which was okay, but it was only about 5 oz for $10. I switched to cider and beer after that which seemed to be more reasonable ($4 coors light). For food we had nachos and truffle fries which were delicious. Great place for groups! Played picked ball first with my coworkers. Then we grabbed some food and drink in the taproom + kitchen. You have to check in at front to get a wristband and card, as you have to scan the card for the beers. We had a few apps, the pickle fries- wish they were a little thicker but they were yummy, the sweet potato fries (they had a Cajun seasoning) and the filet mignon sliders (idk if they were actually filet but they were really tender the gravy substance was weird tho). The wraps looks fire but didn't get them. For the workers- The whole table number system was a little off- we got asked a handful of times if a certain food was ours but it wasn't. I recommend having a table number map but the expo line to avoid the confusion by the servers. Overall great time and will be back. read more

We were with a large group of oldsters that haven't used the "tap cards" & the staff (Rockstar Palmer!) helped us thru the process! The food was incredibly tasty (see barbacoa nachos!) or boring (chips with salsa & queso) or expensive (wings 8 for $15) or disappearing (the fantastic bowls & housemade soup that the hungry bicyclists attacked & ate before I could photograph them). It was a great place to go with a larger group since everyone orders from their phones separately. It was loud so more like a club than restaurant, but with pour-your-own, who needs ambiance. A previous review was left already, but after reading the owner's response to my mom I feel the need to leave an additional review and be transparent about what happened. My family and I visited because we were told by the staff at a local triathlon that by showing our race bib we could get 20% off. Full transparency, we did not have a coupon, but we did have our race bibs and our tattoo numbers from the triathlon, so we verified and with THREE separate staff members at Pints and Paddle whether that would be sufficient. They all said, and I quote, "the race bib will be just fine for the discount, don't worry about it!" All 5 members of our party heard and verified this before ordering. We even joked about my mom verifying it too many times because it really wasn't that huge of a deal. With that being said, at the end of the day, it truly wasn't about the coupon, or the fact that the three separate staff members said we didn't need to worry about it. What upset us was the manager's lack of tact, empathy, and understanding at the situation. It was overall super disappointing and almost belittling to experience his response and reaction to us. The owner's response to our reviews speaks volumes, especially to lie in order to save face on social media. If video footage was truly reviewed, it would be a blatant lie to say that we were rude or disrespectful. None of us would ever be rude or disrespectful to service staff, and to be completely candid, we didn't have time to even consider responding in a rude way because the manager practically cut us off and walked away in the middle of us trying to explain and understand the situation. As far as a "negative review campaign" lol - you have negative reviews dating back as long as you've been open. Our five members have left reviews because we were all floored by the experience. but clearly you've taken matters into your own hands by having everyone you know leave positive reviews to combat your negative scores. read more

I have been wanting to try food from here for a while now. My work is like 2 min from here so I decided to doordash lunch from here. Ended up ordering one of their lunch combos. I ordered half the Italian Muffuletta with fries. The Muffuletta was made with Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Provolone cheese, Basil aioli, Olive tapenade on a Focaccia bread. The sandwich was delicious with the melted Provolone cheese and the creamy Basil aioli and the Olive tapenade added the perfect salty, briny flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy and even came with ketchup. All in all lunch was delicious. I will have to stop in one of these days and try something else on the menu. read more

We visited Pints and Paddle for some drinks on a Saturday night. We got there around 5:30 and it was pretty busy, but with the amount of seating they have, we were still able to find a spot pretty easily. Walking in, you check in with an ID and credit card and the staff will walk you through how the RFID cards work and how to order food. Food is orders through your phone and you can always view your tab. The space is open and modern - the taproom has neon signs, lots of TVs, and plenty of high and low top seating. There is a garage door that opens to an outdoor space when the weather is nice and windows looking into the pickle ball courts. There is an upstairs area with more seating and games. There were a lot of families with kids of all ages as well as groups of adults - it's a good space for anyone to enjoy. The tap wall has mostly beer, but there are wine, cocktail, and mocktail choices as well as soda machines. The beer is organized by type (sours, IPAs, lagers, etc) with descriptions of each. They have craft and domestic beers and you can choose exactly how much you'd like to pour. The cocktails have two pour options - a $1 taste pour and a full 9 oz pour. I liked that you can taste the cocktails before committing to the full pour in case they were too sweet. The food is done by Malone's and was very good! I ordered the bang bang chicken wrap with fries and it was really good - a little heat, nicely fried, and the wrap never got soggy. Others ordered the fried pickles, the side salad, and the boneless wings. The boneless wings arrived with the wrong sauce, but they were so good that we ate them anyway. Finally, the service was great. There was hardly ever an empty cup on our table before someone came to clear it, and they had staff available at the taps in case cards weren't working or you had questions. I wanted to address this in advance, not at check out. (Man at Check in desk who took my credit card, and server before ordering) Both individuals responded "no problem, we will take care of you when checking out". At NO time on the security footage will there be any indication of even 1 individual in our group as being rude or disrespectful to the staff or manager. Your response to blame the patron will not fly and is a blatant lie. Let's be CLEAR, this is not about the discount. It's about the frustration of inquiring in advance and being misguided by your staff and while I doubt it was intended, we like any other customer asked to speak with the manager. His attitude, lack of interest, response and dismissal was completely shocking! It's obvious his manner of resolving complaints/conflicts has been facilitated and supported by you as the owner. This is a terrific family friendly space, whether you are there to play Pickleball or not. The facility is very spacious, with two floors and an indoor balcony. I love the pour yourself your own beer concept, so you can try a small amount of a wide selection of different beers. What surprised me the most was how good the food is. Great salads, sandwiches, pizzas etc. Their app to order food is very user friendly.
