I absolutely loved the food here! Service was so/so, but it's a busy Sunday morning so no big deal. This egg mollet thing I got was one of my favorite meals in Paris.

Nice spot on the corner. Good place to get a drink and a bite to eat late. They decor is trendy casual and they have a good bit of outdoor seating as well. My wife and I got some beers (the waiter did not bring us the ones we ordered but they tasted good so we didn't mention it) and the Croque Madame. Food was great, drinks were good, and the prices were alright. A bunch of the staff spoke English, which was helpful, but they also have a menu that is in English, which was very helpful. Note: Tipping is not really a thing in Paris. Restaurants are required by law to pay their waitstaff reasonable wages and offer them benefits. Also, you will never get your check unless you ask for it. It's a courtesy thing, I suppose, but definitely foreign to me. It was my experience that the wait staff disappeared for long stretches of time as well, so flag em down if you're looking to head out soon!

Yum! Didn't get a pic of the sandwich though.

Very good food, great service, beautiful outdoor seating, good cocktails, and a sable Breton dessert to die for.

The service is good but the Pumpkin soup is very watery, such a disappointment. However the creamed chicken with pilaf rice was excellent.

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Still a strong mix of anglophones but locals seem to balance out the crowd. Fairly priced cocktails. I had the Beatrix which was a little too bitter for my taste, so switched out to the Pale Ale which was tasty. The live music was fantastic! Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.

Really love this cocktail bar (p.s. there is really no wine, coffee, tea, etc)…read more Wonderful red velvet armchairs, groovy 1960s rock 'n roll music in the background and a New York style cocktail bar from the 30s....what more do you want!!! The service is fabulous, poor English, though extremely helpful. It's a very cosy bar. If you're in the area, do check this place out...it's also very central to so many other places in Paris, so it's a great place to start or finish at...I wouldn't make it THE place to go. I had a very fruity vodka based cocktail (see photos) and my wife had a sweet beetroot cocktail (which she was fabulous).

Perfect taste in music: Check. Best - and I really mean BEST cocktails this side of Manhattan: Check. We stumbled into Dr. Lupin looking for a quick night cap and eneded up spending the best part of 4 hours there. So: we walk in. The bloke behind the bar exclaims before we even sat down: "I have no idea how to make a cocktail! I'm just guarding the fort! I can pour a beer if thats what you want". "Sure". I notice something about Jack Daniels in the bar and casually mention a Lemmy... "Don't move! The real bar tender is a Motörhead fan!". Peter (I think that's his name, but I was hammered, so could well be Rudolph for all I remember), walks in and takes his place behind the bar. We start exchanging stories of how we met Lemmy back when he was immortal... Aaaaaand... it was all uphill from there on. We slap some Motörhead on the sound system, cranck it up to 11... and the rest is history. I did mention the best cocktails this side of Manhattan. Let me explain: 50ml of Gentleman Jack 20ml of maple syrup 2 dashes of angostura bitters Top off with stout or porter beer. Grate some Tonka bean on top That called a Lemmy Angel and it's MAGIC! You have to try the hot bloody mary too. If only to see the only known use of a flame thrower in the preparation of a cocktail. EPIC! Merci les amis. Ce fût une soirée mémorable!

No other rating possible given the personal reasons we came and the very warm reception we got!…read more There was a bar on this site called Chez Ferdinand in August 1945 when my father was a soldier in Paris after the liberation. He and some friends went to this bar and spent an afternoon there. When they went to pay, the proprietor asked if they could spare any food instead to feed his family. There was little food available to buy. They gave him their K-Rations, keeping just one to share amongst themselves that evening. So for us to return and find this fun, vibrant bar there was priceless. We had written the bar earlier and made reservations and he was as excited to welcome us as we were to be there. Top that off with great specialty drinks, including what had been my father's favorite! Limited food menu but it was tasty! Fun atmosphere and decor! Be sure you give it a try.
