The menu didn't say the chicken was fried and breaded, which it was. And it came with cheese, which also wasn't mentioned. I was expecting a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onion (which it had), but the fried food and cheese I didn't really want. Also came with a barbecue sauce, which the waiter did mention. I'm complaining about the way it came, but I did eat it and it was tasty. My partner liked their sandwich. The fries that accompanied our meals were fine. A number of them were a bit hard. They were ok. The service was fine. I was going to order a salmon dish, but the waiter told me it was smoked salmon, so I declined. I'm glad he told me that (despite the fact he didn't mention the fried chicken.). It was nice sitting outside the cafe on the street corner on a busy Saturday night near the Eiffel Tower. As someone else said, although tipping is not expected in Paris, the card reader automatically presented tip options (not mandatory) starting at 10 percent. It was pretty late, our options were dwindling, and while this spot was a little more casual than we had intended for the evening, this cute Parisian pub ended up hitting the spot! We kicked things off with drinks -- a Gin Basil Splash and a French 75. For starters, we ordered the vegetable stracciatella and escargot , followed by the sea bass and roasted chicken for our entrées. Everything made for a solid, satisfying late-night meal. The real standout, though, was the service! Our server was wonderful, but what impressed me even more was that nearly every staff member who passed our table checked in to see if we needed anything. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The restaurant itself is cute and quaint, with sprawling patio seating that's perfect for people-watching in Paris. There's also a private room tucked away in the back. It was definitely LOUD , but I think a lot of that came from the busy street outside -- the block is packed with bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, so there's a ton of foot traffic and energy late into the night.
