This place smells like heaven. I can't wait to go pick my best scent. My only wish is they had a scent for Hinka. It's bath & lotion only.

Too bad I 'have' to give any star. Went in on Saturday to buy Another 13 lotion instead of just waiting on shipping. Worst 'customer service' ever. That wasn't even the part that is SO disappointing. The lotion did NOT SMELL like Another 13. Not sure what is happening but was told they don't make it in the shop there. It's sent to them and I guess all they do is package it. Only found out once I left the store and went to put it on. Immediately I knew so I went straight back in (after finding a new parking spot) and asked if the formula changed (thats when I was told they don't do it there) so because there was essentially NO SCENT -not even their tester I asked to exchange it for a different one. Super pissed I was forced to buy anything when I couldn't get what I went for. They were out of the 110 bottle and I was almost going to buy one of the perfumes and I'm so glad I didn't. Came in for a pickup purchase, which was prepared in less than one day. Sean was very friendly and informative about the scent profiles and helped me with purchasing a few samples to try. The store smelled amazing and was very clean. I am excited to try these scents out! I was skeptical about the experience based on previous reviews, but did not feel unwelcomed here. I has a wonderful experience at the Nordstrom Le Labo counter on Friday evening. I purchased a full size Noir 29 for over $335, I love a good perfume. LYS 41 was my second runner up at Nordstrom but I couldn't justify spending $700 in one day. Well I couldn't stop thinking about it so I looked up Le Labo and saw they had a brick and mortar location. I was very excited and drove there the next day with the intention of purchasing. The customer service was terrible, for the price of the fragrances I expected to not feel like an absolute bother to the employee. Someone did help me immediately upon entry recommended 3 perfumes looked bored out of his mind interacting with me then walked away. I smelled a few things on my own around the store then decided on purchasing a small version of the LYS 41. I noticed the same gentleman that had disappeared on me walk around and have the same attitude with another couple. I'll definitely stick to the Nordstrom Le Labo counter moving forward. read more

First off, Le Labo is the only perfume I wear. Santal 33. If I am in the MidEast, I go for Oud, but in US Santal 33. Michael was so helpful and friendly, NYC transplant. The building is lovely. Chic. Industrial and Country French. We learned the perfume lasts 24 months from opening, not 12 like before. We have to wait a week to open, but I have some from the MidEast to hold me up until the day. I want that 165 hour candle, but it isn't meant for me, budget wise.. precious shop. My birthday was a very pleasant day and i got the body oil..To me, the longer is ages it better it smells. Coming here was a real Labo of love. This is a very expensive cosmetic store located in the Montrose neighborhood and they sell a lot of very fancy fragrances. The fragrances themselves would get anywhere from a four to five star cuz they're pretty awesome. But I deduct one star because the prices are so out of this world that you could literally end up spending $1,000 for a fragrance. Yes I'm serious. I also deduct an extra point because I don't find the service here to match up to what you would want from a store selling $500 or $1,000 fragrances. read more

I was visiting Houston for work and decided to stock up on The Matcha for myself and my daughter. I read the Yelp reviews for this location prior to visiting and was prepared for whatever. When I entered the store the two sales associates were conversing with each and Jason (as I later learned his name), immediately greeted me and asked how he could help. I told him what I needed and he immediately began to place the order. Sean, went into the "lab" and quickly mixed my formulation. As I waited and Jason printed my labels, we chatted about Houston, his background, etc. and it was a lovely experience. So, although I checked reviews and was prepared for a pleasant or unpleasant visit, I was pleased that the reviews were inconsistent. I came to know about Le Labo from one of my family member and since two years i have loved using their products. And once i moved in Montrose area, I was happy to find a physical store where I can get my favorite fragrance right away rather than waiting for it to come in mail. The sales associates were quick to answer all my questions and give me recommendations, yet were also patient enough to wait while i sniff through all the choice . My favorite is Santal 33, the Matcha 26 and Noir. After I picked a scent, they custom printed a label and asked me if I wanted to include a 23-character message on it. The service at this store is just distasteful. You walk in and nobody acknowledges you, it's almost like the employees are bothered you are in there. I mean how can a company expect to sell high end, expensive perfume, and not deliver on the service? Insane. Truly unique fragrances for men and women. Le Labo products don't smell like anything else that I'm aware of, and almost all of them smell really good imo. Gaiac 10 is my wife's favorite. Another 13 is very good. The prices are very (almost prohibitively) high, but the quality is there. read more

Customer service is not good. At all. I was pretty much ignored the entire time. I told one of the male associates that I knew what I wanted and, doing nothing at all himself, told me someone would be with me in a moment. The one female associate working walked up to me not saying anything and when I asked a question was rudely responded to. If your smallest size of perfume is $90 try talking to the people who are actually trying to buy something. Absolutely not paying $90 for the smallest size that'll last me three months if y'all suck at selling things. Get new people..... how embarrassing. read more

I have been a steady customer Le Labo since they opened in Houston and today Sunday dec 13 th , I showed up there around 3:54 PM and the door was locked and there was someone inside, but the person (JR) inside made the sign that they were closed, but I had checked before venturing out during Covid 19 and both on the on their website and on the door it says open till 6 pm so I decided to make a call to the store and JR ( because I then asked his name ) picked up the phone and he told me that they close at 4 pm ( this call was at 4:01 so I know I arrived before 4 pm because the call was made after I got in the car. I asked why is that and he said today we close at 4 pm. I thought you were open to 6 pm I said and he just kept repeating today we are closing at 4 pm - very dismal customer service and lied to me because if they really closed at 4 too they would have been open when I checked the door... bye bye brick and mortar... hello online shopping ! read more

Cologne is great. Purchased it for my husband November 12th. His birthday was the following day. He wore it two days and loved it. November 15th he was placing it on the shelf in our bedroom and the shelf collapsed. The bottle fell and broke. Careless and accidental. He went to the store the following week. Not sure what he expected or what he wanted. Maybe a little sympathy but def not be so easily dismissed. I already mentioned to him I would buy another , so Maybe the discount offered for a refill. He took the box with the broken cologne. Reason for the low stars is the way they made him feel. He gave my name and didn't realize I put the purchase under his. The bottle had his name and a special note on it. The sales person who stated she was new to the store made him feel like he stole a bottle and was lying. Now I am reluctant to give them another $230. Husband and I are different. I'm the my steak is over cooked and I would like a new one and he's the no worries I will eat it thanks. Super easy going. Not sure if I would have went in the experience would have been different but I'm very disappointed in how he expressed he was treated. read more

Love Le Labo! This place is awesome, the only feedback I'd give is to not hassle the customer so much about samples. I know it's not an employee thing (employee said it was policy) but I spent over a thousand dollars on a fragrance, why be so stingy about samples and charge for 2.5ml samples? Especially when the Le Labo in the mall, not even the actual boutique, gives them to you so willingly. As a business it doesn't make much sense to me. I think I am not the ONLY one to write about their CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! One of the associates quite nice, his name is Brooks, at least want to share some knowledge with us. Another one could be the partner or co-owner of this property, that's the reason I want to post this right here and give you 1 star only. The OWNER guy, ( actually both of them sit down on the chair and sofa whole time) play on the phone and laptop, but at least Brooks is quite more friendly and showed some respect. Another dude, no comment. Cuz, he doesn't make a commission? Broke up with his GF? Last 2 wks work right here...... And he might or might not to worry about the sales, but, he shows me HE DOESN'T CARE. Even we walked out, said THANK YOU! I am a huge, huge fan of Le Labo and was elated when I heard they were opening a stand alone Le Labo boutique right here in Houston. This chic boutique is just gorgeous and perfectly stocked with the most amazing, sophisticated fragrances and candles. I have numerous favorites including their Tokyo Exclusive Gaiac 10, Rose 31 and highly coveted Santal 33. Their candles are also exquisite, I love their Petit Grain 21. If you didn't already know, Le Labo is very unique in that the experience of purchasing your fragrance is very personal. Everything at Le Labo is made to order right in front of you to ensure absolute freshness. It's so fun and worth buying just to watch them make your fragrance right in front of you! You also get to customize your label on your perfume bottle(s). The sales associates here are extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely will be coming back! read more

I have been using bergamot 22 for a while and wanted to have a new fragrance to rotate in. I didn't know Houston had its own location and I'm thankful for google searches. I stopped in after work one day and two lovely ladies greeted me and showed me to their entire collection. Starting from notes that I liked in the bergamot they helped me decide on the santal 33. It was an extremely difficult decision because the Jasmine was amazing too! I will definitely be back for refills and new fragances. read more

I gave up a discount at Saks Fifth Avenue to support this store. I was asked to checkout the city exclusives that retail at $460 per 100 milliliter. I found one that I liked for my wife but didn't know if she would like it. After receiving the bottle I purchased I asked for a sample to take home for her to try and me to smell the actual dry down. I was told I have to purchase a sample. Really??? I'll be sticking with Saks Le Labo. read more
