Le Labo fragrance has been on my list for a while now, so when I stumbled upon this store, I was really excited. The personalized service is what I really enjoyed the most. From the chemist pouring, to the labeling, it was a really great first time, customer experience for me. Yes, this is a "special occasion" kinda perfume, at least for me. So my strong recommendation is to spray your scent on your wrist and go have a cup a coffee. Scents change with each persons body chemistry and so, it would be a travesty to spend all that money and not be able to get a refund on something you thought you loved. After your latte and muffin has been devoured, that should be more than enough time for the scent to mingle with your bodies natural scent. Enjoy the experience, don't rush it and go through the other scents, even if Santal 33 is what you had your heart set on. I ended up loving bergamot much more. I've stopped in here a few times now and the customer service is always exceptional. During COVID, they will spray and let you smell as many samples as you'd like. Traditionally they have the fragrances all put and you can smell them, as you wish. I smelled a good 12 fragrances before deciding on 3 to take home. Samples that is, not fill bottles. Because these fragrances are pricy. With that said it's a super quality product. Just a few sprays and you'll be smelling the fragrance all day...sometimes even into the next day. I've even showered and the scent still subtly lingers. All of their fragrances are unisex. Some lean a little more bold, some a little more powdery, but they are all unique. The samples are $6 each and this is a good route to go if you're on the fence. Try it out. You'll hey a good 3-4 outings with the fragrance from a sample, so you can see how it performs and how it smells on your skin. All of the fragrances are then mixed and composed on the spot. It's a legit laboratory. The staff is more than happy to provide assistance and offer recommendations. There are a lot to try, so if it's your first time, be prepared to sniff a ton of them before making a choice. read more

They lie and lie and lie... Just before covid I bought a product from this location and it was not the correct formula. It took till nearly two years to sort it out and it did not go the way you would think. I first bought a version of Santal 33 from the Edition Hotel in south beach in 2015. I have since purchased Santal 33 from London, New York and Toronto. When I asked the Wynwood location if they could make the special edition Edition they said sure but sold me something else. The problem was I only realized it was not correct until I returned to Canada and then .... Covid. As you can see from my photo the Edition Edition was Santal 33 with a small twist. But Wynwood gave me a formula called Noir something. When trying to solve this mistake I was told "We sold you NOIR because it's close to the Edition edition". Well they are the experts right but I did not ask for "close". Had I been told it was "close" I would have said no thank you and bought Santal 33. After a lot of confusion double talk Wynwood finally with the help of "head office" agree to swap out the wrong Noir with the edition edition. Or so I thought... When I received the package and opened it there sat another bottle of f'n NOIR. For real. The donuts at Wynwood sent me another bottle of the wrong product. This week we flew to Miami and went to the Wynwood store to sort this out in person. When I got there I was told again they sent Noir because "It was close to edition edition". Like seriously WTF is wrong with these people. So nicely I said well I do not want "close" so lets just swap it for a Santal 33. The manager said "we are sold out of Santal 33" Well that sucks I say then lets do a gift card. "NO gift card only exchange" says the manager. Now wtf do we do? I say okay what else can I trade it for... Well low and behold her coworker says how about a Santal 33 perfume oil !!!!!!?????? SERIOUSLY???? But you said it was sold out I think but stay quiet and say...sure :) LIES LIES LIES Can someone who actually runs Le Labo go fire these or do some serious training with these morons. read more

Allow me to preface this with I'm not a huge fragrance person, however, after the third or forth person I asked said they were wearing a le Labo fragrance, I decided I had to check it out. Also, I live on South Beach and don't drive so it's a big deal for me to leave my little bubble. Nevertheless, I did because I had to check out the store to select what could have became my next signature scent. The store is a little underwhelming on sight, basic industrial feel, all except the overpowering mixture of different perfumed oils. Regardless I made my way to the perfumes and went at them, smelling them like a mad man waiting for anyone to acknowledge me in the store. Eventually someone did say hello as they helped a French woman who didn't like the fragrance she was gifted. Still I was offered no assistance as to selecting what could be my very next signature scent. After about 15 minutes I selected one, purchased it, and left. In the end, great fragrances, but I feel zero need to return to the store now that I have a general idea what everything smells like as the store offers you absolutely nothing beyond that. Do not come looking for exceptional service or an upscale shopping environment/attitude- something you may expect from as establishment charging such premium prices. Only known from a few small circles, the reputation and quality speaks for itself and know more and more people know about this great brand. Your whole experience is completely personalized. From choosing the size of your cologne, to actually having the chemist making it in house right in front you to personalizing your own labels. You get the whole package. The price is higher than most but in my opinion it's worth it. The employees there were all super nice to us and friendly. The one who helped us through the whole process was AMANDA C. When visiting the Aventura store last week, I had sprayed one of the scents on a trial paper and decided I liked it when I returned home. I was in Miami today and wanted to now try it on my skin to be sure it worked with my chemistry. Terrible customer service. When asking the staff questions, they answer with a condescending, rude tone. I went to the store to explore different scents and the staff made me feel like an inconvenience instead of helping me explore the brand. When I purchased my perfume and asked to customize my label and double-check the spelling, the store representative ignored me and proceeded to print the label. I went to the store twice - the first time i had a terrible experience. When i decided to give the store a second chance, i somehow had an even worse experience than the first time. This store really offers a great alternative to your main brand fragrances and scents. Pricing can seem to be a little on the high side, but Le Labo redeems itself with the option of bringing your fragrance bottle back for a discounted refill. The issue with the store for myself was the customer service, felt unwelcomed when asking questions. Followed by receiving quick and short answers when inquiring about bottles sizes and different scents. Douglas was kind enough to inform me and my friend of the origins of the perfumes, how they're made (in the store) and how they're different for each person once you apply it. He helped me choose the perfect one to fit my fathers description which was, The Noir 29. It had a a nice leafy/tobacco aroma.
