I loved every minute of getting my lip filler and Botox and felt completely at ease and had 100% confident in Amanda's abilities; leaving zero questioning if I'd absolutely love my results or not. She was very direct about what to expect considering I had already gotten them done before and felt more like a friend than another awkward service provider that you're trying to make small talk with. Two days post-appointment, and my lips look SO natural and exactly what I wanted. After having a horrible experience a couple years back, I thought I'd never get into fillers again, and thought thats what they would look like if I got them done again. What struck me most, was when she questioned why I wanted Botox in the areas I did which further went on about a discussion on not doing services on people if she feels they won't end up happy with the results, it won't look natural, or if you simply don't need it. It's hard to trust people this day in age, and you can really tell she's put her whole heart and soul into this and powers her business off integrity. I got a follow up call from her today, and that's something no service provider has taken the extra step to do for me as their client before. Just showing that much more professionalism in ensuring happy customers and strengthening her thriving business. This is a business I will gladly and most importantly, CONFIDENTLY, refer to everyone I know and will be a life long customer myself. This is extremely unprofessional especially since the business claims to open at 9am and at 9:45 there's still no one here. I'm basically waiting standing up in front of the door with nowhere to sit. They're extremely repetitive about being on time to your appointment lol. The technician never showed up for my appointment. Very informative 2-day beginners microblading training course given by Amanda J., a licensed nurse practitioner with 11 years experience in cosmetic tattooing & microblading. She gives you the basics on everything from prep, mapping, microblading & aftercare, to starting your business, state compliance, advertising & competitive pricing. You come away with your certification, a starter kit and the knowledge you'll need to get started. They also offer a supervised practice session with a model for an additional $800. They are located in downtown Miami in the Ingraham Building. There is a parking garage one block over for $15/day, but be aware of your surroundings & make sure to lock your car as downtown Miami is not the safest area. Overall, it's a great way learn to learn the basics of Microblading and earn your certification in 2 days! read more

The worst eyelash extensions experience ever. Granted I have curly lashes but that doesn't excuse the poorly done job. I wish they were more honest about their inexperience with people lashes similar to mines instead of deliberately taking someone hard earned money. I truly feel con in a sense. Please do your research before going here they may be superb with the brows but their lash extensions is horrific well at least the technician I worked with (Karim) very sweet lady but not at all ready to service people with curly eyelashes. I LOVE MY BROWS! I received my microblading treatment as a "model" -- ie Amanda did my brows in front of her students so they could learn proper technique. However after seeing the results I will definitely be returning as a long-term client! I was extremely nervous to try this. In fact, two days before the scheduled appointment I almost backed out (don't do this.) I called The Refinery Lab freaking out, and I literally asked Amanda (the owner/artist) every single question I could think of. I had read horror stories online about different microblading artists and wanted to make sure that Amanda was a true expert -- she is! We spoke for almost 30 min and Amanda patiently addressed every single concern I had. She is extremely knowledgeable about microblading, knows how to avoid mistakes other artists might make, has been in the industry for years and is passionate about her career. I knew I would be in good hands. Now, onto the procedure itself: first, it really didn't hurt much at all! She applies numbing cream so you don't feel much. I'm used to getting my eyebrows threaded and waxed, and the pain was comparable to that. While Amanda did her thing on my brows, about 10 students were watching, some even recording the process on their phones. I thought this would be awkward but they were all honestly so sweet and encouraging, it just felt like a bunch of girlfriends hanging out and discussing beauty techniques. Amanda knew I didn't want anything too dramatic but I definitely wanted to enhance what my momma gave me :) and boy, did she deliver ! She followed my preferences to a T, constantly checking in on my pain levels and making sure I was happy with the shape. When she handed me the mirror for the final time at the end of the process, I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling. My new brows give whole new life to my face. And the compliments from friends, family and coworkers has not stopped. I truly feel like a prettier version of myself. I am about 5 days into the healing process, which is going well. It took me a few weeks to post this review, it makes me uneasy to only assign 2 stars and here is why: After weeks of searching for a good reputable place for microblading I found the Refinery Lab, I booked a microblading/microshading session with Oksana. I was told that the session took 3 hours, however, she was finished 1 hour and 15 minutes later. My brows looked beautiful, the shape and color was perfect. I followed post care instructions to to the teeth, no water touched my face for 15 days, I do not use AHA, retinol or similar ingredients on my skin care routine, I went to my hair dresser to have my hair washed- ensuring that no water touched my face, I avoided the sun-which I always do, no makeup was applied to my face for 1 month. After 6 weeks there was hardly any pigment on my eyebrows. I called them and was told that they will let Oksana know about my concerns. 7 weeks later I returned for my touch up and was told that it was normal to have hardly any pigment. 40 minutes later, she was done, once again my eyebrows looked gorgeous and was told that 80% of the color would stay. I followed the post care instructions meticulously, and 2 months later, my eyebrows looked exactly as they looked the first time, faded, uneven color throughout, they only good thing is the shape, other than that, my eyebrows look awful! It's disheartening to have spent $615 plus tips, and one hour drive, and have nothing to show for. read more

Initially, I was a little apprehensive about taking the class. In reading the bio, I noticed Amanda was a nurse which ultimately made me register for the class. As a nurse, I felt a little more comfortable knowing I was being trained by someone in the same profession as me. After attending the class... I have no regrets! I don't normally write reviews but I felt the need to share my experience. My friend and I both went together to have our microblading done. We were so excited. We have been researching and thinking about it for almost a year. We felt very confident in choosing the refinery lab after looking at all of the positive reviews and pictures. We booked online, paid our deposit and waited a month for our appointment. We weren't greeted when we walked in the door, however someone else walked in after and was greeted nicely. My friend went first and before even signing any consent or being told what would happen she laid down and the technician started removing her makeup etc. then afterwards explained the procedure to her and signed everything. The same thing happened to me when I got in the chair. I showed the technician a picture of what I wanted and she seemed a little hesitant.. I don't know if it's because she didn't know what I was asking or if it wouldn't look best on me.. I'm really not sure. I decided to trust her and I knew my brows would be drawn on first and I would have to approve before we started. After she drew the shape I loved it and I told her we can move forward. Long story short after we were both done we were pretty happy with our eyebrows. Mine I feel we're a little uneven as you can see in the picture. I know they are supposed to be "sisters" not twins however I felt they could have been a little more symmetrical. The technician vaguely explained how to care for our eyebrows and explained we would need a touch up in 6 weeks which we were aware of before from our research. She also gave us the guide with the days broken down into how they would heal and we were told we may have some patches. So we left satisfied. The next day everyone at work was so happy for us telling us how great they looked. About day 7 or 8 my friends eyebrows were completely gone.. she sent the refinery lab a picture and they assisted her they were on the healing process. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and both of our eyebrows are horrible. Hers are half missing and mine look as if I had nothing done and they both definitely need to be filled in. We are beyond disappointed and feel as though we wasted a lot of money and more importantly our time ( 2 hours roundtrip a drive) this was an all day event. I feel like we should at least be offered a touch up for free. I also see another review saying our exact experience so hopefully this saves another hopeful client from a very disappointing experience! read more

I got a classic set and then a fill here and it was absolutely terrible. The first time I asked for a natural classic set and it was nothing close to what I asked for. Two weeks later my lashes started itching And poking my lash line which in my 4 years of extensions I've never experienced. I got a fill because they refused to refund the appointment I had already paid for even though I called 10 days before the appointment. After the fill the length was better but the eye itching and pain was even worse. I recently got them removed at my new lash place and the technicians were in shock with how much glue was used. It was so much the lash removal solutions wasn't even getting most of them out. read more

I took Amanda's Microblading Training Course and I'm so happy I did. For the amount you pay, you get so much included. She's very thorough in explaining. She literally goes person by person to show you examples and is extremely open and patient to any questions you have. What I really loved and I don't think every single training place does this, is she tells you everything you need to know and have about legalities. She provides in her booklet, the documents you need to have, what you need to have done to be ready for inspection with the state, all that. For me, that was a really big deal and she made it a lot easier to be able to understand. She really goes into detail about color pigments, how to do the certain strokes, what not to do and why.
