The owner is so sweet and it's such an amazing job on my dress. I came in originally to have it hemmed and she pointed out that there was gapping on the sides are on my shoulders. She said she could do both for a very decent price so I agreed I was nervous to pick it up because I have never done an alteration like that around the arms and shoulders. My dress was ready three days later was perfectly on time when I needed it and it looked stunning. Her craftsmanship is 10/10. You can tell she really takes her time and does high quality work. Overall negative experience. At $20 to get each pair hemmed, I would hope it would be a better experience. I took 4 pairs of pants totaling $80 to get hemmed for my new job, and she was not helpful at giving advice for how much to take off the bottom, even when i was asking for guidance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was rude and did not provide good customer service whether that be in person or over the phone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had to repeat what pants were mine about 6 times, and she could barely keep track of which belonged to me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When i went in to drop my pants off she complained about all the work she had to do and the customers that dropped the clothing off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Which I didn't think was tasteful. She also complained about me needing my pants done in a week, which i feel is reasonable. When i picked up my pants, nothing was labeled with my name and I can clearly see the stitching from the outside of the pants. It is so bulky down at the bottom that it creates this thickness and draws attention to the hem. Also the seams on the inside are frayed and have a bunch of loose ends everywhere. Service was extremely disappointing. From having complaints about asking them to be done in a week, to hearing complaints about getting other people's items done, to giving me attitude when i was asking how much to take off the length, struggling to keep track of my belongings and most importantly, sloppy work, I would advise you to take your business elsewhere. read more

Was looking for a good tailor nearby in irvine and decided to go here. The studio is clean and tidy and the owner was very nice and kind. I brought 4 pants to hem which she quoted me $25 each for two pairs and $40 each for the other 2 pairs as they were more difficult to hem due to a heavy leather material on one pair and stitching pattern on the other. She was able to alter the pants and called me to pick it up the day after which was amazing. The pants were also hemmed at the correct length, with straight stitching. I walked in not knowing what to expect, but I read the reviews and was not let down. It was a very last minute request, but she got it done THE SAME DAY. Had some alterations/repairs that needed to be done for a uniform and a greatcoat. She listened and I trusted her opinion. Like I said all done within the same day, let alone within roughly 2 hours. Little hard to find, but I walked in for a hem on some jeans and it was done in like 5-10 minutes. Cost $35. Hem came out pretty good and very close to the original. Would recommend if you need a simple hem on some jeans or something. read more

Had an odd experience here and only came here because of the great reviews so I thought I'd share my experience. I had a House of CB dress I needed hemmed at the bust and shorten the shoulder straps. I got this dress for my birthday so I took it in on Monday and asked if she can have it done by Friday. She said she can most likely have if done by then. As I was picking up my dress, she commented how it was so much work for this adjustment. Okay? That's why you're charging me $70 right? Odd comment for someone who seems to do more intricate work such as costumes. She had my dress done by Thursday, and as I was picking my dress up she kept trying to upsell me to get it further adjusted saying the dress was too tight on me. I was extremely uncomfortable and it felt like a backhanded remark on my weight. Then I asked if she had a hanger, as places like dry cleaners give you your clothes back on a hanger. That was my thought process. She seemed really confused by my question and was very reluctant to give me a hanger to take my dress back on. Regardless of all that, I'm looking at the stitching now and it looks very sloppy. I will not return read more

Horrible service. I would never come back here. I can in with an inquiry to get my dress altered or hemmed. My mom initially tried to get the job done because she had previous experience with it. When my mom did it, it didn't come out as nice so we took it out here to get it fixed for my conference. I walked in, and without even getting greeted she just says " what do you want ". I didn't mind it at first. I explained my situation and she looked at the dress and scoffed at it. She spent five minutes explaining how horrible a job my mom did and STARTED RIPPING MY DRESS. I was so shocked by her rude behavior. She was being REALLY judgmental and talked with a seriously condescending attitude. We get it. My mom hasn't been altering dresses in a long time, so it's wasn't a good job. We just wanted to go get it fixed, not to get yelled at. We just took the dress and left. A picture is worth a thousand words. I have a pair of Georgio Armani suit pants that teared apart that I took to Nargis. She said she can fix it by patching it. I wasn't expecting perfection, but this is what it looked like when I picked it up. Either Nargis doesn't have an ounce of integrity, or she doesn't have any "common sense", that you expect this is a perfectly acceptable fix to wear in public? Any tailor with integrity/honesty would have told me this is not repairable and I would have been absolutely OK with it. I ended up telling her to just trash those pants for me cause it is beyond incomprehensible what the finished product looks like as you can see. She also charges Montage prices but offers Motel 6 service. For my other two pieces, I had her only perform two tasks: shorten the width of my pants, as well as shorten the sleeves of my suit jacket. That's it. She charged me $100 for those two tasks. When I picked up my suit, she doesn't even have some kind of cheap clear plastic cover over the gourmet and she put my suit on top of her dusty desk that got me gourmet dirty therefore I had to take it to dry cleaning again. That is the very least you can provide to protect the gourmet during transport when you charge $100. The workmanship on them is also subpar compared to my other tailor By Design in Santa Ana which charges much less and offers Montage like services. read more
