The place is going down. Too expensive. The cakes are only good here. The cashiers are rude. Bread too hard

I drove over an hour each way because of the incredible reviews--and every single one proved true. In fact, my experience exceeded even my highest expectations. I've been baking from scratch for my family for more than 50 years, so I know the real thing when I taste it. This bakery is unquestionably baking from scratch. Honestly, I can finally retire my mixer and my family won't know the difference. Even my grandson--who is as selective as they come and doesn't usually care for pound cake--took one bite of my sample and immediately asked for a slice for the ride home. That says everything. Kesha, the owner, is personable, friendly, professional, and simply phenomenal. Businesses like this deserve our full support because they feel like our own community treasures. And as far as I'm concerned, this one is ours. I'll be returning again... and again... and again. Ms. Pp

I shared that I just moved to the area from Vegas and I had been following the store and I wanted to try! This gracious soul walked me in and introduced me to her beautiful staff who were sweet as cake! Kesha was leaving but I so appreciative of her time with me:) Now it was time for the biz! I had the ladies walk me through the flavors and they explained the deep fried pound cake! I ordered a flight: peach cobbler, double batter, strawberry and cookie batter. I also got a scoop of chocolate ice cream and a slice of lemon pound cake. The shop is so super cute!!! I loved it and I felt right at home. I got my treats to go so I could share with my Hubby. Oh wow!!!! We LOVED IT!!! The flight was amazing! Fresh, hot and yummy! So glad I found this gem!

They made the cookies, macaroons, both cakes that were served and mini pumpkin pies that were given as gifts for the guests. They also opened to enable us to buy goodies and I fell in love with the brown butter bourbon cookies!! They were 3 for $5 and I would have bought the 3 bags that were in the case, but a woman in front of me bought 2 bags so I was left with one. They have mini pies for $5 and while it was hard to decide (assorted cheesecakes, key lime pie, sweet potato pie, etc.); I bought a mini peach cobbler for hubby. They are the perfect serving size and he loved it! Both of the cakes they had at the shower (a chocolate and a yellow rainbow) were moist and delicious; the only downside is that we live so far away! But if we're ever in this area we will remember Park's Pastries for sure.

I believe they're moving to a new spot which will help the ambiance hopefully as the old spot was just too big. The owner is polite but the other staff was hit or miss. I really do hope they get it worked out. It's a great idea, but execution hasn't been good.

Beautiful bakery. 2. Beautiful desserts. 3. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. 4. Indoor seating. Extremely clean inside. Cons 1. The lady who assisted me was very sweet, but she didn't know dessert ingredients. There are signs but I had specific questions like - gluten free, etc. Overall, I recommend trying Le French Patisserie. The curbside appeal is adorable and the desserts are to delicious looking and tasting to pass up. Just inquire about ingredients if you have any dietary restrictions.

The desserts look beautiful in person too. I ordered the most expensive item they have. A pistachio matcha cake, $9.3. They charged me $12.2, a 30% tax (their words, they said it was all tax)? If it's service fee or anything else added, I would be fine with it, but they said it's TAX. they also never gave me the breakdown of the receipt, so I had no idea what was added. I googled the tax of this area, it's not that high. So Something is going on. The reviews on Google are fake. Very disappointed. Be transparent. It's an upscale area. I'm ok with paying higher prices, but be transparent.

First, I really appreciate how well packaged everything was. Second, it arrived in perfect and steaming hot condition . Thirdly, the portion was actually insane . I stg 5 bites in I gave it up lol. To be fair I'm not the biggest eater but I loooove a good meal and this was just that! Also please don't be fooled by the angle of the fries, i had already eaten some and i assure you it was full to the top. I ordered the smash burger and added caramelized onions and bacon because bacon . I also fries with a side of cheese sauce(gotta have it ) the first bite almost 100% healed me. This thing was HEAVY ! I appreciate when I can taste the freshness of ingredients . The cheese was a stand alone star all by itself . I know I say this allll the time but it's true. It's my first experience but it will not be my last. My total was 25.28 before tip and 39.26 after. Thanks so much guys and keep up the great work and consistency!

Ahuevo's Double Smash Burger (the most popular item on the menu) delivers a classic smash burger…read moreexperience elevated by thoughtful execution: two 100% American beef patties, real American cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and a signature secret sauce all nestled in a soft, buttery brioche bun . The patties are seared thin and crisp at the edges, which maximizes savory beef flavor and adds pleasant texture contrast. Reviewers on platforms like Restaurantji and TrustTheCrowd praise the balance of juicy meat and tangy toppings, and mention the locally‑made, fluffy bun as a standout feature . With a price around $10.99, the burger offers strong value, generous portions, and is consistently described as reliably excellent by a staff that clearly cares about service and ingredient quality. Good Mexican ambiance. Complementing the hearty burger, the Agua de Jamaica hibiscus drink offers a refreshing tropical contrast. It's a lightly tart, floral iced tea served from a newly added menu item at Ahuevo in Chicago--typically around $2 for a 16‑oz cup, making it excellent bang for the buck . The drink's bright crimson hue and crisp flavor cut through the richness of the burger with a clean finish. Customers often pair it with breakfast tater tots or egg sandwiches as a cooling palate cleanser. For those seeking a lighter, more refreshing beverage alongside a savory and hearty sandwich, the Jamaica drink is a perfect match. Overall, Ahuevo nails the fundamentals of a smash burger--think juicy, seared beef, crisp toppings, and handmade brioche--while their Agua de Jamaica adds a smart, refreshing foil that rounds out the meal beautifully.
