Stopped by their pop up coffee cart, Stroll Coffee, for a matcha and I also picked up a few adorable air plants and wood at a great fair price. If you're a plant person, cat person, coffee person... or all three, this spot is worth a visit.

Their outdoor plant selection is broad and vibrant, though I'm not the best at keeping outdoor plants happy, so I admired from afar. Inside, the houseplant section had a good mix of some plants you see often, but also a few rare and interesting ones I don't usually come across, including some unique philodendrons and a couple pothos. The indoor area is on the smaller side, so when it gets a little crowded, it can feel a bit tight... that's probably my only minor critique. That said, the overall vibe was welcoming. I appreciated being greeted when I came in and then left alone to browse when I mentioned I didn't need help. That balance matters. The prices were fair as far as my knowledge in cruising through plant aisles and sections. Nothing unreasonable from my perspective. I'm glad I stopped in, and I'd definitely come back once I and my new Nanouk get to know each other a bit more. All in all, a peaceful and worthwhile plant stop.

There is always so much to see here and during December, the feel of the holidays/season is in full display. If you need a table arrangement made for you, there's a person (I swear who looked a little like Santa Claus--was that a dream?) who was busy making them. The Christmas cacti were so beautiful. I wanted to buy one since my really old one at home decided not to bloom this year! If you need Christmas or holiday spirit and live close by, you should visit! It's a beautiful place.

Last week, after about 2 months of being in my care- two of my plants drooped down low and turned yellow! Outta the blue! All I could think of was all the $$ I wasted! That, and the thought that- this is exactly why I never had a baby!! I called Bob's, asked a couple questions, and the kind should said I could bring them by so they could take a look at them. I apparently needed to water them more, so now they're looking 1000 times better! They're gonna make it- Thanks to Bobs!!! When I pick my next pet plant, I'm absolutely going to get it from Bobs! Moon Valley did not sell and plant healthy yellow bells 2 years ago in my front yard. They have on…read more2 occasions replace some of the yellow bells. They are still ugly and look sick and have little growth in 2 years. They are watered and fertilized on a schedule and receive moon juice too. Nothing works to help them. The rose bushes I removed to make room for the yellow bells 2 years ago are starting to emerge under moon valley "inferior yellow bells" and look healthy. Not only do we go to them during the holidays but rely on them throughout the year when we need additional plants and trees for our backyard. We first started using Whitfill back in the early 2000's when they were on 40th street south of Roeser. We literally lived across the street from their nursery and when they moved to their current spot on Southern we followed! We have decades of photos with our boys standing next to the tree they choose for Christmas and the tradition continues now with our Sphynx cats! They used to have a peacock walking around but unfortunately he is no longer there. They are pet friendly and we are comfortable taking our cats there in the stroller. Not only are their prices and tree selections the best in town but their customer service and knowledge of anything tree related is vast! They know what they are doing and don't try to upsell or get you to buy unnecessary items. They are the real deal!
