I ordered flowers for my friend in ICU and the hospital wouldn't accept them. Paloma ladies went out of their way to let me know right away and were even willing to re deliver. My Mother's Day weekend was filled with three floral arrangements from my favorite neighborhood florist in Moon Valley, La Paloma Florist. They were all beautiful including the gorgeous yellow roses which my husband gave me on the Friday before Mother's Day. Unfortunately, by Saturday several roses had started to droop and by Sunday, more than half were looking very sad. When I contacted La Paloma, Naomi could not have been more gracious in understanding my disappointment, explaining the situation and making it right by sending me a beautiful replacement, another arrangement of yellow roses which still look fabulous after over a week! I have a dear friend who lives in North Phoenix, who, after years of devoted love and care, finally had to say goodbye to her beloved, 19-year-old dog, Hutchie. I prefer to work directly WITH a local florist rather than go through a 1-800-ShipFlowers, so I did a search and found La Paloma Flowers was close to my friend's neighborhood. At first I placed my order online, but it was really important to me that the bouquet I ordered not be a standard, white, "Sympathy" bouquet, because Hutchie and Laurie's story was SO MUCH MORE than that. She'd rescued him from a VERY abusive situation at age five, and had given him such a fairytale life. I stated this to the 24 hour person who answered the phone (I THOUGHT I'd be leaving a message, but the most amazing person actually ANSWERED THE PHONE AT 3AM!?!?!!?) Next thing I know, it's the next morning this wonderfully kind woman calls and identifies herself as "Naomi from La Paloma Flowers", and talks to me about my friend and her precious little dog who she's just lost. She listened with such compassion, as I cried and told her their story, and all the extra-ordinary things Laurie did to enrich her beloved Hutchie's life. I described Laurie's eclectic, bright personality, and, all the amazing things she does to help her neighbors, her community, etc. And, when online, I had chosen "Florists Choice" for the arrangement, and I said to Naomi, I was leaving the entire arrangement in her hands, but to please not make it a sorrowful, all-white sympathy bouquet, but a celebration of their lives together. DO NOT wish this experience upon anyone! On 11/12/18, my father passed away suddenly and we were planning the funeral service on 11/16/18 at 9:30am. I called Naomi, the owner of the shop, on 11/14, to see if she can complete a large order for us for the 11/16, she said yes. We went in to the shop on 11/15 to order flowers for the next morning, she confirmed she can do the job. The morning of my father's funeral 11/16, Naomi promised she would deliver the $800 order of flowers on time by 9am. 9AM- flowers not delivered, no contact from Naomi 9 - 9:20AM- I placed 11 calls to Naomi and she refused to answer-- the stress she created on already the hardest day of my life is indescribable. 9:40 AM- Flowers finally get delivered 40 min LATE, Church service is delayed with over 200 people waiting for the ceremony to begin, almost late to my father's Burial-- terrible attitude upon delivery from Naomi and fishing for excuses. 9:50AM- Naomia FORGETS MOST IMPORTANT FLOWERS, the casket piece, she asks if we want a refund??? NO, it is my FATHER'S FUNERAL. She leaves again to go get the casket piece and comes back at 10:15 AM (AN HOUR AND 15 MIN LATE). We finally start the service under so much anxiety and stress from the experience of something I trusted would make this day easier. Naomi did not call me to apologize or make it right. She ignored the fact that she ruined my dad's service. I WAS EMBARRASSED as 200 people stood around wondering what is going on and why there isn't a single fresh flower. Losing my father was already the worst day of my life but La Paloma Flowers topped it off by ruining it completely. I hope no one has to experience what my family and I had to go through the day of the funeral. I trusted a local business and they failed us completely. I am just shocked and disappointed by the unprofessional service by Naomi and her not taking ownership for what she caused. Complete embarrassment. read more

I received some of the most beautiful flowers from this florist. They lasted over a week and I still don't want to throw them away!

Unfortunately, I can't agree with the prior reviewers. We ordered flowers for our daughter's birthday. We specifically placed the order 4 days in advance so that the florist would have plenty of time to complete the order and deliver the flowers in the morning. By lunch time, my daughter did not receive the flowers. I called the florist to see what the delay was. First she wasn't sure what happened, I gave her the order number, then she said she had to investigate it and had to call me back. When my daughter finally received the flowers, It looked as if someone grabbed a bunch of flowers and simply shoved them into a vase. Some of the flowers looked like they were smashed up against a flat surface for a prolonged period of time. The arrangement of the flowers was very sloppy. What was supposed to be an exciting surprise for my daughter turned into a frustrating inconvenience. read more
