Victoria is the real deal -- she knows plants and was an absolute pleasure to work with! She had an answer for every question we had. As new homeowners who don't know anything about keeping plants alive, we had no clue what we were doing or where to start. Victoria helped us identify plants that would thrive in different areas of our front yard (full sun vs. partial sun, etc.) and provided clear direction on how to make sure our plants are healthy and happy. She was very patient with us and helped us on multiple visits.

Wow ! I came into Moon Valley today not knowing anything but Bradley was so knowledge and kind. I left with everything my plants needed and a fantastic experience ! Will definitely be coming back!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of working with Sofia at Moon Valley Nursery Arcadia. Sofia took the time to walk the grounds and help us find the perfect dead tree to decorate for Halloween. Thank you Moon Valley! Thank you Sofia!!

I had a great experience with Moon Valley Arcadia. I met Sophia and she made a plan for my backyard. She helped me pick plants that would be good in the sunny area behind the pool. Joey DeSilva and his great crew came and did the planting and really took care to measure out and make sure the area looked symmetrical to the center of the pool. It was an easy process, from meeting up in my yard, to picking plants at the nursery, to having them all planted a few weeks later. I'm very happy with the service I received.

I had a very favorable experience with Moon Valley Arcadia. I wanted to update my overgrown yard and the staff at Moon Valley were a pleasure to deal with. The entire process from my initial visit to the planting was seamless. I dealt primarily with Kelley Mace as well as the other Kelly who I believe is a manager. I used a whole variety of their services including pruning of a mature pecan tree, tree removal, as well as the installation of a 10-foot true date palm, a baby Canary Island (pineapple) date palm, and two weber agave plants. The staff were exceedingly professional and courteous, and I am very happy with the results.

Purple prickly pear. I've never seen one quite as gorgeous.

First of all, the value and pricing on the plants is fantastic. It's one of those rare places where you can buy several plants and not feel like you need to sit down and process your bank statement afterward. They also had a ton of great starter plants, which I loved. It's perfect for people who enjoy starting small and getting to watch their plants grow and thrive over time (or at least giving them a fighting chance in my house). The selection of plant accessories was also great--pots, tools, and all the little things you didn't know you needed until you saw them and suddenly couldn't leave without them. Overall, it's a really fun place to wander through whether you're a seasoned plant person or someone who just bought their first pothos and is hoping for the best. Great plants, great prices, and a dangerous amount of temptation for anyone who loves greenery. I will absolutely be back... probably sooner than my windowsill space would prefer

Not only do we go to them during the holidays but rely on them throughout the year when we need additional plants and trees for our backyard. We first started using Whitfill back in the early 2000's when they were on 40th street south of Roeser. We literally lived across the street from their nursery and when they moved to their current spot on Southern we followed! We have decades of photos with our boys standing next to the tree they choose for Christmas and the tradition continues now with our Sphynx cats! They used to have a peacock walking around but unfortunately he is no longer there. They are pet friendly and we are comfortable taking our cats there in the stroller. Not only are their prices and tree selections the best in town but their customer service and knowledge of anything tree related is vast! They know what they are doing and don't try to upsell or get you to buy unnecessary items. They are the real deal!

I shouldn't need to walk all the way back up front to ask -- and I've been giving the wrong information before anyhow. Its important to know what kind of plant you're buying for multiple reasons. The other Whitfill location (off Guadalupe and Cooper) doesn't have this issue. Overall I think the plants are pretty healthy but after having an issue with lack of labeling (on both the kind of plant and pricing), having been given the wrong plant info on a plant, and after having asked if they had Pink Fairy Duster and being sent off in a direction to wander and never find it on my own, I'm really over this location.
