Unfortunately, when I arrived, I found a notice on the door indicating that the restaurant was currently closed, even though it was supposed to open at 5 PM according to Yelp. I understand these things happen, and I appreciate their communication. I'm looking forward to dining here in the future and will update my review once I have the chance to experience it properly. For now, just a heads-up for fellow diners!

Service was phenomenal and our waiter checked in frequently with us. The food was absolutely immaculate. My favorite starter was the salmon crudo. For the main, two people carried out a mouth dropping spread of tiger shrimp, scallops, grilled octopus, lobster, lamb chops and a tomahawk. More than enough food for the 6 and everything was cooked perfectly- octopus wasn't chewy and the meats were super flavorful and tender. They were very accommodating to dietary restrictions as well. They had a DJ and lively atmosphere after dinner so we stayed and got bottle service. Fun spot with great food is always a winner in my eyes. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Montreal!

The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. The space is elegant, warm, and romantic, with a beautiful atmosphere that makes you want to linger. It wasn't too busy (likely because it was Sunday), but that only made it feel more intimate. For appetizers, my friends ordered the French onion soup and escargot. The soup was flavorful and served piping hot--it stayed that way for over 20 minutes! The escargot isn't usually my thing, but my friends raved about how buttery and delicious it was. For mains, I had the spaghetti aux fruits de mer. It looked incredible when it arrived, and the flavors matched the presentation--fresh, savory, and satisfying. My friends went with the suprême de volaille and the bavette grillée & frites. Judging by their clean plates, they clearly enjoyed every bite. We ended the night by splitting multiple desserts, which was the perfect finish to a memorable meal. Overall, Henri Brasserie exceeded expectations. Between the beautiful setting, attentive service, and dishes that truly delivered, I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a romantic dinner or a special night out in Montreal.

Stogies Cigares Lounge is a good cigar lounge with even better service. For first time visitors and…read moreat night, you might be s little confused as to where it's located. You might observe the sign over the doorway, but that doorway does not lead directly into the cigar lounge. Instead, you walk up the steps from the sidewalk through that doorway, through a part of another establishment, then back to a two flight stairway to the upper floor where the lounge is located and greeted by the bouncer. That is the first clue this is not a cigar lounge one typically expects from the US or elsewhere. Stogies has a club vibe more than a relaxed lounge vibe. It caters and targets a young audience in their 20s and 30s. The music volume is elevated and also targeting a young audience; no jazz, no salsa, no old school R&B. You will have to elevate your voice to match the volume of the music. These qualities detract from the experience one might ordinarily expect and these are the primary reasons Stogies does not score highly with this review. Emma, our server, was the standout and patiently explained things to me. Stogies is the only exclusively cigar oriented establishment in Montreal owing to their laws and regulations. It is among a number of places grandfathered into the license. The others are restaurants where one can smoke in select areas. Stogies is exclusively a cigar lounge and not a restaurant or bar. They have a humidor, but it is not large. They sell Cubans with their own Stogies bands over the original Cuban bands, but those will cost you given the high Canadian tax on tobacco, and how much the Cubans have raised prices recently. You are not charged a cutting fee for bringing your own sticks, which I fortunately had one. However, the liquor pours are paltry and even a double is less than a single in the US. So this is where they will get you; though, everything else is reasonable. The lounges will get you one way or another like taxes. I would recommend coming here during daylight hours and during the weekdays when the music would be toned down and the atmosphere a bit more laid back and conducive to work or conversation. There is a balcony with seating and an awning covering it that looks out onto the street below, where one can sit and enjoy a relaxing smoke as long as it is not too cold. Otherwise, the interior ceiling and ductwork are painted black, contributing to a club decor. The bathrooms are back down those steps for reference and it was my last stop before departure and the Uber to the hotel. My friend forgot her umbrella and Emma caught me downstairs near the front doorway before we left. Emma, if you read this review, thanks for being a great person and host. Management, pay attention. 3.5 stars

It's a beautiful restaurant, they cover a wide area within the hotel, including a lounge area, a more cocktail bar area, and a full restaurant set up. The beauty? They cover anything you might want. The downside? They're busy and usually severely behind schedule. I've been with great, consistent staff and I've been and left after 20 minutes of no check in. It can be hit or miss, but when it hits? It hits. They also provide the food that you order up to your room, which is probably my favorite part. Hotels rarely offer the same great menu to your room and so I always know when I've had a long workday that I can just get the same great dinner and lounge in bed after and avoid people. They also are great at getting breakfast to your door early, which makes trips to Montreal so much easier, especially if you're going for work. They always have a great selection of drinks, full bar so they offer everything, and the bartenders has been the same for at least a couple years. They're really nice. They do a good job. Ask for the food, it is always good, and the part I love is that they're very good about allergies when you mention it to them. They offer gluten-free bread and they change out ingredients. I've never had a bad meal or snack. So even when sometimes the weight is too long I know I'll be back another day and I'll have something great.

There is a bar in front with lounge style seating. It was eclectic and the music had a French twist. I ate lamb the first night and steak the night after. Both delicious but I liked the lamb better and the nioch was a nice touch. The thinly sliced fries with the steak was difficult to eat. The octopus was amazing and soft. Overall great and attentive staff and good food.
