I was warmly greeted by the receptionist who told me to sign their service form and have a seat for the next available stylist. While waiting, I looked around and was impressed on how clean and organized the salon was. I also learned that the salon offers facials, Bollywood-style threading, waxing, make-up, Henna tattoo, nails, and hair. The stylist, named Syeda, was ready for me and in less than ten minutes, she skillfully shaped my eyebrows the way I wanted them with precise control. Experienced slight pinching, but I was used to it from past experience with waxing. When she was done, she asked me if I wanted another area of my face to be done or if I wanted to try one of their facials. I had to politely refuse due to limited time. I paid $12 for the service and vowed to come back for their facial and to get my eyebrows reshaped. I was very satisfied with the service.

Rather than do the services at the same time, they opted to do all the services separately: her manicure, pedicure and then my pedicure. I waited for over an hour before they even sat me for my pedicure. Mind you, I had an appointment and confirmed it the day prior. I was there for over 3 hours. Not offered a water or anything. Then when it was time to pay, apparently adding gel (which I know is always an up charge) was an additional $35! I didn't complain at all during my 3+ hour visit, just sat politely but did question the amount of the upcharge. The woman said 'Yes. That's correct. Now goodbye' With all the salons in the area, an expense nearing $200, I expect more. I would never return nor recommend.

She sees the same nail technician, Cindy, who does an outstanding job. I have also had my nails done when I visit my daughter, this most recent time is no exception. And I am visiting all the way from California. Jack did my nails- and he did a great job. This review does not concern the nails techs, Cindy and Jack. Rather, this is focused on the poor customer service from the receptionist, Shania. My daughter scheduled our appointments on Saturday afternoon. We arrived on time, my daughter went to her technician's station after checking us in. Unfortunately, the receptionist did not show me where to go or tell me who my appointment was with. First impressions are lasting impressions. I noted this as I returned to the front desk and repeated my name, that I had an appointment but did not know with whom my appointment was scheduled. Shania showed me to Jack's station but still failed to tell me his name. At the end of our services ($300 of services for my daughter and me), Shania asked me if I wanted my receipt, to which I said 'Yes". I asked Shania if I could tip in cash, which she said 'Yes'. I gave Shania 2 $20 bills and informed her I was tipping $20 to Jack, $10 to Lin (the techs who did my mani, pedi). My daughter already tipped her nail tech. Shania failed to give me my change and I did not notice until we left the salon and went to our next destination. By the time we got to our destination, I told my daughter we need to go back to the salon because I did not receive my change. When we returned, my daughter went inside, explained to Shania that she did not give me my change ($10). Shania told my daughter that I told her $30 tip for Jack and $10 for Lin, that Jack already left for the day and we'd have to wait until Monday before we could get the change. My daughter told her that was wrong, I would not have tipped $30 on a $100 service and did we really have to wait until Monday to get change that was owed. My daughter returned to the car and gave me Shania's explanation which was unacceptable to me so I went into the salon. I confronted Shania who repeated the same story- that I told her $30 tip for Jack, $10 for Lin. I said, "You're lying because I clearly told you $20 for Jack, $10 for Lin". I don't normally call people out like that but there was no remorse from Shania, no apology, no words like, 'I'm sorry for the misunderstanding." Instead, she responded with feigned shock, said it was not a big deal and gruffly put 2 $5 bills in my hand. I said if it was not a big deal then you should have given my daughter the money when she came in a minute ago, particularly because we doubled back once I realized I did not get my change. This is not about the $10. Rather, this is about the principle of the matter- how to treat customers who are spending good money in your salon. This is not how a receptionist should deal with customers. She took no accountability, no responsibility for the mistake. If she had genuinely apologized, that would have been different. I explained to Shania that we doubled back because I realized the error and even then she could not manage to muster an ounce of remorse. She is a horrible receptionist. A receptionist is the face of a business. The first person that a customer interacts with whether over the phone or in person. Shania should not be the face of your business. Please put a receptionist in place that understands the value of providing good customer service and has the maturity and wherewithal to acknowledge when a mistake has been made. Until then, your business will suffer. I echo the comments of a prior reviewer- the additional charges for every little thing is annoying and leaves a poor taste in customer's mouths, not to mention seeing each technician with signs posted at their stations with QR codes to send them tips. Seeing those posters and signs for how customers can tip each nail technician through Venmo or a Cash App service really cheapens the ambiance and having to interact with a receptionist who has no clue on how to treat customers does not help!!!! $300 for nail services for 2 people, plus tip and a bad attitude? I was immediately greeted upon entering and only had to wait a short time to be seated at a station. Being an ambivert and not really into small talk, I don't usually hold conversions while getting my nails done. But! Kay and I talked and laughed for almost the entire time! She's very personable and down to earth. She's also a perfectionist, which I love. It's very evident that she loves what she did and takes great pride in her work. When I asked if you can do highlights without toner I was told that you could if you had super blonde hair. I have never seen a quote for highlights that didn't include toner in the quote. As for the haircut; Bernard Said that he could lighten up my thick hair without losing any length and then proceeded to give me two separate haircuts where he cut the top layers very short and left the under layers long. It looks like two separate haircuts. When I asked to look at the back after it was dried he said he didn't have a mirror. Now I know why! It is the worst haircut I have ever had by far.
