The interior has a calming effect on me. The furniture is comfy and relaxing. Salina is the only one who has cut and colored my hair. She always does a great job especially since I never know what I want. I can give her a general idea of what I want to do with my hair and she lets her creativeness take over. I had stopped coloring my hair years ago because the color always came out the same. Ronald McDonald Red. Red is my favorite color but I don't like it as my hair color. The first time I had her color my hair I told her that I do not like RED on my hair and she made sure my color does not have even a hint of red in it. She won my confidence and my business. My husband also goes in for haircuts at Salina's. Always comes out with a great cut. He had tried other salons, without success for a good cut. There are 2 others that work with Salina and they have all cut my husband's hair at some time. All have done an excellent job. Prices are affordable and less than the prices I was paying in Albuquerque. Another plus! Call for an appointment. I try to call and make an appointment in advance but dh always waits until the last minute. Salina's Hot Spot has always made the effort to get him in the day he calls. The salon offers other services as well. When I take advantage of those things I will add to this review!

When it comes to my hair I'm definitely skittish as to who is doing it. Because I am not familiar with places here. I took a chance here because they were the only place open late. As I walked in within a minute I was greeted and asked what I needed and if it was possible due to time. They said yes and started on me about 5 to 10 minutes later. Now what I wanted was copper and my hair is dark brown. I showed the color and the stylist noted we can get close but no guarantee because of my hair being dyed already. She did her wonder and made sure to keep an eye on how my hair was doing as well as myself. She was pretty successful. I gave 4 starts cuz it's not the exact color but it is close and my roots are a little brighter than I wanted but I am aware of color changing after washes. So I'm not worried about it. The stylist offered to darken them if I later decide to not like how bright they are. My stylist was Stephanie! Great customer service, great personality, very polite and welcoming. Thank you guys!
