I don't speak French and he really did his absolute best to make our stay was comfortable and warm. Make sure you arrive no earlier than 4 pm. My son and I arrived a bit early (about 3 hours). They open at 4 on the dot and close right at nine. So make sure you are there during those times to check in. However, this gave us time to explore the cute and relaxing little town to have a Quiche and some afternoon drinks. I had a crisp rosé and my son had some cold water served in a glass bottle. The crew was amazing, the food was amazing, the actual barge was amazing. No, I'm not running out of adjectives... that's just the best one to use. Eight of us chartered the barge for a week and let me tell you, the food and drink was plentiful... as in, it never stopped and you actually had to learn how use moderation. The daily excursions into medieval villages were interesting, educational and well-curated. There are bikes on board and when you are done pedaling, a jacuzzi (with champagne or gin-and-tonic) waits for you. There are a number of "hotel barge" operations in canals all over Europe and not many Yelp reviews so how do you know which ones are good? They were very helpful in giving me directions as well as suggestions of places to eat and things to do in the neighborhood. The rooms were extremely clean and modern the breakfast was healthy and filling. They are extremely accommodating. When I am far from home it was an amazing experience to feel at home! I have rebooked twice already and every experience gets better and better! ;))) you won't regret booking here!

The appartment we stayed in at Les jardins de la Source was the perfect accomodation. It is a one bedroom with a large living room (with a sofa-bed), fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, and walk-in closet. It was roomy and comfortable for two adults and two kids. The breakfast was really good with fresh fruits galore, bread and croissants delivered straight from the local bakery, jam and honey from local producers, yogourts... Miguel, the owner, is very friendly and really did go out of his way to make our stay memorable. He provided a pack n play for our baby, Disney favorites for our elder to watch, and he was very accommodating to fit in a couple of wonderful hammam and treatment sessions in our tight schedule. We had a lovely relaxing time and we will make sure to stay there again on our next trip.

Babette also organized a wine tasting on the terrace... a lovely way of relaxing before heading out for a meal and a nice way of meeting other guests.
