About half of the items in the estate sale on Renaud in Grosse Pointe Shores were not priced. Workers throughout the house said that I must take the unpriced item to the paying area in order to learn the price of many items. I don't have the patience to take the item to this person and wait in line until it is my turn to learn the price. I find this practice offensive and unprofessional. Many items that did have price tags, were priced extremely high. See prices on two ceramic rabbits at this sale compared to the ceramic rabbit on my patio for which I paid $5 at an estate sale. read more

Customer service is atrocious. I won an item from this shop in an online auction. After a few weeks, I received an invoice for shipping. When I checked my credit card balance I had been charged already for the item and what I assumed was all of the fees, including shipping. I had never received any invoice whatsoever so I inquired about receiving an itemized invoice. The individual who responded to my emails was extremely rude stating that I should have received multiple emails and I never responded. I had not received any and they were not in my spam folder. In an email response, the individual told me I was lying that I had never received any emails and that I was the only one who indicated that I had not received my invoice. It was a very lengthy email that went on and on . I found this correspondence to be incredibly rude and this individual was disrespectful to their customers. Warning! Do not use this place to sell your estate items. I worked with Rick and gave him reserves for all my pieces, later finding out that he sold them way under the agreed upon price. He doesn't provide you with receipts, therefore you really don't know what they actually sell for. When I put a reserve of $500 and then I end up with only $50? How does that work? I don't know if he pockets the money, but there are no receipts, no contracts, NOTHING! You don't even know if the pieces actually sell. Trust me stay away! Rick is a liar who steals from families. Myself and others I have referred to Le Shoppe Too, have had a delightful experience consigning items through them! It is an amazing place to shop for unique high quality vintage pieces!! The staff has been friendly, professional and just fun to work with! I am a consigner who frequently has them sell items for me, and have been beyond pleased. They have a vast clientele world wide, handle taking the photos and shipping worldwide! SO Thankful for them! CROOKS! SELLERS BEWARE! Where do I begin. This dump of a store is not fit to sell any family heirlooms of value. They arrived at our house putting stickers on valuable furniture such as leather - as a way for the movers to know what to take. They did not create an inventory list OR take photos for that matter. Rather, they expected us to let them take everything and then receive a list later on. Now, we are not a family of dummies and know that is how people can steal (not accounting for items) and not account for damages done BY THEM. Therefore, we had to quickly take photos and make a list ourselves as they were quickly moving everything out the door. We did not receive the inventory list when they said they would send. However, our couch was magically sold. When we arrived at this shit hole I wandered around the store to find our expensive vase thrown on the floor in a dark hallway - we quickly took that home with us to sell ourselves. The fact that they wanted our priceless works of art is actually comical- they are nowhere near fit to be accountable for museum pieces. If we're talking money - they will try to get the price adjusted as low as possible so that they can sell fast / or just price up to what they want later and keep the higher amount for themselves. They have no problem selling your furniture but then do not send you a check in a timely manner. A very expensive piece of ours was returned to us COMPLETELY DAMAGED with the door completely off of the hinge. They claimed they would only give us a small amount of money to repair. They wanted all of our furniture yet were only able to sell two pieces. I hope BUYERS and SELLERS do not work with this place, never in my life have I had a more unprofessional experience. The furnishings are amazing! Some of the people that work there are very kind and others are extremely rude. Be careful, if you consign your things, as the contract is very vague. They will sell for the price they want when they want. I had a difficult time finding out (never did) why one of my items was sold for $500 less than the agreed price in the first two weeks. As well, I was told contradictory stories about the actual sale of that item! Unfortunately the business etiquette was sketchy so I can't recommend this store. read more

I've been there twice now and both times I've found some amazing pieces!! The owner (presumably) cashed me and my friend out, and knocked dollars (emphasis on the S) off of each piece as she rang up our orders. This review is for Changing Hands estate sale company, which is owned by Leslie Weisberg who also owns Le Shoppe. The negative reviews are totally unfair - Rick Behar never had anything to do with Changing Hands. He also has nothing do with LeShoppe anymore and hasn't for some time. These old reviews are painful to a "straight up" honest business. Leslie runs a very good estate sale, is fair and reasonable to both the seller and her customers. She takes time researching what she is selling, and is knowledgable, friendly and fair. She is the opposite of rude. I go to many estate sales and she is, in my opinion, in the top tier of estate sale companies. I wouldn't hesitate to use her services. read more
